with the product before using it for the ﬁrst time.

Carefully read the following original operating in-

structions and safety notices. Initial operation of this

tool must be performed by trained personnel.

Intended use

The Ultimate Speed ULG 12 A2 is a car charger with

impulse trickle charge (Chip Software) suitable for

charging and trickle charging the following 6 V or

12 V rechargeable lead batteries with electrolyte

solution, AGM batteries, lead-acid batteries, deep

cycle (marine batteries), or gel batteries:

• For automotive and motorcycle batteries with

12 V / 6 V and 8–180 Ah capacity

You can also regenerate drained batteries (depend-

ing on battery type). The car charger features a

protective circuit against sparking and overheating.

Any improper or incorrect use will void the warranty.

The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by

improper use. The device is not intended for com-

mercial use.

Note: The car charger is not suitable for charging

electric vehicles with built-in rechargeable battery.

Do not leave toddlers or children

unsupervised with the car charger!

Children are not yet able to assess

potential dangers in handling

electric appliances. Always su-

pervise children to ensure they

do not play with the tool.

This device may be used by chil-

dren age 8 years and up, as well

as by persons with reduced phys-

ical, sensory or mental capacities,

or lacking experience and / or

knowledge, so long as they are

supervised or instructed in the s

use of the device and understand

the associated risks. Children

should not be allowed to play

with the device. Cleaning and

user maintenance should not be

performed by children without

supervision.

XPLOSION HAZARD!

Protect yourself from a

highly explosive hydrogen-oxy-

gen reaction! The battery may

emit gaseous hydrogen during

charging and trickle charging.

Oxyhydrogen is an explosive

mix of gaseous hydrogen and

oxygen. Contact with open ﬁre

(ﬂames, embers or sparks) will

cause the so-called oxyhydrogen

reaction! Perform charging and

trickle charging in a well venti-

lated room protected from the

weather. Be sure there is no open

ﬁre (ﬂames, embers or spark) dur-

ing charging and maintenance

charging!

DANGER OF EXPLOSION

AND FIRE HAZARD! Ensure

that there is no possibility of igni-

tion of explosive or ﬂammable

materials, such as petrol or sol-

vents, while using the charger!

EXPLOSIVE GASSES! Avoid

Ensure adequate ventilation whilst

charging.

Place the battery on a well venti-

lated surface whilst charging. Ig-

noring this advice may damage

the device.

Use acid-proof goggles, clothing

and gloves! If eyes or skin has

come into contact with sulphuric

acid, rinse the aﬀected body re-

gion oﬀ with a plenty of clean

water and consult a doctor

Avoid electric short-circuits when

connecting the car charger to the

battery. Only connect the nega-

tive terminal connection cable to

the negative battery terminal or

the car body. Only connect the

positive terminal connection cable

Before connecting to the mains,

verify the mains power has the

required 230 V∼ 50 Hz, neutral

lead, a 16 A fuse and an ELCB

switch (earth leakage circuit

breaker)! Ignoring this advice

may damage the device.

Do not place the charger close to

ﬁre, heat and prolonged temper-

atures over 50 °C! The output

power of the car charger automati-

cally drops In higher temperatures.

Product properties

This device is designed to charge a variety of SLA

batteries (sealed lead-acid batteries) primarily used

in cars, motorcycles and some other vehicles. These

can be e.g. WET- (with liquid electrolyte), GEL- (with

geliﬁed electrolyte) or AGM batteries (with electrolyte

absorbent glass mat). The special design of the device

(also referred to as “three-level charging strategy“)

allows the battery to be charged to nearly 100 %

its capacity. The charger can further be connected

to the battery for extended periods to keep it in op-

timal condition.

Connecting

Before charging and trickle charging a battery

permanently connected to the vehicle, ﬁrst dis-

connect the battery‘s negative terminal connec-

tion cable (black) from the negative battery

terminal. The negative battery terminal is typi-

cally connected to the car body.

Then disconnect the vehicle‘s positive terminal

connection cable (red) from the positive battery

terminal.

Only then connect the battery charger‘s “+“

crocodile clamp (red)

to the “+“ battery

terminal.

Connect the “-“ crocodile clamp (black)

the “–“ battery terminal. Plug the car charger‘s

mains cable

into the mains socket.

Note: If the connector clamps are correctly conn

ected,

the display will show the voltage and “connected“

will light up. If the poles are reversed, the display

will read 0.0 and “connected“ will not light up.

Disconnecting

Disconnect the device from the mains.

Remove the “–“ crocodile clamp (black)

from

the “–“ battery terminal.

Remove the “+“ crocodile clamp (red)

from

the “+“ battery terminal.

Reconnect the vehicle‘s positive connection cable

to the positive battery terminal.

econnect the vehicle‘s negative connection cab

to the negative battery terminal.

Selecting the charging mode

You can charge a variety of batteries at diﬀerent

ambient temperatures using diﬀerent charging mo

des.

Compared to conventional car chargers, this device

features a special function for reusing a drained bat-

tery / rechargeable battery. You can recharge a

completely drained battery / rechargeable battery.

The safe charging process protects against faulty co

nection and short-circuits. The integrated electronics

do not switch the car charger on immediately after

being connected, but only after selecting a charging

mode.

If the connector clamps connected to the battery

and the device is connected to power, the digital

display

will read “Connected“. After selecting a

charging mode, the display will read “Charging“.

Once charging is complete, the display will read

“Charged“.

A continuously lit display with the battery not yet fully

charged indicate a fault.

Operation

In this event, verify the connection clamps

are correctly connected to the battery and

the correct battery type is selected. If the display

is still continuously lit, the battery may be de-

fective.

Digital Display button

: Use to switch be-

tween the digital display of voltage and charging

progress in percent (Battery %). Use this button to

switch between the following displays:

– Battery %: indicates the charging progress for

the connected battery in percent.

– Voltage: indicates the voltage of the connected

battery.

– Alternator %: output power in percent

Battery Type button

: Use this button to set

the battery type to be charged. You can choose from

battery types. The battery type must absolutely be

correctly selected before starting the charging pro-

cess:

–

12 V Regular: these batteries (lead-acid batteries

)

are typically used in cars, lorries and motorcycles.

They have vent caps and are often labelled

“low-maintenance“ or “maintenance-free“. This

battery type is designed to quickly transfer en-

ergy (e.g. starting an engine). “Regular“ batter-

ies should not be used for “Deep Cycle“

applications.

– 12 V Deep Cycle: These batteries are commonly

also labelled “Deep Cycle“ or “Marine“. This

type of battery is typically larger than other

battery types. It delivers less short-term energy

but transmit energy longer. These batteries with-

stand numerous discharge cycles.

– 12 V AGM / Gel: The AGM battery type is typi-

cally a good Deep Cycle battery. They provide

the best “life“ when recharged before being

drained more than 50 %. When fully discharged

they withstand about 300 charging cycles. The

GEL battery type is similar to AGM. The charg-

ing voltage is lower than for other lead-acid

batteries. Using the wrong charger for a Gel

battery will result in a reduction in power or a

shorter life.

– 6 V Regular: Select this mode for conventional

6 V batteries.

Charge Start button

: Use this button to switch

between the following options

– Fast Charge: charges quickly (recommended in

low outdoor temperatures / winter)

– Normal Charge: normal charging process (nor-

mal speed)

Start: brieﬂy delivers 75 ampere to bridge a w

eak

or drained battery to jump start an engine

Attention: This mode can only be exited by unp

lug-

ging the mains plug

Jump starting

Always make all the connections

as described and in the correct order. The vehicle‘s

electronics may otherwise be damaged.

Proceed against the speciﬁcations at your own risk

and responsibility.

Attention: This function is not suitable for batteries

below 45 Ah. This function could damage batteries

below 45 Ah.

Diesel vehicles and large-volume engines in part re-

quire amperages above 75 A for jump starting.

Note: The charger features an analysis program

to protect the battery from damage (e.g. sulphation

or rapid voltage drops), particularly during jump

starting. The device will not switch on the jump

starter with severely drained or heavily stressed bat-

teries to protect the battery. During this process the

battery is already being charged with lower currents

(Charging lights up). The display continues to read

“0“. In this event the jump start function cannot be

used. This will protect the battery from damage.

You should then ﬁrst charge the battery. You may

also use the “Fast Charge“ or “Normal Charge“

function for this purpose.

Connect the car charger‘s mains cable

power.

Connect the red connector clamp

to the

positive battery terminal. (The positive terminal

is marked with a “+“ symbol and a red mark.)

Connect the black connector clamp

to the

negative battery terminal. (The negative terminal

is marked with a “-“ symbol and a black mark.)

If the connector clamps are connected correctly,

the car charger will automatically select the cor-

rect battery type. You may review it in the “Bat-

tery Type“ option ﬁeld and if necessary change

it by pressing the battery type button

Now select the “Start“ function using the Charge

Start button

. The cart charger will now ana-

lyse the battery‘s charge level. The display will

now read “0“.

Start the vehicle‘s ignition. The display will now

show a 5 second countdown (of which 2 second

priming / analysis function and 3 second jump

start function at 75 A) when needing the car

charger for jump starting (previously analysed

by the car charger). During this countdown the

car charger will brieﬂy deliver 75 A to bridge

the battery to start the car. This is followed by

a 180 second pause to protect the battery. The

cycle will now restart (2 second priming / anal-

ysis function and 3 second jump starting at

75 A / 180 second pause).

To disconnect the device, ﬁrst remove the termi-

nal clamps (

) and unplug the power

cord

Note: If the battery is completely drained, the 75 A

will not be suﬃcient to start all engines (e.g. diesel

vehicles).

In this case, please select the “Fast Charge“

option using the Charge Start button

and

charge the battery 60 % (preheating of diesel

engines draws power from the battery. This re-

quires 60 % after preheating).

You can monitor the charging process in the display

by selecting the “Battery %“ option using the digital

display button

Once 60 % has been reached, jump start again.

Attention: Exit the mode by unplugging the

mains cable

Replacing the fuse

The car charger fuse can be damaged by e.g. hard-

ware failure, overload, etc.

Unplug the power cord

before replacing

the fuse.

Remove the fuse

cover by slightly pressing

in the side.

Unscrew the fuse

with a ﬁtting open-end

spanner and secure the new fuse.

Then screw it tight and replace the cover

device. Clean the device‘s metal and plastic with

the device has been damaged or improperly used

or maintained. Strictly observe only the instructions

within the original operating instructions for proper

product use. Absolutely avoid any applications and

actions the original operating instructions advise

against.

This product is intended for private, non-commercial

use only. Any incorrect or improper use of the device,

use of force and changes not performed by our au-

thorized service branch will void the warranty.

nerea în funcţiune a acestui produs este permisă

numai persoanelor instruite.

Utilizare conform destinaţiei

Ultimate Speed ULG 12 A2 este un încărcător auto

cu încărcare intermitentă prin impuls (Chip-Software),

care este recomandat pentru încărcarea și încărcarea

intermitentă a următoarelor baterii de 6 V- sau 12 V

u plumb (baterii) cu soluţie electrolitică, baterii AG

baterii cu plumb acid, Deep Cycle (baterii boost)

sau alte tipuri de baterii cu gel:

• Pentru baterii auto și moto cu o capacitate de

12 V / 6 V și 8–180 Ah

În plus poate regenera bateriile descărcate (în funcţi

de tipul bateriei). Încărcătorul auto are un întreru-

pător de siguranţă împotriva producerii scânteilor și

a supraîncălzirii. Fiecare utilizare incorectă și neco-

respunzătoare duce la pierderea garanţiei. Pentru

daunele cauzate prin utilizarea neconformă cu

destinaţia, producătorul nu preia nicio răspundere.

Acest aparat nu este destinat utilizării comerciale.

tovehicul că autovehiculul nu este

în funcţiune! Opriţi autoturismul

și duceţi-l în poziţia de parcare

cu frâna de mână trasă (de ex.

(de ex. barcă electrică)!

conductei de benzină de pe ca-

roserie.

Conectaţi apoi aparatul după

aceea la reţeaua de alimentare.

Deconectaţi aparatul după încăr-

care de la reţeaua de alimentare.

Deconectaţi imediat clema de

conectare de pe caroserie. Înde-

părtaţi apoi clema de conectare

de pe baterie.

terminarea procesului de încăr-

care și menţinere, în cazul unei

baterii montate permanent în au-

tovehicul, deconectaţi mai întâi

cablul de conectare de la polul

minus (negru) al încărcătorului

auto de la polul minus al bateriei.

Nu lăsaţi sugarii și copii neasu-

pravegheaţi în preajma aparatu-

lui!

Copii nu pot estima pericolele

posibile ce pot apărea din utili-

zarea aparatelor electrice. Copiii

trebuie supravegheaţi pentru a

nu se juca cu dispozitivul.

Acest aparat poate ﬁ utilizat

de copii de peste 8 ani, precum

şi de persoanele cu capacitate

ﬁzică, senzorială sau mintală

redusă sau lipsă de experienţă

şi / sau cunoştinţe, doar dacă sunt

supravegheaţi sau au fost instruiţi

referitor la utilizarea sigură a

aparatului şi pericolele ce pot

rezulta din acest lucru. Copiii nu

au voie să se joace cu aparatul.

Curăţarea și mentenanţa nu tre-

buie realizate de copii fără su-

praveghere.

ZIE! Protejaţi-vă de o

reacţie explozivă a gazelor!

Hidrogenul sub formă de gaz

poate ieși din baterie la încărca-

rea și menţinerea procesului de

încărcare. Oxihidrogenul este un

amestec exploziv din hidrogen

gazos și oxigen. În cazul contac-

tului cu focul deschis (ﬂacără,

cărbuni sau scântei) are loc o

reacţie de detonare! Efectuaţi

procesul de încărcare și menţinere

într-un spaţiu ferit de intemperii și

bine aerisit. Asiguraţi-vă că nu

există foc (ﬂacără, cărbuni sau

scântei) la încărcare sau la men-

ţinerea încărcări!

PERICOL DE EXPLOZIE ȘI

INCENDIU! Asiguraţi-vă că

materialele explozive sau inﬂa-

mabile ca de ex. benzina sau

soluţii inﬂamabile să nu se poată

aprindă la utilizarea încărcătoru-

lui!

GAZE EXPLOZIVE! Evitaţi

ﬂăcările și scânteile!

Asiguraţi o aerisire suﬁcientă în

timpul încărcării.

Așezaţi bateria pe o suprafaţă

bine aerisită în timpul procesului

de încărcare. În caz contrar

aparatul se poate deteriora.

ZIE! Asiguraţi-vă că

cablul de conectare la polul plus

nu are contact cu conducta de

alimentare cu combustibil (con-

ducta de benzină)!

PERICOL DE ARSURĂ! Prote-

jaţi-vă ochii și pielea de arsurile

cauzate de acizi (acid sulfuric)

la contactul cu bateria!

Folosiţi: ochelari de protecţie re-

zistenţi la acizi, îmbrăcăminte și

mănuși de protecţie! tunci când

ochii sau pielea intră în contact

cu acidul sulfuric, clătiţi zona

afectată cu multă apă curată și

contactaţi imediat un medic!

Evitaţi un scurtcircuit în timpul

conectării la baterie a aparatului

de încărcat. Conectaţi cablul de

conectare la polul minus numai

la polul minus al bateriei respec-

tiv la caroserie. Conectaţi cablul

de conectare la polul plus numai

la polul plus al bateriei!

Înainte de conectarea la reţea,

asiguraţi-vă că curentul de reţea

deţine 230 V∼ 50 Hz, un con-

ductor neutru legat la împămân-

tare, o siguranţă de 16 A și un

întrerupător de protecţie (întreru-

pător de protecţie contra curen-

tului eronat)! În caz contrar

aparatul se poate deteriora.

Nu expuneţi aparatul de încărcat

focului, căldurii și inﬂuenţelor ter-

mice cu o temperatură ridicată

de peste 50 °C! În cazul tempe-

raturilor ridicate puterea de ieșire

a încărcătorului auto scade au-

tomat.

Folosiţi încărcătorul auto doar

cu piesele originale livrate!

Nu acoperiţi încărcătorul auto

cu obiecte! În caz contrar apa-

ratul se poate deteriora.

Protejaţi suprafeţele de contact

electric ale bateriei contra unui

scurt circuit!

Folosiţi încărcătorul auto doar

pentru încărcarea și conservarea

sarcinii bateriilor de plumb de

6V / 12V! În caz contrar se pot

produce daune materiale.

Nu utilizaţi încărcătorul auto

pentru încărcarea și conservarea

bateriilor care nu sunt reîncărca-

bile. În caz contrar se pot produce

daune materiale.

Nu folosiţi încărcătorul auto pen-

tru procesul de încărcare și con-

servare a unei baterii deteriorate

sau îngheţate! În caz contrar se

pot produce daune materiale.

Informaţi-vă înainte de conectarea

încărcătorului cu privire la întreţi-

nerea bateriei conform instrucţiu-

nilor originale de utilizare! În caz

contrar există pericolul de rănire

și / sau pericolul ca aparatul să

ﬁe deteriorat.

Informaţi-vă înainte de conecta-

rea încărcătorului la o baterie

care este conectată la un vehicul

referitor la menţinerea siguranţei

electrice și întreţinere pe baza

instrucţiunilor originale de întreţi-

nere ale autovehiculului! În caz

contrar apare pericolul de rănire

și / sau pericolul de a apărea

daunele materiale.

Deconectaţi încărcătorul auto de

la curent în cazul neutilizării pentru

protejarea mediului înconjurător!

Gândiţi-vă că consumă curent în

timpul modului standby.

Trebuie să ﬁţi întotdeauna atent

şi să aveţi tot timpul grijă la ceea

ce faceţi. Procedaţi raţionat și nu

puneţi încărcătorul în funcţiune

dacă nu sunteţi concentrat sau

dacă nu vă simţiţi bine.

Utilizare

Scoateţi ștecherul din priză înainte de a efectua

operaţiuni asupra încărcătorului.

Caracteristicile produsului

Acest produs este destinat pentru încărcarea unei

varietăţi de baterii SLA (baterii etanșe cu acid-plumb)

care pot ﬁ folosite pentru autoturisme, motociclete și

alte autovehicule. Acestea pot ﬁ de ex. baterii WET

(cu electrolit lichid), GEL (cu electrolit sub formă de

gel) sau AGM (cu sticlă mată absorbantă cu elec-

trolit). O concepere specială a aparatului (denumită

și ”strategia pe trei niveluri”) permite o reîncărcare

a baterie cu până la aproximativ 100 % din capa-

citatea ei. În plus se poate realiza o conexiune pe

termen lung a bateriei cu un încărcător auto pentru

a o menţine într-o stare cât mai optimă.

Conectarea

În cazul unei baterii montate permanent deco-

nectaţi înainte de procesul de încărcare și con-

servare cablul de conexiune al polului minus

(negru) al autovehiculului de la polul minus al

bateriei. Polul minus al bateriei este de regulă

conectat cu caroseria autovehiculului.

Deconectaţi apoi cablul de conexiune al polului

plus (roșu) al autovehiculului de la polul plus al

bateriei.

Conectaţi apoi clema de conexiune cu contact

rapid a polului plus „+“- (roșu)

a încărcăto-

rului auto de polul plus „+“al bateriei.

Conectaţi clema de conectare a contactului

rapid al polului „–“ (negru)

la polul „–“ al

bateriei. Conectaţi cablul de reţea

al încăr-

cătorului auto la priză.

Indicaţie: Dacă clemele de conexiune cu conectate

corect, ecranul indică tensiunea și aﬁșajul ”conectat”

se aprinde. În cazul confundării polilor ecranul in-

dică 0.0 și aﬁșajul ”conectat” nu se aprinde.

Deconectare

Deconectaţi aparatul de la curentul de reţea.

Desfaceţi clema de conexiune a contactului ra-

pid al polului „–“ (negru)

de la polul „–“

al bateriei.
