IX. HOW TO STORE THE BREAST MILK
1.Only breast milk that has been collected using a sterile breast pump can be stored to feed your baby.
2.The milk can be stored in a thermos at 40 °C, so you can feed your baby every 4 hours.
3.If you store freshly expressed milk, seal the milk. The milk can be stored for 10 hours at room temperature at 19 -25 °C.
4.The expressed milk can be stored in a refrigerator for a maximum of 48 hours (but not on the refrigerator door) or in a
freezer for a maximum of 3 months.
5.Frozen milk must first be left in the refrigerator to thaw naturally. If you need it urgently, put it in a bowl of warm water
and thaw it. After thawing, the milk can be stored in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
6.NEVER FREEZE MILK AGAIN.
7.Frozen milk can be gradually warmed in warm water or placed in a baby bottle warmer.
8.NEVER WARM YOUR BREAST IN THE MICROWAVE, BECAUSE YOU CAN DESTROY VITAL NUTRIENTS AND ANTIBODIES
THIS WAY. Also, uneven heating can lead to too hot areas of breast milk, which can cause burns to your baby's upper
digestive tract. Never place a frozen bottle of milk in boiling water, as this may cause the bottle to burst / break. Never
pour boiling water directly into a feeding bottle. You should allow the water to cool for about 20 minutes before filling the
bottle.
X. CLEANING AND STERILIZATION OF THE PUMP
Important: NEVER CLEAN WITH WATER or STERILIZE the pumping mechanism (PM) and the connecting hose (AT). You can
only clean it with a soft dry cloth.
Clean and sterilize your electric pump before first use and after each use, following the instructions below.
•Sterilization:
1.Remove the tube (AT) from the pump mechanism (PM) and set it aside. Separate all other parts: DS,MP,PB,P,C,V,BB,
BC, SN, BL, then wash them with warm soapy water and dry them. Do not use antibacterial or corrosive cleaners.
2.Sterilize ONLY the following parts DS,MP,PB, P, C, V, BB, BC, SN, BL in a steam sterilizer or by boiling for 5 minutes.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CLEANING
1.Use a steam sterilizer. Boiling the parts is not recommended. The first reason is that the product will be easily damaged
if improper sterilization is applied. Second, this method of sterilization cannot achieve full effect.
2.If you do decide to use boiling as a sterilization method, pour more water into the container so that the parts are
completely covered with water. You must not leave the product unattended during the sterilization process. Do not boil
for too long - maximum 10 minutes.
3. For breastfeeding mothers who breastfeed every 2-3 hours, we do not recommend sterilizing after each use. Excessive
sterilization can easily lead to premature aging of parts and shorten the life of the breast pump. Thorough cleaning of
stains and sterilization once a day is recommended.
4. Store the parts in a clean container until the next use.
•IMPORTANT! If you use the breast pump as a means of storing milk, you must take care to disinfect all washable parts of
the pump, because otherwise, the milk can easily spoil, as it is a product that is difficult to store.
•ATTENTION! Before use, make sure that the pump body, valve, piston and cover are dry.
•DO NOT STERILIZE THE TUBE –PART AT, to avoid accidental ingress of water into the pump motor.
•If you use a steam sterilizer to clean the pump parts, be careful that they do not come into contact with the heating plate
of the sterilizer.
•If you use boiling as a sterilization method, make sure that the parts do not come into contact with the bottom of the
container in which you are boiling.
8. Breast pump use errors:
The electric pump is an apparatus, which helps postpartum women to ease the pain and to extend the breastfeeding
time. It uses the premise that there is sufficient milk and smooth mammary gland. For some women, which are mothers
for the first time, the mammary gland usually is not smooth enough. A reason sometimes can be the congenital nipple
inversion or milk water shortage. So, we suggest you before purchasing and using the pump, to consult with a doctor who
could confirm that your mammary gland is smooth and that the breast milk is in normal condition. Do not buy and use the
pump only as a device to unblock your milk ducts.
XI. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
1. Lack of suction:
•Check if you have assembled all parts correctly and if the valve is positioned correctly.
•Make sure that the silicone massage pad is fitted securely and a perfect seal is created.
•Check if you have placed the silicone valve firmly to the opening of the pump body.
•Check whether there are any damaged parts.
•Check if the battery is down. Charge fully before use. Do not use during charging to prolong the battery life.
