Product Description and Intended Use

The 3M™ Enrichment Pouch is a convenient alternative to the traditional preparation and sterilization of enrichment media.

The 3M Enrichment Pouch prelled with 225 mL of media consists of a standalone, heavyweight, puncture-resistant pouch

which can be used for the enrichment of microorganisms from food and environmental samples.

• Always follow standard good laboratory safety practices GLP

, including proper containment procedures, wearing

appropriate personal protective equipment while handling materials and test samples.

• Always wear gloves.

• Use a new pipette tip for each sample transfer.

• Always use care when pipetting or transferring samples.

• Always store the 3M Enrichment pouch as indicated on the package and/or the product instructions.

• Always use full contents of pouch.

• Always use the 3M Enrichment Pouches by the expiration date.

• Use the 3M Enrichment Pouches for food, feed, and food process environmental sample testing that have been

validated either by the user or by a third party.

• Always follow the proper enrichment scheme (time, temperature, and dilution).

To reduce the risks associated with exposure to chemicals and biohazards (including airborne particles):

• Perform pathogen testing in a properly equipped laboratory under the control of trained personnel.

• Avoid direct contact with the contents of the 3M Enrichment Pouch medium.

• Wear appropriate protective apparel as some of the components may be considered allergenic and irritants to some

individuals.

• If inhaled, remove person to fresh air. If signs/symptoms, develops get medical attention.

• Always follow standard good laboratory practices, including proper containment procedures, wearing appropriate

protective apparel and eye protection while handling testing materials and test samples

• The 3M Enrichment Pouch prelled with media has not been evaluated with all possible food products, food processes

and food processing environments, testing protocols or with all possible strains of bacteria.

• 3M has not validated this product using composite samples.

Storage

Upon receipt, store unopened 3M Enrichment Pouches at the indicated temperatures (See Table 1).

Disposal

After use, 3M Enrichment Pouches may contain microorganisms that could be a potential biohazard. Follow current

industry standards or local regulations for disposal.

Instructions for Use

Follow all instructions carefully. Failure to do so may lead to inaccurate results.

Wear appropriate protective apparel and follow standard good laboratory practices GLP

1. Stand the 3M Enrichment Pouch on at surface.

2. Put on gloves.

3. Tear the 3M Enrichment Pouch open.

4. Pull red tabs, so the 3M Enrichment Pouch stays open.

5. Aseptically add sample to the 3M Enrichment Pouch.

6. The 3M Enrichment Pouch can be paddle blended utilizing a paddle style blender to homogenize the contents.

7. Fold down the 3M Enrichment Pouch to close.

8. Fold ends of blue wires inward.

9. Follow user established procedures.

La 3M™ Poche d'enrichissement constitue une alternative pratique à la préparation et à la stérilisation traditionnelles

des milieux d'enrichissement. La 3M Poche d'enrichissement pré-remplie avec 225ml de milieu est composée d'une

poche autonome, lourde, résistante aux perforations, qui peut être utilisée pour l'enrichissement de micro-organismes

Stockage

2. Mettre des gants.

3. Déchirer pour ouvrir la 3M Poche d'enrichissement.

4. Tirer les languettes rouges, an que la 3M Poche d'enrichissement reste ouverte.

5. Ajouter l'échantillon dans la 3M Poche d'enrichissement de manière aseptique.

6. La 3M Poche d'enrichissement peut être mélangée à l'aide d'un mélangeur à palettes an d'homogénéiser le

contenu.

7. Rabattre la 3M Poche d'enrichissement pour la fermer.

8. Plier les extrémités des bandes bleues vers l'intérieur.

9. Respecter les procédures établies d'utilisation.

Lagerung

3. Reißen Sie den 3M Anreicherungsbeutel auf.

4. Ziehen Sie an den roten Laschen, damit der 3M Anreicherungsbeutel oen bleibt.

5. Geben Sie die Probe unter keimfreien Bedingungen in den 3M Anreicherungsbeutel.

6. Der Inhalt des 3M Anreicherungsbeutels kann mithilfe von Paddeln gemischt werden. Dabei wird der Inhalt mit

einem schaufelförmigen Mischer homogenisiert.

7. Falten Sie den 3M Anreicherungsbeutel nach unten, um ihn zu schließen.

8. Falten Sie die Enden der blauen Drähte nach innen.

9. Befolgen Sie die vom Anwender festgelegten Verfahren.

W ADVERTENCIA

No emplee las Bolsas de enriquecimiento 3M para el diagnóstico de afecciones en seres humanos ni animales.

Para reducir los riesgos asociados con un resultado falso negativo que provoque la diseminación de productos

contaminados:

• Proceda siempre respetando las buenas prácticas de seguridad de laboratorio estándar (GLP

), incluidos los

procedimientos de contención correctos y el uso de la ropa y las gafas de protección adecuadas durante la

manipulación de materiales y muestras de prueba.

• Siempre use guantes.

• Use una punta de pipeta nueva para cada transferencia de muestra.

• Proceda siempre con cuidado al pipetear o transferir muestras.

• Guarde siempre la Bolsa de Enriquecimiento 3M como se indica en el envase o en las instrucciones del producto.

• Siempre use todo el contenido de la bolsa.

• Use siempre las Bolsas de enriquecimiento 3M antes de su fecha de vencimiento.

• Use las Bolsas de enriquecimiento 3M para las pruebas con muestras de alimentos, muestras de alimentos para

animales y muestras ambientales del procesamiento de alimentos que hayan sido validadas por el usuario o por

terceros.

• Respete siempre el esquema apropiado de enriquecimiento (tiempo, temperatura y dilución).

irritantes para algunos individuos.

• Si se inhala, traslade a la persona a un lugar ventilado. Si se presentan signos o síntomas, busque atención médica.

• Proceda siempre respetando las buenas prácticas de seguridad de laboratorio estándar, incluidos los procedimientos

de contención correctos y el uso de la ropa y las gafas de protección adecuadas durante la manipulación de

materiales y muestras de prueba

Para reducir los riesgos asociados con la contaminación ambiental:

• Proceda de acuerdo con los estándares de la industria y la normativa local actuales para el desecho de desperdicios

contaminados.

• Deseche los medios de enriquecimiento conforme a todas las normativas gubernamentales vigentes y a todos los

procedimientos de laboratorio correspondientes.

Almacenamiento

Al recibir las Bolsas de enriquecimiento 3M, almacénelas sin abrir en el rango de temperaturas indicado (vea la Tabla 1).

Desecho

Es posible que las Bolsas de enriquecimiento 3M, una vez utilizadas, contengan microorganismos que puedan

representar un riesgo biológico. Siga los estándares industriales actuales o las regulaciones locales para el desecho de

materiales.

Instrucciones de Uso

Siga todas las instrucciones atentamente. De lo contrario, los resultados obtenidos podrían llegar a ser incorrectos.

Use la ropa de protección adecuada y respete las buenas prácticas de laboratorio (GLP

) estándar.

1. Coloque la Bolsa de enriquecimiento 3M en forma vertical sobre una supercie plana.

2. Colóquese guantes.

3. Rompa la Bolsa de enriquecimiento 3M para abrirla.

4. Tire de las tiras rojas para que la Bolsa de enriquecimiento 3M se mantenga abierta.

5. De manera aséptica, añada la muestra a la Bolsa de enriquecimiento 3M.

6. La Bolsa de enriquecimiento 3M puede colocarse en un mezclador de paletas que use un mezclador estilo paleta

para homogeneizar el contenido.

7. Pliegue la Bolsa de enriquecimiento 3M hacia abajo para cerrarla.

8. Doble los extremos de las cintas azules hacia adentro.

9. Siga los procedimientos establecidos para el usuario.
