This product must not be used by children. Children must be

supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.

This product may be used by persons with reduced physical,

sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge are used

when supervised or in order to ensure the safety of the product the use

of the product and understand the resulting hazards.

Intended use:

The GARDENA Battery High Pressure Washer is intended to clean

ﬂoor tiles, garden furniture / tools, bicycles and to clean softly or to water

plants.

The product is not intended for continuous operation.

Do not use the product for cleaning people, animals, vehicles or

electrical wiring.

IMPORTANT!

Read the operator’s manual carefully before use and keep for future

reference.

Do not point the cleaning jet at persons, animals,

vehicles or electrical wiring.

The product is not suitable for connection to the drinking

water supply system.

Remove the Battery before cleaning or maintenance.

For the charger:

Remove plug from the mains immediately if the cable is

damaged or cut.

Always wear approved eye and ear protection.

Do not expose to rain.

General safety warnings

The water temperature must not exceed 45 °C.

When connecting the high pressure washer to the water supply system, the

country-specific sanitary regulations must be observed to prevent water not of

drinking water quality being drawn back in.

v Please consult a specialist for sanitary installations.

Wear suitable personal protective equipment (safety gloves, helmet with visor and

hearing protection).

The maximum permissible pressure when connected to the water pipe is 6bar.

Take care when opening the spray gun! When using the flat or rotary nozzle,

recoil forces can occur when the spray gun is opened, causing a torque on the

lance.

The spray gun can be secured against accidental opening by a lock.

CAUTION! The product is not intended for the application of cleaning agents.

CAUTION! Do not use the product within reach of persons unless they are

wearing protective clothing.

CAUTION! Do not point the jet at yourself or others to clean clothes or footwear.

CAUTION! Risk of explosion! Do not spray flammable liquids.

CAUTION! High pressure hoses, fittings and couplings are important for product

safety. Only use accessories recommended by GARDENA (high pressure hoses,

fittings and couplings).

CAUTION! To ensure product safety, use only original spare parts approved

by GARDENA.

CAUTION! Water that has flowed through non-return valves is deemed to be

non-drinkable.

CAUTION! Do not use the product if a connecting cable or important parts are

damaged, e. g. safety devices, high pressure hoses, spray gun, etc.

1. SAFETY

DANGER! Electric shock!

Risk of injury due to electric shock.

v The product must be supplied through a residual current device (RCD)

having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.

CAUTION! Remove the battery before cleaning, maintenance, when replacing

parts or when the product is converted to another function.

Additional safety warnings

Battery safety

DANGER! Fire risk!

The battery to be charged must be placed on a nonflammable, heat

resistant and non-conductive surface while charging.

The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.

Keep corrosive, flammable and easily combustible objects clear of

the battery charger and the battery.

Do not cover the battery charger and the battery while charging.

Disconnect the battery charger immediately in the event of smoke formation or fire.

Only use the original GARDENA Charger to charge the battery. The use of other

battery chargers may damage the batteries irreparably and even cause a fire.

Only use original GARDENA batteries for the GARDENA battery product.

Do not charge any third-party batteries. There is a risk of fire and explosion!

If you notice fire: Extinguish the flames with oxygen reducing materials.

DANGER! Risk of explosion!

Protect batteries from heat and fire. Do not leave on radiators or expose

to strong sunshine for long periods.

Do not operate in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of

flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Batteries may create sparks which

could ignite the dust or fumes.

Check your replacement battery before each use. Visually check the battery

before each use. A non-functioning battery must be disposed of correctly. Do not

send by post. For further details, please contact your local disposal companies.

For risks of injury do not use the battery as a power source for other products.

Only use the battery for the GARDENA product intended.

Only charge and use the battery in ambient temperatures of between 0 °C and

40 °C. Allow battery to cool down after long periods of use.

Check the charging cable regularly for signs of damage or ageing (brittleness).

Only use it in perfect condition.

Do not stow or transport the battery above 45 °C or in direct sunlight. Ideally, the

battery should be stored below 25 °C so that self-discharge is low.

Do not expose the battery to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a battery will

increase the risk of electric shock.

Keep battery in order (clean) especially air vents.

If usage of the battery is not planned for a certain time (winter period) reload the

battery to avoid a deep discharge.

Do not store while still attached to a tool, this prevents misuse and accidents.

Do not store the battery in places where static electricity is present.

Electrical safety

DANGER! Cardiac arrest!

This product makes an electromagnetic field while it operates. This field

may under some conditions interfere with active or passive medical

implants. To decrease the risk of conditions that can possibly injure or

kill, we recommend persons with medical implants to speak with their

physician and the medical implant manufacturer before you operate the

product.

Disconnect the battery in case of emergency.

Switch off the product when the water tank is empty.

Personal safety

DANGER! Risk of suffocation!

Small parts can be easily swallowed. There is also a risk that the polybag

can suffocate toddlers. Keep toddlers away when you assemble the

product.

Check the product before usage.

Do not use a damaged product especially if there are cracks on the housing.

Caution: Do not park the pressure washer on a slope

Do not immerse the product.

Operate the machine only in daylight or in good artificial light.

When cleaning painted surfaces, keep a jet distance of at least 30 cm to avoid

damage.

Do not clean car tires, paint or sensitive surfaces such as wood to avoid damage.

v Observe the weight of the product during transport.

2. ASSEMBLY

v Remove the battery before you assemble the product.

To assemble the pedestal [ Fig. A1 ]:

1. Push the pedestal

into the openings

in the washer.

Make sure that the pedestal

is completely in place and the pedestal

hole is inline up with the holes in the washer.

2. Put the screws

in the holes in the washer.

3. Tighten the screws

with a screwdriver.

Make sure that the screws are completely tightened.

To assemble the handle [ Fig. A2 ]:

1. Push the handle

into the openings

in the washer.

Make sure that the handle

is completely in place and the handle

hole is inline up with the holes in the washer.

2. Put the screws

in the holes in the washer.

3. Tighten the screws

with a screwdriver.

Make sure that the screws are completely tightened.

To assemble the pressure hose and the spray gun

[ Fig. A3 / A4 / A5 / A6 ]:

DANGER!

v The product may only be used when the pressure hose and

the spray lance are completely assembled.

There are 2 attachments in the scope of delivery:

– Flat nozzle

– Irrigation shower

The following attachments are available as accessories:

– GARDENA Surface Brush AquaClean Li Art. 9842

– GARDENA Rotating Nozzle AquaClean Li Art. 9843

The accessories can be stored in the storage net on the back of the high

pressure washer.

1. Place the front lance

on the spray gun

and turn it counter-

clockwise until the connection engages noticeably (bayonet lock).

2. Pull the ring

of the quick coupling backwards, place the desired

attachment

on the front lance

and release the ring

again.

3. Pull down the locking lever

and push the pressure hose

into the

spray gun

until it stops.

4. Push the locking lever

up again to lock the pressure hose

5. First pull the union nut

of the pressure hose

backwards.

6. Then push the pressure hose

until it stops into the pressure

connection

on the washer.

7. Tighten the union nut

clockwise.

v Let the pressure out of the system before disconnecting the pressure

hose from the pressure washer or spray gun.

Use personal protective equipment.

Always wear eye protection.

Protective equipment such as gloves, non-skid safety shoes, or hearing protec-

tion used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.

Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the product is in a safe working

condition.

Do not disassemble the product further than the delivery status.

Warning! When wearing hearing protection, and due to the noise produced by

the product, the operator may not notice persons approaching.

While operation and transport pay special attention to the hazard for other people.

Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating

a power tool.

Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs,

alcohol or medication.

A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious

personal injury.

Only use the product with clear water. Do not add any additives to the water.

Impurities in the water can damage the pump and accessories.

Do not use the product in frost.

When the high pressure washer is switched on, the On-LED

When not in use, the high pressure washer switches oﬀ automatically after

5 minutes.

Soft-Clean button:

v Push the Soft-Clean button

on the control panel.

When the Soft-Clean mode is activated, the LED

‚

illuminates.

The Soft-Clean mode reduces the spray pressure for cleaning sensitive

surfaces. It also extends the battery life.

Work position [ Fig. O5 ]:

The performance is divided into the Normal mode and Soft-Clean

mode.

The Normal mode is ideal for cleaning ﬂoor tiles, garden furniture / -tools,

bicycles, etc. Hold the lance at an angle of approx. 45°.

Be careful when you work near plants. The force of the water jet could

damage plants.

The Soft-Clean mode reduces the engine speed for a maximum battery

lifetime. It is ideal for cleaning sensitive surfaces.

To start the high pressure washer [ Fig. O4 / O6 / O7 / O8]:

DANGER! Risk of injury!

Risk of injury if the product does not stop when you

release the start lever.

v Do not bypass the safety devices or switches. For example

do not attach the start lever to the handle.

To start:

The product is provided with a safety device (start lever with safety

lock) to prevent the product from being turned on by accident.

1. Open the ﬂap

4. Push the On / Oﬀ button

on the control panel

The engine starts briefly until the operating pressure is reached. The

engine then stops again and the high pressure washer is ready to start.

5. Hold the lance

with one hand.

6. Hold the spray gun

with the other hand, push the safety lock

the left side and pull the start lever

The high pressure washer starts.

To stop:

1. Release the start lever

and push the safety lock

on the right side.

The high pressure washer stops.

v Remove the battery before you maintain the product.

Attention! Before you disassemble the pressure hose or spray gun,

press the start lever when switched off to release the residual

pressure in the system.

To provide the water supply:

You can enable the water supply via the supplied water tank

or a tap.

Water supply via the water tank [ Fig. A7 / A8 ]:

The water tank can be removed for ﬁlling.

1. Unscrew the cover

and ﬁll the water tank

with water

(up to 14 litres).

2. Screw the cover

back down. Make sure that the gasket

correctly inserted in the cover

3. Place the water tank

on the high pressure washer.

4. Push the locks

on both sides down until the connection audibly

engages.

v Take water only up to the “min.” marker.

The water tank is not watertight in the lateral position.

v Carry the full water tank by the handle.

Water supply via the tap [ Fig. A9]:

– The minimum hose size is 1/2" / 13 mm.

– The max. permitted water pressure at the tap is 6 bar.

Caution: Disconnect the high pressure washer from the tap after

cleaning.

3. OPERATION

v Remove the battery before you adjust or transport the product.

To charge the battery [ Fig. O1 / O2 ]:

CAUTION!

Overvoltage damages the battery and the battery charger.

v Make sure that you use the correct mains voltage.

For the GARDENA Battery High Pressure Washer Art. 9341-55 there

is no battery in the scope of delivery.

The battery is not in the product when it is delivered.

Before you use the battery the ﬁrst time, the battery must be completely

charged.

The lithium-ion battery can be charged in any state of charge and the

charging process can be disconnected at any time without to damage

the battery (no memory eﬀect).

1. Open the ﬂap

2. Push both locking buttons

and remove the battery

6. Examine the charge status regularly while you charge.

7. When the battery

is completely charged, disconnect the battery

To clean the high pressure washer [ Fig. M1 ]:

DANGER! Risk of injury!

Risk of injury and risk of damage to the product.

v Do not clean the product with water or with a water jet

(in particular high-pressure water jet).

v Do not clean with chemicals including petrol or solvents.

Some can destroy critical plastic parts.

The airflow slots must always be clean.

1. Clean the airﬂow slots

with a soft brush (do not use a screwdriver).

2. Clean all movable parts after each operation. Especially remove any dirt

from the connections.

3. Clean the water tank with clear water.

To clean the filter [ Fig. M2 ]:

The ﬁlter must be cleaned regularly.

1. Unscrew the tap connector

2. Remove the ﬁlter

The high-pressure washer may only be operated with the filter.

To clean the gasket [ Fig. A7 ]:

1. Unscrew the cover

2. Remove the gasket

3. Clean the gasket

under running water.

4. Clean the vent opening in the cover

under running water.

5. Replace the gasket

in the cover

6. Screw the cover

back onto the water tank

To clean the battery and the battery charger:

Make sure that the surface and the contacts of the battery and the battery

charger always are clean and dry before you connect the battery charger.

Do not use running water.

v Clean the contacts and the plastic parts with a soft and dry cloth.

5. STORAGE

To put into storage:

The product must be stored away from children.

1. Remove the battery.

2. Charge the battery.

3. Clean the high pressure washer, the battery and the battery charger

(see 4. MAINTENANCE).

4. Store the high pressure washer, the battery and the battery charger

in a dry, enclosed and frost-free place.

Disposal:

(in accordance with RL2012/19/EC)

The product must not be disposed of to normal household waste.

It must be disposed of in line with local environmental regulations.

IMPORTANT!

v Dispose of the product through or via your municipal recycling

collection centre.

Disposal of the battery:

Li-ion

The GARDENA battery contains lithium-ion cells that should

not be disposed of with normal household waste at the end of

its life.

IMPORTANT!

v Dispose of the batteries through or via your municipal recycling

collection centre.

1. Discharge the lithium-ion cells completely (contact the GARDENA

Service).

2. Protect the contacts on the lithium-ion cells against short circuits.

3. Dispose of the lithium-ion cells properly.

In the event of a warranty claim, no charge is levied to you for the services

provided.

GARDENA Manufacturing GmbH oﬀers a 2-year warranty for this product

(from the date of purchase) if the product has been used exclusively for

private purposes. This manufacturer’s warranty does not apply to used

products purchased from a secondary market. This warranty includes all

signiﬁcant defects of the product that can be proved to be material or

manufacturing faults. This war ranty is fulﬁlled by supplying a fully functional

replacement product or by repairing the faulty product sent to us free

of charge; we reserve the right to choose between these options. This

service is subject to the following provisions:

• The product was used for its intended purpose as per the recommenda-

tions in the operating instructions.

• Neither the purchaser nor a third party has attempted to repair the product.

• Only original GARDENA spare and wear parts were used.

Normal wear and tear of parts and components, optical changes, as well

as wear parts and consumables, are excluded from the warranty.

This manufacturer’s warranty does not aﬀect warranty entitlements against

the dealer / retailer.

If problems arise with this product, please contactour Service depart-

ment. In the event of a warranty claim, please send the defective pro-

ducttogether with a copy of the purchase receipt and a description of

the defect, sufficiently stamped, to the GARDENA service address on

the back page.

The ﬁlter is a consumable and not included in the warranty.
