Introduction

Please make sure you familiarise your-

self fully with the way the device works

before you use it for the ﬁrst time and

that you understand how to handle electrical pow-

er tools correctly. Further details can be found in

the operating instructions. Keep these instructions in

a safe place. If you pass the device on to anyone

else, please ensure that you also pass on all the

documentation.

Proper use

The heat gun is intended for the removal of paint,

for warming (e.g. heat-shrinkable sleeves) and for

reshaping and welding of plastics. It may also be

used for detaching glued connections and for de-

frosting or thawing water pipes. Any other use or

modiﬁcation to the device shall be considered as

improper use and could give rise to considerable

dangers. The manufacturer will not accept liability

for loss or damage arising from improper use. The

device is not intended for commercial use.

Read all the safety advice

and instructions! Failure to observe the safety

advice and instructions may result in electric shock,

ﬁre and / or serious injury.

Keep all the safety advice and instructions

in a safe place for future reference!

The term “electrical tool” used in the safety advice

refers to electrical tools powered by mains electrici-

ty (by means of a mains lead) and electrical tools

mains lead).

Workplace safety

well lit. Untidy or poorly lit working areas

can lead to accidents.

in potentially explosive envi-

Electrical safety

The mains plug on the device must match

the mains socket. The plug must not

be modified in any way. Do not use

plugs and matching sockets reduce the risk of

electric shock.

b) Avoid touching earthed surfaces such

as pipes, radiators, ovens and refrig-

erators with any part of your body.

There is an increased risk of electric shock if

your body is earthed

c) Keep the device away from rain or

moisture. Water entering an electrical device

increases the risk of electric shock.

Do not use the mains lead for

any purpose for which it was

not intended, e.g. to carry the

device, to hang up the device or to pull

the mains plug out of the mains socket.

Keep the mains lead away from heat,

oil, sharp edges or moving parts of the

device. Damaged or tangled mains leads

increase the risk of electric shock.

e) When working outdoors with an

electrical power tool always use ex-

tension cables that are also approved

for use outdoors. The use of an extension

cable suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk

of electric shock.

f) Use a residual current device (RCD)

for protection if operating the electri-

cal power tool in a moist environment

is unavoidable. The use of an RCD reduces

the risk of electric shock.

3. Personal safety

a) Remain alert at all times, watch what

you are doing and always proceed

with caution. Do not use the device if

you are tired or under the influence of

drugs, alcohol or medication. One mo

ment

of carelessness when using the device can lead

to serious injury.

b) Wear personal protective

equipment and always wear

safety glasses. The wearing of

personal protective equipment such as dust

masks, non-slip safety shoes, safety helmets or

ear protectors, appropriate to the type of elec-

trical power tool used and work undertaken,

reduces the risk of injury.

c) Avoid unintentional operation of the

device. Check that the electrical power

tool is switched off before you connect

it to the mains, pick it up or carry it.

Accidents can happen if you carry the device

with your ﬁnger on the ON / OFF switch or with

the device switched on.

d) Remove any setting tools or spanners

before you switch the device on. A tool

or spanner left attached to a rotating part of a

device can lead to injury.

e) Avoid placing your body in an unnat-

ural position. Keep proper footing

and balance at all times. By doing this

you will be in a better position to control the

device in unforeseen circumstances.

f) Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear

loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your

hair, clothing and gloves clear of mov-

ing parts. Loose clothing, jewellery or long

hair can become trapped in moving parts.

g) If vacuum dust extraction and collection

devices are fitted do not forget to

check

that they are properly connected and

correctly used. The use of these devices

reduces the hazard presented by dust.

Careful handling and use

of electrical power tools

a) Do not overload the device. Always

use an electrical power tool that is

intended for the task you are under-

taking. By using the right electrical power

tool for the job you will work more safely and

achieve a better result.

b) Do not use an electrical power tool if

its switch is defective. An electrical power

tool that can no longer be switched on and oﬀ

is dangerous and must be repaired.

c) Pull the mains plug from the socket

before you make any adjustments to

the device, change accessories or when

the device is put away. This precaution is

intended to prevent you from unintentionally

starting the device.

d) When not in use always ensure that

electrical power tools are kept out of

reach of children. Do not let anyone use

the device if he or she is not familiar

with it or has not read the instructions

and advice. Electrical power tools are dan-

gerous when they are used by inexperienced

people.

e) Look after the device carefully. Check

that moving parts are working prop-

erly and move freely. Check for any

parts that are broken or damaged

enough to detrimentally affect the

functioning of the device. Have dam-

aged parts repaired before you use

the device. Many accidents have their origins

in poorly maintained electrical power tools.

f) Keep cutting tools clean and sharp.

Carefully maintained cutting tools with sharp

cutting edges are less likely to jam and are

easier to control.

g) Use the electrical power tool, accesso-

ries, inserted tools etc. in accordance

with these instructions and advice, and

the stipulations drawn up for this par-

ticular type of device. In doing this, take

into account the working conditions

and the task in hand. The use of electrical

power tools for purposes other than those in-

tended can lead to dangerous situations.

J Do not direct the heat ﬂow at persons

J Do not look directly into the opening of the heat

nozzle

DANGER OF BURNS! Do not

touch the hot nozzle. Wear protec-

tive gloves.

Wear protective glasses.

DANGER OF FIRE AND EXPLO-

SION! The appliance develops

very high temperatures.

If the device is not used carefully,

it can give rise to increased risk of

ﬁre or explosion.

J Do not work in the vicinity of easily ignitable

gases or materials.

Heating of plastics, paints, varnishes etc. can

lead to the creation of gases that are hazard-

ous to health. Make sure you always have

adequate ventilation.

J Let the device cool down completely before

you put it into storage. Always place your

heat gun down on its end, with the nozzle

pointing upwards.

J In addition, you should never leave the device

working unattended.

J When taking a break from your work, before

carrying out any tasks on the device itself (e.g.

changing the nozzle) or when you are not

using the device, always pull the mains plug

out of the mains socket.

J Do not direct the device at the same spot for

too long a period.

J Maintain a distance between the jet outlet

nozzle and the workpiece or the surface being

heated. An air blockage could lead to over-

heating of the appliance.

J Pay heed to the direct working area and also

to its surroundings. The heat produced could

reach to inﬂammable articles located out of the

visible area.

J Always keep the device clean, dry and free

of oil or grease.

J Never use the device for a purpose for which it

was not intended.

Operation

Preparing the device for use

CAUTION! When using the device, never

allow the ventilation slots to be covered.

CAUTION! DANGER OF BURNS! Do not

touch the hot nozzle.

Switching on the device:

j Press the ON / OFF switch

into setting “I“

or “II“.

Switching off the device:

j Press the ON / OFF switch

into setting “0“.

Adjusting the air quantity and temperature:

You can use the temperature and air quantity control

to set two diﬀerent blower levels. It is therefore

possible to select the appropriate quantity of air and

temperature in accordance with the intended use:

Setting I 300 l / min 350 °C

Setting II 500 l / min 550 °C

Use as free-standing unit / during

cooling (see Fig. D):

j Always set the device down upright on

a level surface, this will allow

Changing the nozzle

Too much heat causes paints

and plastics to ignite.

CAUTION! Do not inhale the resulting vapours.

Protector nozzle

– for removing paint

and varnish (see Ill. B):

j Place the protector nozzle

on the

outlet tube

j The spatula shape of the nozzle ensures the air

is properly directed. Use a separate spatula for

removing paint or varnish.

Flat nozzle

– for detaching glues,

softening paint (see Ill. C):

j Place the ﬂat nozzle

on the outlet tube

j Do not apply heat for too long a period, as

burnt paint becomes much more diﬃcult to

remove. Many glues can be softened by warm-

ing. Glued connections can then be detached

and excess glue removed.

Reducing nozzle

– for welding plastic:

j Place the reducer nozzle

on the outlet tube

j Use the reducing nozzle

for heat-shrinkable

sleeves and ﬁlm.

Defrosting water pipes:

Notice! It must not be used for thawing PVC pipes.

Notice! It is often very diﬃcult to tell the diﬀerence

between gas pipes and water pipes. If in doubt,

ask a competent person.

Notice! Copper pipes are joined using tin solder

and must not be heated above 200 °C.

Loosening a threaded connection:

j Heating the threaded connection carefully can

often allow the connection to be released.

Removing weeds:

j The heat dries out the weeds and micro-

organisms.

Lighting barbecue charcoal (see Ill. E):

Do not use methylated alcohol.

j Push the barbecue lighting nozzle

on to the

hot air nozzle

j Charcoal ignites in a few minutes.

Wax removal:

j You can remove wax residues from skis / snow-

board or from candle holders. Use the amount

of care appropriate to the product.

Cleaning

Before carrying out work on the

appliance, always remove the plug from the power

socket.

j Keep the air inlet and outlet clean.

j Use a cloth to clean the housing. Use a soft

cloth to clean the housing. Never use petrol,

solvents or cleaning agents as these may

attack the plastic.

Service

J Have your device

repaired only by qualified specialist

personnel using original manufacturer

parts only. This will ensure that your device

remains safe to use.

If the plug or mains

lead needs to be replaced, always

have the replacement carried out by

the manufacturer or its service centre.

for wearing parts or for damage to fragile compo-

The warranty is void in the case of abusive and im-

proper handling, use of force and internal tamper-

Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way

by this warranty.

The warranty period will not be extended by repairs

Prije prvog puštanja u pogon se upoznaj-

te sa funkcijama uređaja i informirajte

se o ispravnom rukovanju sa električnim

Uporaba u skladu sa namjenom

Uređaj je prikladan za uklanjanje slojeva boje, za

zagrijavanje (npr. za vodove) i za oblikovanje i

spajanje plastičnih materijala. Osim toga može biti

3. Sigurnost osoba

c) Spriječite slučajno uključenje. Uvjerite

se u to, da je električni alat isključen,

prije uključenja na struju, podizanja

ili nošenja. Ako pri nošenju uređaja držite

prst na sklopki za UKLJUČENJE / ISKLJUČENJE

ili ako je uređaj uključen, prijeti opasnost od

nezgode.

d) Prije uključenja stroja, uklonite alat

za podešavanje ili vijčani ključ. Alat ili

ključ, koji se nalazi u rotirajućem dijelu stroja,

može prouzročiti ozljede.

e) Izbjegavajte nenaravan polažaj tijela.

Vodite računa o tome da sigurno

stojite na tlu i održavate vlastitu rav-

notežu. Na taj način bolje možete kontrolira-

ti uređaj, posebno u neočekivanim situacijama.

f) Nosite prikladnu odjeću. Ne nosite

široku odjeću ili nakit. Držite kosu,

odjeću i rukavice dalje od pomičnih

dijelova. Opuštena odjeća, nakit ili duga kosa

mogu biti zahvaćeni od pomičnih dijelova.

g) Ako se montira uređaje za usisavanje

i prihvaćanje prašine, uvjerite se u

to da su priključeni i da se pravilno

koriste. Uporaba tih uređaja, smanjuje

ugrožavanje od prašine.

Pažljivo postupanje s

električnim uređajima i

njihovo korištenje

a) Nemojte uređaj preopterećivati.

Koristite onaj električni uređaj koji

odgovara za Vaš rad. S odgovarajućim

električnim uređajem bolje i sigurnije ćete radi-

ti u navedenom području rada.

b) Ne koristite električni uređaj s neisprav-

nim prekidačem. Električni uređaj koji se više

ne može uključiti i isključiti opasan je i treba

ga dati popraviti.

c) Izvucite utikač iz utičnice, prije namje-

štanja uređaja, zamjene dijelova

opreme ili odlaganja uređaja. Ova

sigurnosna mjera spriječava slučajno

pokretanje električnog alata. Ova mje-

ra opreza spriječava nenamjerno pokretanje

uređaja.

d) Čuvajte ne korišteni električni uređaj

tako da nije na dohvatu djeci. Ne

dopustite da uređaj koriste osobe

koje s njim nisu upoznate ili koje nisu

pročitale upute. Električni alati su opasni

kada ih korite osobe bez iskustva.

e) Pažljivo održavajte uređaj. Kontroli-

rajte da li pokretni dijelovi uređaja

besprijekorno funkcioniraju i da ne

zapinju, da dijelovi nisu slomljeni ili

tako oštećeni da je funkcija uređaja

upitna. Molimo da oštećene dijelove

dadete popraviti prije korištenja ure-

đaja. Brojne nesreće imaju uzrok zbog loše

održavanih električnih alata.

f) Alat za rezanje treba biti oštar i čist.

Brižljivo njegovani alat za rezanje sa oštrim

reznim rubovima, manje zaglavi i jednostavniji

je za rukovanje.

g) Rabite električni alat, opremu i ugrad-

ni alat, itd. sukladno ovim uputama i

na način kako je propisano za ovaj

posebni tip uređaja. Pri tome uzmite

u obzir radne uvjete i rad koji se izvodi.

Uporaba električnog alata za drugu osim

predviđene primjene, može uzrokovati opasne

situacije.

OPASNOST OD POŽARA I

EKSPLOZIJE! Uređaj razvija vrlo

visoke temperature.

Nepažljivo ophođenje sa uređajem

povećava opasnost od požara i

eksplozije.

J Ne radite u blizini lako zapaljivih plinova i ma-

terijala, ili u okruženju u kojem postoji opasnost

od eksplozije. Prilikom obrade plastike, boja,

lakova itd. osim toga mogu nastati plinovi opasni

po zdravlje. Uvijek osigurajte dostatnu ventilaciju.

J Ostavite uređaj da se potpuno ohladi, prije

nego što ga uskladištite. U tu svrhu uređaj

postavite okomito, sa nastavkom usmjerenim

prema gore.

J Ne radite sa uređajem bez nadzora.

J Za vrijeme pauza u radu, prije radova na ure-

đaju (npr. zamjena nastavka) i nakon uporabe

uređaja uvijek izvucite mrežni utikač iz utičnice.

J Uređaj samo nakratko usmjerite na jedno mjesto.

J Držite razmak od izlaza nastavka prema

predmetu obrade, odnosno prema površini

koju obrađujete. Zastoj zraka može dovesti do

pregrijavanja uređaja.

J Obratite pažnju na neposredno područje rada

i na okruženje. Visoka temperatura može do

spjeti do zapaljivih dijelova, koji se nalaze

izvan vidokruga.

J Uređaj uvijek mora biti čist, suh i na njemu ne

smije biti ulje ili mast za podmazivanje.

J Uređaj nikada ne koristite suprotno njegovoj

namjeni.

Namještanje količine zraka i temperature:

Pomoću regulatora temperature i količine zraka

možete uključiti dva različita stupnja ispuhivanja

zraka. Možete odabrati odgovarajuću količinu

zraka i temperature, ovisno o primjeni:

Stupanj I 300 l / min 350 °C

Stupanj II 500 l / min 550 °C

Uporaba kao stajaći uređaj / hlađenje

(vidi sliku D):

j Uređaj postavite uspravnog na ravnu površinu

· da biste obje ruke imali slobodne za rad.

· za hlađenje uređaja.

Korištenje nastavaka

Prejako djelovanje visoke

temperature može dovesti do zapaljenja boje i plastike.

OPREZ! Ne udišite isparenja, koja nastaju.

Lopatasti nastavak

j Umetnite lopatasti nastavak

ispušnu cijev

j Lopatasti oblik ovog nastavka služi za ciljani

dotok vrućeg zraka. Za odvajanje sloja boje ili

laka upotrijebiti odvojenu lopaticu.

ka, razmekšavanje boje (vidi sliku C):

j Nataknite površinski nastavak

ispušnu cijev

j Izbjegavajte prejaki utjecaj visoke temperature,

jer izgorjele lakove možete vrlo teško ukloniti.

Brojna ljepila možete razmekšati utjecajem

visoke temperature. Zatim lijepljene spojeve

možete razdvojiti i prekomjerni ljepak ukloniti.

Redukcijski nastavak

– Spajanje

plastike:

j Nataknite redukcijski nastavak

ispušnu cijev

j Koristite redukcijski nastavak

za cijevi i foliju.

Ostali primjeri primjene

Otapanje vodovodnih cijevi:

Napomena! PVC-cijevi ne smiju biti otapane.

Napomena! Sa vanjske strane vodovodne

cijevi često se ne razlikuju od plinovodnih cijevi.

U slučaju dvojbe upitajte stručnjaka.

Napomena! Bakrene cijevi sadrže kositar i ne

smiju biti zagrijavane iznad 200 °C.

Otpuštanje vijčanih spojeva:

j Oprezno zagrijte vijčani spoj pomoću vrućeg

zraka. Po pravilu nakon toga lako možete

odvrnuti vijke.

Uklanjanje korova:

j Vrući zrak isušuje korov zajedno sa klicama.

Paljenje uglja za roštilj (vidi sliku E):

Ne koristite špirit.

j Nataknite sapnicu za roštilj

na ispusnu cijev

j U roku od samo nekoliko minuta zapalite

ugljen za roštilj.

Uklanjanje voska:

j Oslobodite skije / snowboard ili sviječnjak od

voska uz odgovarajući oprez.

Čišćenje

Prije nego što izvodite

radove na uređaju, uvijek izvucite mrežni utikač iz

utičnice.

j Ulaz zraka uvijek morate održavati da

bude čist.

j Za čišćenje kućišta koristite krpu. Niukom

slučaju ne koristite benzin, otapala ili sredstva

agresivna za plastiku.

Servis

J Popravak Vaših

uređaja dozvolite isključivo stručnom

osoblju i to samo sa originalnim rezer-

vnim dijelovima. Na taj način održavate

sigurnost Vašeg stroja.

Izmjenu utikača

ili mrežne veze, dozvolite isključivo

proizvođaču stroja ili njegovoj servi-

snoj službi. Na taj način održavate sigurnost

Jamstveni list
