640-00059-03
4. Thread the cabling through the wall or one of the recessed
areas on the Mounting Bracket Base.
Note: There are two recessed areas for an Ethernet
cable on the Mounting Bracket Base. Place the Ethernet
cable in the recessed area closest to your power
source.
5. Use a Phillips screwdriver to secure the camera to the wall
with the four Pan Head Screws.
Proceed to “Connecting Power and Ethernet”.
Pole Mount
To mount the camera on a pole, use the included Metal Strap:
1. Open the Metal Strap by turning the locking screw
counter-clockwise.
2. Slide the Metal Strap through the back of the camera.
3. Wrap the Metal Strap around the pole. Use a screwdriver or
7 mm socket drive to turn the locking screw clockwise and
securely fasten the strap to the pole.
Connecting Power and Ethernet
1. Disassemble the waterproof gland by turning the
Compression Nut counter-clockwise.
2. Seperate the Seal from the Housing.
3. Insert the Ethernet cable through the Compression Nut and
the Housing. Ensure the threads of the Compression Nut
face the notches on the Housing.
4. Wrap the Seal around the Ethernet cable.
5. Slide the Seal into the Housing.
6. Connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet Connector on
the camera.
Optional Step: The included Ethernet Sleeve can be placed
over the Ethernet connector to allow the cable to be
removed easier.
7. Enclose the waterproof gland by turning the Compression
Nut clockwise. Turn the Compression Nut until the Seal
extrudes slightly from the end of the Compression Nut.
Seal
Note: The Seal should be extruding from the
Compression Nut when properly tightened to
prevent water from entering.
8. Remove the protective plastic film from the camera lens.
9. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to one of the
following:
PoE Adapter Connect the camera to the Ethernet port
labeled POE on the included PoE Adapter.
TOUGHSwitch PRO or Carrier Connect the camera to a
port with 48V power enabled and skip steps 10 and 11.
OR
10. Connect an Ethernet cable from your LAN to the Ethernet
port labeled LAN on the PoE Adapter.
11. Connect the other end of the power cord to a power outlet.
