Introduction

Before assembling and using the device for the ﬁrst

time, take time to familiarise yourself with the product

ﬁrst. Read the following assembly instructions and

safety instructions carefully. Only use the product as described

and for the designated areas of application. Please keep these

instructions in a safe place. If you hand this product on to a third

party, you must also pass on all documents relating to the product.

Proper Use

This appliance is designed to weigh out and tare quantities of

food. The digital kitchen scale measures the weight of non-

aggressive, non-corrosive and non-abrasive liquids or solids. It

is not intended for weighing medication or prohibited materials.

Any use other than that described above or any modiﬁcation

of the product is not permissible and will result in damage.

Misuse may also result in other life-threatening risks and injury.

The product is for private use only and is not intended for

medical or commercial use.

Safety Instructions

Protect the product from electrostatic charge / discharge.

This could hinder the internal data exchange, which caus-

es errors in the LCD readout.

Check the product for damage before use. Never use a

damaged product.

Never open the housing of the product.

This can result in injury and damage to the product. Repairs

must be carried out by an electrician only.

Do not allow anyone inexperienced to use the product.

Make sure that anyone intending to use the product has

read the operating manual and is capable of operating

the product safely.

Place the product on a solid, horizontal and ﬂat surface.

Magnetic ﬁelds may cause the product not to function

properly. If this happens, brieﬂy remove the batteries from

the product and re-insert them.

FOOD-SAFE! The taste and smell of your

food are not detrimentally aﬀected by this

product.

Safety Instructions for Batteries

Remove the battery from the device if they are not going

to be used for a prolonged period.

CAUTION! DANGER OF EXPLOSION!

The batteries must never be recharged!

When inserting the battery, ensure the correct polarity!

This is shown in the battery compartment.

If necessary, clean the batteries and device contacts before

inserting the batteries.

Remove spent batteries immediately from the device. There

is an increased danger of leaks!

Batteries must not be disposed of in the normal domestic

waste!

Every consumer is legally obliged to dispose of batteries

in the proper manner!

Keep batteries away from children; do not throw them in

the ﬁre, short-circuit them or take them apart.

If the above instructions are not complied with, the batteries

may discharge themselves beyond their end voltage. There

is then a danger of leaking. If the batteries have leaked

inside your device, you should remove them immediately

in order to prevent damage to the device!

Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes.

Any parts of the body coming into contact with battery

acid should be rinsed oﬀ with copious amounts of water

and / or a doctor contacted if necessary!

Preparing the product for use

Remove the insulation strip from the battery compartment

Replacing the batteries (Fig. B)

Open the battery compartment

on the back of the scale.

Remove the used batteries, if present.

Insert 4 x 1.5 V AAA batteries into the battery compart-

ment

Note: Make sure you ﬁt the batteries the right way round

(polarity). The correct polarity is shown inside the battery

compartment

Setting the time (Fig. A)

After you have inserted the batteries, the scale switches auto-

matically into the time mode

. As soon as the scale has

switched into the time mode

, the minute value ﬂashes in

the LC display

. In this event, skip the next to two steps.

If the scale is in the weighing mode, press and keep pressed

the MODE button

for 3 seconds to switch into the time

mode

Press and keep pressed the TARE button

to set the time.

Press the MODE button

to set the desired minute value.

Press and keep pressed the MODE button

to speed up

the value-setting process.

Press the TARE button

to conﬁrm your setting. Then the

hour value ﬂashes.

Note: If you do not press another button within 20 seconds,

the set value stops to ﬂash and the time is set.

Weighing (Fig. A)

If the scale is in the time mode

, press the MODE button

once to switch into the weighing mode.

Note: Shortly before the scale switches into the weighing

mode, the scale shows “HELO” in the display for 1–2 sec-

onds.

1. Place the kitchen scale on a solid, ﬂat surface.

2. Press the MODE button

once to change the weight

3. Place the substance to be weighed on the scale. The

weight of the substance being weighed is shown in the

LC display

Incremental weighing (Fig. A)

1. Follow steps 1 to 3 of the section on “Weighing” and

press the TARE button

. The LC display

shows 0

and the TARE symbol

appears.

2. Add another substance to be weighed to the scale. The

LC display

shows the weight of the newly added sub-

stance.

3. If you remove the added substance from the scale, the

LC display

shows 0.

4. If you remove all of the substances to be weighed from

the scale, the LC display shows a negative value

5. Press the TARE button

once and the TARE symbol

ceases to be displayed.

6. Activate the TARE function only within a range of 3–1,000 g.

If there is no substance to be weighed on the scale and if 60

seconds elapses without a button being pressed or no movement

on the scale plate is noted, the scale switches automatically

into the time mode

= The scale is overloaded. A signal tone is sounding.

= Remove the overload.

= Displays out2, then switches to the clock

display

= The scale was loaded with more than 1,000 g before

you switched into weighing mode.

= Remove the overload within 10 seconds. The display

returns to the weighing mode within ﬁve seconds.

= The batteries are nearly ﬂat.

= Replace the batteries (see section “Replacing the batteries“).

= The batteries are too weak to weigh. You cannot operate

the scale.

= Replace the batteries (see section “Replacing the batteries”).

Cleaning and Maintenance

Do not use chemical cleaners, scouring agents or sharp

objects for cleaning. These can damage the product.

Never immerse the product in water or other liquids. This

can damage the product.

Clean the product with a slightly dampened, ﬂuﬀ-free

cloth. To remove more stubborn dirt, you can also damp-

en the cloth with a weak soap solution.

incorrect disposal of the batteries!

Batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste.

Digitalna kuhinjska vaga

Uvod

Upoznajte se sa uređajem, prije prvog stavljanja u

pogon. Za to pomno pročitajte slijedeće upute za

postavljanje, korištenje i sigurnost. Rabite uređaj

isključivo sukladno opisu i za navedena područja primjene.

Dobro sačuvajte ove upute za uporabu. U slučaju prosljeđivanja

uređaja trećim osobama, predajte također svu pripadajuću

dokumentaciju.

Propisana namjena

Ovaj uređaj je namijenjen za vaganje i zbrojno vaganje za

kućanstvo uobičajenih količina živežnih namirnica. Digitalna

kuhinjska vaga služi vaganju tekućina koje nisu agresivne,

koje ne nagrizaju i koje nisu abrazivne, te vaganju krutih tvari.

Ona nije predviđena za vaganje ljekova ili nedozvoljenih

materijala. Ona služi također za pokazivanje temperature i vre-

mena i opremljena je s kratkovremenskim mjeračem i funkcijom

za alarm. Nije dozvoljeno upotrebljavati uređaj za nešto drugo,

što nije prije navedeno ili raditi izmjene na proizvodu, jer bi to

moglo oštetiti proizvod. Osim toga moglo bi doći do situacija

Otvorite poklopac baterijskog kućišta

na poleđini vage.

Izvucite eventualno istrošene baterije.

Umetnite 4 baterije tipa 1,5 V AAA u baterijsko

kućište

Uputa: Pri tome vodite računa o ispravnoj polarizaciji.

Zatvorite baterijsko kućište

Namještanje vremena (prik. A)

Nakon što ste umetnuli baterije, vaga automatski prebacuje u

modus vremena

. Čim se nalazi u modusu vremena

pokazivanje minuta žmiga na LC pokazivaču

. U tom slučaju

preskočite prva dva radna koraka.

Ako se vaga nalazi u modusu vaganja, pritisnite tipku

MODE

i držite je 3 sekunde pritisnutom, kako bi

dospjeli u modus vremena

jednom tipku TARE

2. Dodajte dodatnu živežnu namirnicu na vagu. LC pokazi-
