This appliance is intended for the boiling and kee-

ping hot of drinking water in domestic households. It

is not intended for use with other fluids or for com-

mercial applications.

Safety Information



To avoid potentially fatal electric

shocks:

• Ensure that the base with the electrical connections

NEVER comes into contact with water! Should

the base be accidentally moistened, allow it to

dry completely before using it.

• Use the kettle only with the supplied base.

• Ensure that during operation the power cable

never becomes wet or damp. Lay it so that it

cannot be pinched or otherwise damaged.

• Arrange for defective plugs and/or power cables

to be replaced at once by authorised technicians

or our Customer Service Department.

• After use, ALWAYS remove the plug from the

mains power socket. Simply switching off is not

sufficient, because the appliance remains "live"

for as long as the plug is inserted in the mains

power socket.



To avoid burn and injury risks:

• Heat water only with the lid closed, otherwise

the automatic switch-off cannot function. Boiling

water could then be sprayed out over the edge.

• Hot steam clouds may be released. In addition,

the kettle becomes very hot when in use.

Therefore wear oven-mitts.

• Ensure that the appliance is stood stably and

vertically before switching it on.

Boiling water can cause an unstable appliance

to tip over.

• This appliance is not intended for use by individuals

(including children) with restricted physical, physio-

logical or intellectual abilities or deficiences in

experience and/or knowledge unless they are

supervised by a person responsible for their

safety or receive from this person instruction in

how the appliance is to be used.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that

they do not play with the appliance.

• Do not use an external timing switch or a separate

remote control system to operate the appliance.

Important

Always and only use freshly drawn mains water in

the kettle! Do not consume any water that is not

certified as potable. If you do, you are taking

a risk with your health!

• Before using the appliance, check to ensure

that ...

– the appliance, plug and power cable are in

a faultfree condition and...

– the cable is completely unwound from the cable

winder

under the base

and...

– the cable is guided through the recess on the

base

and...

– all packaging materials have been removed

from the appliance.

• Fill the appliance with water up to the MAX

marking on the scale and let it come to a full

boil once – as described in the next section.

• Pour this water away after boiling it.

• Rinse the kettle with clean water.

• Fill the appliance once again with water up to

the MAX marking on the scale and then bring

it to the boil. Pour this water away also after

boiling it.

The appliance is now ready for use.

Note

If there is no or not enough water in the kettle, then the

appliance switches itself off automatically. Lift the

kettle from the base

and fill it with water to take

the appliance back into use.

Heating water



Danger

NEVER place the electrical base

adjacent to

water – a potentially fatal risk!

Note

Always use freshly drawn water. Do not consume

any water that has already stood in the kettle for

longer than one hour. Do not reboil water that has

cooled down. Always pour old water away.

Microbes could have formed in it!

Note

When possible, heat only as much water as you

actually need. This also saves energy!

• Lift the kettle off of the base when filling it!

• Open the lid by pressing the lid switch under the

handle of the lid

, thereby opening the lid up.

Pull the lid back slightly so that it is secure and

does not drop down.

• When filling it, hold the kettle upright . Only in

this way can you correctly read the markings.

Fill the kettle...

– at least to the MIN mark, so that the appliance

does not overheat,

– no more than to the MAX mark, so that no boiling

water spills out.

• First close the lid, ensuring that it engages...

• and then place the kettle on the base

, such

that it is standing absolutely upright on the base

• Insert the plug into a mains power socket.

You can now heat the water up:

• Set the desired temperature:

press the button SET TEMP

repeatedly until

the LED

at the desired temperature glows.

You can choose between 40°C, 60°C, 80°C

and 100°C.

• When you selected the desired temperature,

press the On/Off button

within about 10 se-

conds. The LED

of the selected temperature

blinks. The LED integrated in the On/Off button

glows. If you do not start the boiling process wit-

hin 10 seconds the set temperature lapses.

• Once the desired temperature has been reached,

a signal tone sounds, the respective LED

for

the temperature reached is lit constantly for

about 2 minutes and the LED integrated in the

On/Off switch

extinguishes.

Information

If you want to bring water to a boil (100°C), you

only need to press the On/Off button

. The

kettle will bring the water to a boil.

Information

- You can cancel the heating up of the water at

any time by pressing the On/Off button

- Once you lift the kettle from the base

, the

appliance switches all functions off. All settings are

cancelled.

Note

Do not let the water stand in the kettle for longer

than is absolutely necessary. That would lead to

scale deposits. Pour away the water that is no lon-

ger required immediately.

Keeping water hot

With this kettle you can maintain the water at a

temperature of (about) 40°C, 60°C, 80°C or

100°C for 30 minutes. Should you have set the

desired temperature maintenance at 100°C, to

avoid excessive steam development the kettle holds

the water at a temperature of between about 90°C

and 100°C. If the desired heating maintenance

temperature is 80°C, 60°C or 40°C, the water he-

ater holds the water at a temperature of between

about 8°C above or below the selected temperature.



Important

Use the keep-warm function only when there is at

least 0.5 liters of water in the kettle. If there is less

water in it, the kettle may be switched off within the

30 minutes in order to protect the heating element.



Warning

BEFORE you lift the kettle from the base

, first

disconnect the plug from the mains power socket. This

prevents causing a short circuit by water possibly spil-

ling out of the kettle and falling onto the live

electrical connections in the base



Risk of personal injury

For safety reasons, the lid should not be opened

while the water is boiling or is very hot. There is

a risk of receiving severe scalds.

The keep-warm setting can be made before, during

or immediately after the boiling process:

Information

If you cannot set the desired temperature, it may be

because the temperature of the water in the kettle is

still too high.

• Press the button Start to begin the boiling and

then the keep-warm process.

The water will now also be kept warm after being

heated.

• Start the boiling process as described in the

• During the boiling process, press the KEEP

WARM

button.

On completion of the boiling process the LED

the currently set temperature glows, the LED integra-

ted in the KEEP WARM

button.

The water will now also be kept warm after being

heated.

• After the signal tone, indicating the end of the

boiling process, press the button KEEP

WARM

The appliance will then automatically maintain the

keep-warm temperature at the temperature you

selected to heat the water. The LED

of the cur-

rently set temperature glows, the LED integrated

in the KEEP WARM

button glows as well as the

LED in the On/Off

button. The water will now

be kept warm.

As soon as the water temperature falls below the set

temperature, the kettle heats up again automatical-

ly. The LED

of the currently selected temperature

setting blinks until the selected temperature has

been regained. Afterwards, it glows constantly

again.

After 30 minutes the kettle switches itself off. Two

signal tones sound. All LEDs extinguish.

- At any time you can cancel the temperature main-

tenance of the water by pressing the On/Off

button

or the KEEP WARM button

- Once you lift the kettle from the base

Cleaning and Care



Danger

Do not open any part of the housing. There are no

user-serviceable elements inside. An open housing

increases the risk of receiving a potentially fatal

electric shock.

Under NO circumstances may the appliance

parts be immersed in water or other liquids!

Should residual liquid be on "live" parts during

use, there would be the risk of receiving a

potentially fatal electric shock.

Before cleaning the appliance, ....

• first disconnect the plug from the mains power

socket and allow the appliance to cool down.

• Clean all exterior surfaces and the power cable

with a slightly moist cloth. In all cases, dry the

appliance well before using it again.

• To clean the inside of the kettle, thoroughly rinse

it out with water and then pour the water away.

• Do not use detergents, abrasives or solvents.

These can damage the appliance.

In the event of scale deposits:

• Before descaling, remove the pourer sieve

(see chapter "Removing/replacing the pourer

sieve").

• Use a descaler designed for household appliances

(e.g. for coffee machines). Pay heed to the in-

structions given for the descaler.

• For the stainless steel container bottom, you can

use a suitable product from a specialist dealer.

Removing/replacing the pouring sieve

• Open the lid.

• Press the tab at the upper end of the pourer

sieve

down and, simultaneously, push the

pourer sieve to the inside.

• You can then lift the pourer sieve

up and out

of its holder.

• Clean the pourer sieve

with a lightly moistened

dishcloth and under running water.

• After cleaning, insert the pourer sieve

from

above and then push it forward so that the tab

locks into place. Ensure that the pourer sieve

grips into the holder at the lower end and is

firmly seated.

• Should any scale deposits have set on the pourer

sieve

, soak it for a few hours in a water-vinegar

solution at a ratio of 6:1. The scale deposits will

dissolve themselves. Rinse the pourer sieve

with copious amounts of clear water.

Storage

Let the appliance cool completely before putting it

in storage.

• Wrap the cable around the cable winder

under the base

• Store the appliance at a dry location.

Disposal

Do NOT dispose of the appliance in

your normal domestic waste. This

product is subject to the provisions of

European Directive 2002/96/EC.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved dis-

posal centre or at your community waste facility.

Observe the currently applicable regulations.

In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal

centre.

Dispose of all packaging materials in an

environmentally friendly manner.

Warranty and Service

You receive a 3-year warranty for this appliance

of the purchase date. This appliance has been

manufactured with care and meticulously examined

before delivery.

Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In

the case of a warranty claim, please make contact

by telephone with our Customer Service Depart-

ment. Only in this way can a post-free despatch for

your goods be assured.

The warranty covers only claims for material and

manufacturing defects, not for transport damages,

wearing parts or for damage to fragile components,

e.g. buttons or batteries. This product is for private

use only and is not intended for commercial appli-

cations.

In the event of misuse and improper handling, use

of force and interference not carried out by our au-

thorized service branch, the warranty will become

void. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any

way by this warranty.

The warranty period is not extended by repairs ef-

fected under warranty. This applies also to replaced

and repaired parts. Damages or defects discovered

after purchase are to be reported directly after un-

packing, at the latest two days after the purchase

date. Repairs carried out after lapse of the warranty



Kako biste spriječili opasnost po

život uslijed strujnog udara:

• Osigurajte, da postolje sa električnim priključcima

nikada ne može doći u dodir sa vodom! Pustite

postolje da se u potpunosti osuši, ako je slučajno

postao vlažan.

• Uređaj za kuhanje vode koristite isključivo sa

postoljem sadržanim u obimu isporuke.

• Obratite pažnju na to, da mrežni kabel u radu

nikad ne bude mokar ili vlažan. Vodite ga tako,

da ne bude ukliješten ili na drugi način oštećen.

• Oštećene mrežne utikače ili oštećen mrežni kabel

neizostavno dajte zamijeniti od strane autorizir-

anog stručnog osoblja ili servisa za kupce, kako

biste izbjegli nastanak opasnosti.

• Nakon upotrebe uvijek izvucite utikač iz utičnice.

Samo isključivanje uređaja nije dovoljno, jer je

još uvijek prisutan mrežni napon u uređaju, dok

Kipuća voda može dovesti do pada uređaja,

Pažnja

Uvijek koristite isključivo svježu pitku vodu, kada

radite sa uređajem za prokuhavanje vode! Ne

konzumirajte vodu, koja nije deklarirana kao pitka

voda. U protivnom postoji opasnost od narušavanja

zdravlja!

• Prije nego što uređaj pustite u rad, provjerite,

da...

– su uređaj, utikač i kabel za napajanje u besprije-

kornom stanju i...

– da je mrežni kabel potpuno sa namotača

smještenog ispod postolja

odmotan i...

– da je mrežni kabel kroz utor na postolju

proveden i...

– da su svi materijali od pakiranja odstranjeni sa

uređaja.

• Napunite uređaj sa vodom do oznake MAX

na skali i pustite je da jednom prokuza - na način

opisan u slijedećm poglavlju.

• Ovu vodu nakon prokuhavanja odlijte.

• Posudu isperite bistrom vodom.

• Uređaj još jednom napunite vodom do oznake

MAX na skali i pustite je da proključa. Ovu vodu

takođe prolijte.

Uređaj je sada spreman za rad.

Napomena

Ako se u kuhalu za vodu ne nalazi voda ili dovoljna

količina vode, uređaj se automatski isključuje.

Podignite posudu sa postolja

i umetnite vodu, kako

biste uređaj mogli ponovo pustiti u rad.

Zagrijavanje vode



Opasnost

Nikada nemojte električno postolje

dovesti u

blizinu vode – opasnost po život!

Napomena

Uvijek koristite svježu pitku vodu. Ne konzumirajte

vodu, koja je stajala duže od jednoga sata u kuhalu.

Ohlađenu vodu nemojte ponovo prokuhati. Staru

vodu uvijek prospite. Moglo bi doći do stvaranja

klica!

Napomena

Zagrijte po mogućnosti samo toliko vode, koliko

Vam je zaista potrebno. To štedi energiju!

• Skinite posudu, da biste je napunili!

• Otvorite poklopac tako, što ćete otvarač pritisnuti

ispod ručke poklopca

i pritom otklopiti poklo-

pac. Poklopac lagano povucite prema natrag,

tako da čvrsto stoji i da se ne zatvori.

• Prilikom punjenja posudu držite u uspravnom

stanju. Samo tako možete oznake ispravno očitati.

Napunite posudu...

– najmanje do oznake MIN-Marke, kako se

uređaj ne bi pregrijao,

– Najviše do oznake MAX, kako ne bi izlazila

kipuća voda.

• Prvo zatvorite poklopac tako da ulegne...

• i zatim postavite posudu na postolje

, sve

dok ona ne stoji sasvim ravno na postolju

• Zatim utaknite mrežni utikač u utičnicu.

Sada vodu možete zagrijati:

• Podesite željenu temperaturu:

Pritisnite tipku SET TEMP

toliko puta, dok LED

svijetli kod željene temperature. Možete birati

između stupnja temperature 40°C, 60°C,

80°C i 100°C.

• Kada ste izabrali željenu temperaturu, u roku od

10 sekundi pritisnite tipku Uklj/Isklj

. LED svje-

tiljka

izabrane temperature trepti. U tipci

Uklj/Isklj

integrirana LED svijetli. Ako u roku

od 10 sekundi ne pokrenete postupak kuhanja,

dolazi do gubitka podešene temperature.

• Čim je dostignuta željena temperatura, oglašava

se signalni zvuk, odgovarajuća LED svjetiljka

dostignute temperature konstantno svijetli ca.

2 minute i u tipci Uklj/Isklj

integrirana LED

svjetiljka se gasi.

Napomene

Ako želite prokuhati vodu (100°C), trebate samo

pritisnuti tipku Uklj/Isklj

. Kuhalo za vodu će

dovesti vodu do ključanja.

Napomene

- Zagrijavanje vode u svakom trenutku pritiskanjem

tipke Uklj/Isklj

možete prekinuti.

- Čim posudu skinete sa postolja

, uređaj isključuje

sve funkcije. Sva podešenja će biti izgubljena.

Napomena

Vodu ne ostavite u kuhalu za vodu duže nego što je

potrebno. To dovodi do stvaranja vapnenih naslaga.

Vodu, koju više ne trebate, odmah prolijte.

Održavanje temperature vode

Sa ovim kuhalom za vodu možete održavati tempe-

raturu vode na (ca.) 40°C, 60°C, 80°C ili 100°C

u trajanju od 30 minuta. Ako ste željenu temperaturu

za održavanje postavili na vrijednost 100°C, uređaj

će održavati temperaturu vode između ca. 90°C i

ca. 100°C, tako da bude spriječeno prekomjerno

stvaranje pare. Ako željena temperatura za održa-

vanje iznosi 80°C, 60°C ili 40°C, kuhalo za vodu

će održavati temperaturu vode na vrijednosti od ca.

8°C ispod ili iznad izabrane vrijednosti temperature.



Pažnja

Funkciju održavanja temperature koristite samo

onda, kada se najmanje količina od 0,5 litara vode

nalazi u kuhalu za vodu. Ako je sadržana manja

količina vode, kuhalo za vodu će eventualno biti

isključeno unutar roka od 30 minuta, kako bi bio za-

štićen element za zagrijavanje.



Upozorenje

Prvo izvucite mrežni utikač iz utičnice, prije nego što

posudu sa postolja

podignete. Time ćete spriječiti,

da izlazeća voda može dospjeti na električne spojeve

u postolju

i dovesti do kratkoga spoja.



Opasnost od ozljeđivanja

Iz sigurnosnih razloga ne biste trebali otvarati po-

klopac, kada voda kuha ili kada je jako vruća.

Postoji opasnost od opeklina.

Podešenje održavanja temperature možete izvršiti

prije, za vrijeme ili neposredno nakon postupka

kuhanja:

Napomene

Ako željenu temperaturu ne možete podesiti, razlog

može biti taj da je temperatura vode u uređaju još

previsoka.

• Nakon signalnog zvuka, koji označava kraj po-

stupka kuhanja, pritisnite tipku KEEP WARM

Uređaj održavanu temperaturu vode automatski po-

dešava na vrijednost temperature, na koju ste pre-

thodno zagrijali vodu. LED svjetiljka

aktualno po-

dešene temperature svijetli, u tipci KEEP WARM

integrirani LED svijetli, kao i LED tipke Uklj/Isklj

Temperatura vode sada će biti održavana.

Čim temperatura vode padne ispod podešene vri-

jednosti, kuhalo za vodu automatski vrši ponovno

zagrijavanje. LED

Nakon toga konstantno svijetli.

Nakon 30 minuta kuhalo za vodu ponovo se isklju-

čuje. Oglašavaju se dva signalna zvuka. Sve LED

- Čim posudu skinete sa postolja

, uređaj isključuje

Napomena

Vodu ne ostavite u kuhalu za vodu duže nego što je

potrebno. To dovodi do stvaranja vapnenih naslaga.

Vodu, koju više ne trebate, odmah prolijte.

Čišćenje i održavanje



Opasnost

Nikada ne otvarajte dijelove kućišta.

U njemu se ne nalaze elementi za rukovanje.

U slučaju otvorenog kućišta može doći do opasnosti

po život uslijed strujnog udara

Dijelove uređaja nikada ne smijete uroniti u

vodu ili u drugu vrstu tekućine! Moglo bi doći

do opasnosti po život uslijed strujnog udara,

kada za vrijeme rada uređaja tekućina dospije

na dijelove, koji se nalaze pod naponom.

Prije nego što čistite uređaj, ....

• izvucite mrežni utikač iz utičnice i ostavite uređaj

da se ohladi.

• Očistite sve vanjske površine i mrežni kabel sa

blago navlaženom krpom za suđe. U svakom

slučaju uređaj dobro osušite prije ponovne upo-

rabe.

• Da biste očistili unutrašnje strane kuhala za vodu

uređaj isperite vodom i istu nakon toga prolijte.

• Ne koristite sredstva za čišćenje, agresivna

sredstva ili otapala. Ovakva sredstva bi mogla

oštetiti uređaj.

U slučaju naslaga vapnenca

• Prije uklanjanja vapnenca izvadite odlijevno sito

(vidi poglavlje “Vađenje/postavljanje odli-

jevnog sita").

• Upotrijebite sredstvo za otapanje vapnenca neš-

kodljivo za namirnice, koje ćete naći u trgovini sa

predmetima za pokućstvo (n.pr. sredstvo

za odstranjivanje vapnenca aparata za kavu).

Postupite na način opisan u uputama za ruko-

vanje sredstva za odstranjivanje vapnenca.

• Za dno uređaja od plemenitog čelika možete

koristiti prikladno sredstvo iz stručne trgovine.

Skidanje/umetanje sita sa elementom za

izlijevanje

• Otvorite poklopac.

• Pritisnite ispust na gornjem kraju odlijevnog sita

prema dolje i istovremeno odlijevno sito pritisnite

prema unutra.

• Zatim odlijevno sito

možete prema gore izvući

iz držača.

• Očistite odlijevno sito

krpom za suđe i pod

mlazom tekuće vode.

• Nakon čišćenja umetnite odlijevno sito

s gornje

strane i pritisnite ga prema naprijed, tako da

ispust ulegne u ležište. Obratite pažnju na to, da

odlijevno sito

hvata u držač na donjem kraju

i ima čvrst položaj.

• Ukoliko je došlo do naslaga vapnenca u odlijev-

nom situ

, isto postavite na nekoliko sati u mje-

šavinu vode i octa pripravljenu u omjeru 6:1.

Naslage vapnenca se rastvaraju. Isperite odlijevno

sito

sa velikom količinom bistre vode.

Čuvanje uređaja

Ostavite uređaj da se potpuno ohladi, prije nego

što ga odnesete.

• Namotajte mrežni kabel na namatač za kabel

smješten ispod postolja

• Uređaj čuvajte na suhom mjestu.

Zbrinjavanje

Uređaj nikako ne bacajte u obično

kućno smeće. Ovaj proizvod podliježe

europskoj smjernici 2002/96/EC.

Uređaj zbrinite preko autoriziranog poduzeća

za zbrinjavanje otpada ili preko Vaše komunalne

ustanove za zbrinjavanje.

Obratite pažnju na aktualne važeće propise.

U slučaju dvojbe se povežite sa Vašom ustanovom

za zbrinjavanje otpada.

Sve materijale ambalaže zbrinite na način

neškodljiv za okoliš.

Jamstvo i servis

Na ovaj uređaj dobivate 3 godine jamstva od datuma

kupnje. Uređaj je pažljivo proizveden i prije isporuke

brižljivo kontroliran.

Molimo sačuvajte blagajnički račun kao dokaz o

kupnji. Molimo vas, da se u slučaju garancije telefons-

ki povežete sa svojom servisnom ispostavom. Samo

na taj način vaša roba može biti besplatno uručena.

Jamstvo vrijedi isključivo za greške materijala i izrade,

a ne za transportna oštećenja, potrošne dijelove ili

oštećenja lomljivih dijelova, na primjer prekidača ili

baterija. Proizvod je namjenjen isključivo za privatnu, a

ne za komercijalnu uporabu.

Indicaţii de siguranţă



Pentru a evita pericolul de

electrocutare:

• asiguraţi-vă că suportul cu conexiunile electrice

nu va intra niciodată în contact cu apa! Dacă,

din întâmplare, suportul s-a umezit, lăsaţi-l să se

usuce;

• utilizaţi fierbătorul de apă numai împreună cu su-

portul livrat;

• evitaţi contactul cablului cu lichide sau umezirea

acestuia atât timp cât este în funcţiune. Ghidaţi

cablul astfel încât să nu se blocheze sau să se

deterioreze într-un alt mod;

• dacă ştecărul sau cablul de alimentare se defec-

tează, solicitaţi imediat repararea de către perso-

nal specializat sau de către serviciul clienţi, pentru

a evita periclitările;

• după utilizare, scoateţi totdeauna ştecărul din

priză. Simpla oprire nu este suficientă, deoarece

în aparat mai există încă tensiune, atât timp cât

ştecărul este în priză;



Pentru a evita pericolul de incendiu

şi de rănire:

• Încălziţi apa numai dacă capacul este închis, altfel

sistemul automat de decuplare nu va funcţiona.

Apa care fierbe se poate revărsa peste margine.

• Se pot degaja aburi fierbinţi. În plus, vasul este

foarte fierbinte în timpul funcţionării. De aceea,

purtaţi mănuşi de bucătărie.

• Înainte de a-l porni, asiguraţi-vă că aparatul este

aşezat stabil şi vertical.

Apa care fierbe poate răsturna aparatul aşezat

într-o poziţie instabilă.
