usage and disposal. Before using the product, please

familiarise yourself with all operating and safety

instructions. Use the product only as described and

Intended use

This appliance is intended exclusively for weighing

small quantities. This appliance is intended solely

for use in private households. It is not suitable for

commercial use!

► Protect the scales from impacts,

moisture, dust, chemicals, extremes

of temperature and keep them

away from heat sources (ovens,

radiators).

► Do not press the buttons with

excessive force or sharp objects.

HANDLING BATTERIES

HAZARDS CAUSED BY

IMPROPER USE!

► Do not throw the batteries into the

ﬁre.

► Do not short-circuit the batteries.

► Do not attempt to recharge the

batteries.

► Check the condition of the batteries

at regular intervals. Leaking battery

acid can cause permanent damage

to the appliance. Special care

should be taken when handling

damaged or leaking batteries. Risk

of acid burns! Wear protective

gloves.

► Store batteries out of the reach

of children. If a battery is

swallowed, seek medical attention

IMMEDIATELY.

► If you do not intend to use the

appliance for a long time, remove

the batteries.

Operation

♦ Open the lid of the battery compartment 

and insert two 1.5 V AAA/LR03 batteries.

Ensure that the battery has the correct polarity.

♦ Close the battery compartment .

"0.0 g" appears on the display . The

appliance is now ready for use.

♦ To change the units, press the

∑

/UNIT  button

until "0.000 oz" appears on the display .

Using the appliance

Simple measurement

♦ Switch the appliance on using the ON/TARE

button.

♦ Place the spoon  with the contents to be

weighed on a level surface and hold the rear

end ﬁrmly to prevent the appliance from tipping.

or

♦ Hold the appliance horizontally in your hand

and keep it as still as possible.

♦ To turn the appliance oﬀ, press and hold the

ON/TARE  button until the display  goes

out.

or

♦ Wait for approx. 60 seconds. The appliance

switches itself oﬀ automatically.

Totalising function

You can add individual measurements (max. 300 g

per measurement) together.

♦ Press the ON/TARE  button and carry out the

ﬁrst measurement.

♦ Press the

∑

/UNIT button  button. "

weight of the material on the scale appear on

the display .

♦

Remove the material from the spoon  and

add the next portion of material to be weighed.

The weight of the new material is now added to

the previous weight on the display  and the

total weight is shown.

♦ You can repeat this procedure until you have

reached 3000 g in total weight. If 3000 g is

exceeded, the display  shows "

".

NOTE

► You cannot use the TARE function while you

are adding weights!

TARE function/measuring in a container

♦ If you want to weigh food in another container,

place the container in the spoon  ﬁrst.

♦ Then press the ON/TARE button  to reset the

display to zero.

♦ When you add the food to the container, only

the weight of the food itself will be displayed.

If you take the container with the food oﬀ the

spoon , a negative value will be displayed.

♦ Now press the ON/TARE button  again to

return to the normal weighing mode.

Measuring liquids

The scale in the spoon  can be used for measuring

liquids (15–45 ml or 1–3 tablespoons).

However, due to optical displacement, diﬀerences

of up to 15% can occur.

Hold function (HOLD)

If you press the HOLD button  while a weight is

being displayed, the weight display will be retained

even if you remove the contents from the spoon .

If you then press the HOLD button  again, you

will deactivate the hold function and the current

weight will be displayed again.

Changing the batteries

As soon as the battery becomes low, the " " symbol

will be shown on the display  to remind you to

replace the battery soon. When "

" appears

on the display , the battery is empty.

You should then replace the battery:

♦ Remove the cover of the battery compartment .

♦ Take out the empty battery, and replace it with

a new 1.5 V AAA/LR03 battery. Ensure that the

battery has the correct polarity.

♦ Close the battery compartment .

Error messages

- "OUTZero": There is already more than 30 g

weight in the spoon when the scale is switched

on. Remove the weight from the spoon  and then

switch the appliance back on again.

- „UNSTable“: The appliance is not being

held stably/level while being switched on. Place the

appliance on a stable support/hold the appliance

level and still in your hand.

– The batteries are low. The batteries will need to

be replaced soon!

– The batteries are dead. Replace the

batteries!

- Overload! The material in the spoon  is

heavier than the maximum allowed weight!

Remove some material from the spoon !

Cleaning and care

ATTENTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!

Do not use abrasive or chemical cleaning

materials. These will damage the surface of the

appliance!

♦ Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. For

stubborn soiling use a mild detergent on the

cloth.

NOTE

You can remove the spoon  from the

spoon handle and clean it separately in

the dishwasher.

♦ Ensure that the appliance is properly dry before

re-using it.

Disposal

Never dispose of the appliance

in your normal domestic waste.

This product is subject to the

provisions of European Directive

2012/19/EU.

Dispose of the appliance via an approved

disposal company or your municipal

waste facility. Please comply with all

applicable regulations. Please contact

your waste disposal facility if you are in

any doubt.

Your local community or municipal

authorities can provide information on

how to dispose of the worn-out product.

Used batteries must not be disposed of

in household waste. Consumers are

required by law to dispose of batteries

at a collection point provided by their

local community or at a retail store. The

purpose of this obligation is to ensure

that batteries are disposed of in an

environmentally congruent manner. Only

dispose of batteries when they are fully

discharged.

Dispose of all packaging materials in

an environmentally responsible manner.

Dispose of the packaging in an

environmentally friendly manner. Note

the labelling on the packaging and

separate the packaging material

components for disposal if necessary.

The packaging material is labelled with

abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with

the following meanings:

1–7: plastics,

20–22: paper and cardboard,

80–98: composites.

warranty

Dear Customer,

This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from

the date of purchase. If this product has any faults,

you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your

statutory rights are not restricted in any way by the

warranty described below.

Warranty conditions

The warranty period starts on the date of purchase.

Please keep your receipt in a safe place. This will be

required as proof of purchase.

If any material or manufacturing fault occurs within

three years of the date of purchase of the product,

we will either repair or replace the product for you

or refund the purchase price (at our discretion).

This warranty service requires that you present the

defective appliance and the proof of purchase

(receipt) within the three-year warranty period,

along with a brief written description of the fault

and of when it occurred.

If the defect is covered by the warranty, your

product will either be repaired or replaced by us.

The repair or replacement of a product does not

signify the beginning of a new warranty period.

Warranty period and statutory claims for

defects

The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs

eﬀected under the warranty. This also applies to

replaced and repaired components. Any damage

and defects present at the time of purchase must

be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs

carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall

be subject to a fee.

Scope of the warranty

This appliance has been manufactured in

accordance with strict quality guidelines and

inspected meticulously prior to delivery.

The warranty covers material faults or production

faults. The warranty does not extend to product

parts subject to normal wear and tear or to fragile

parts which could be considered as consumable

parts such as switches, batteries or parts made of

glass.

The warranty does not apply if the product has

been damaged, improperly used or improperly

maintained. The directions in the operating instructions

for the product regarding proper use of the product

are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions that are

discouraged in the operating instructions or which

are warned against must be avoided.

This product is intended solely for private use and

not for commercial purposes. The warranty shall

be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper

handling, use of force and modiﬁcations / repairs

which have not been carried out by one of our

authorised Service centres.

Warranty claim procedure

To ensure quick processing of your case, please

observe the following instructions:

■ Please have the till receipt and the item number

(e.g.IAN12345) available as proof of

purchase.

■ You will ﬁnd the item number on the type plate

on the product, an engraving on the product,

on the front page of the operating instructions

(below left) or on the sticker on the rear or

bottom of the product.

■ If functional or other defects occur, please

contact the service department listed either by

telephone or by e-mail.

■ You can return a defective product to us free

of charge to the service address that will be

provided to you. Ensure that you enclose the

proof of purchase (till receipt) and information

about what the defect is and when it occurred.

► Ne izazivajte kratki spoj baterija.

► Ne pokušavajte ponovo napuniti

► Baterije redovito provjeravajte.

Iscurjela baterijska kiselina može

uzrokovati trajna oštećenja uređa-

ja. Prilikom rukovanja oštećenim ili

iscurjelim baterijama budite poseb-

opeklina! Nosite zaštitne rukavice.

► Baterije čuvajte izvan dohvata

djece. U slučaju gutanja odmah

zatražite liječničku pomoć.

► Baterije izvadite iz uređaja ako
