refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock

if your body is earthed or grounded.

c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.

Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of

electric shock.

d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for

carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep

cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving

parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of

electric shock.

e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an

extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a

cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric

f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is

unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD)

protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of

electric shock.

3) PERSONAL SAFETY

a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use

common sense when operating a power tool. Do not

use a power tool while you are tired or under the

inuence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment

of inattention while operating power tools may result in

serious personal injury.

b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear

eye protection. Protective equipment such as a dust

mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing

protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce

personal injuries.

c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch

is in the o-position before connecting to power

source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying

the tool. Carrying power tools with your nger on the

switch or energising power tools that have the switch on

invites accidents.

d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning

the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to

a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal

injury.

e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance

at all times. This enables better control of the power tool

in unexpected situations.

f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or

jewellery. Keep your hair and clothing away from

moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can

be caught in moving parts.

g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust

extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are

connected and properly used. Use of dust collection

can reduce dust-related hazards.

h) Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of

tools allow you to become complacent and ignore

tool safety principles. A careless action can cause

severe injury within a fraction of a second.

4) POWER TOOL USE AND CARE

a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power

tool for your application. The correct power tool will

do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was

designed.

b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn

will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR HEDGE

TRIMMER

a) Keep all parts of the body away from the blade. Do

not remove cut material or hold material to be cut

when blades are moving. Blades continue to move

after the switch is turned o. A moment of inattention

while operating the hedge trimmer may result in serious

personal injury.

b) Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle with the

blade stopped and taking care not to operate any

power switch. Proper carrying of the hedge trimmer will

decrease the risk of inadvertent starting and resultant

personal injury from the blades.

c) When transporting or storing the hedge trimmer,

always t the blade cover. Proper handling of the

hedge trimmer will decrease the risk of personal injury

from the blades.

d) When clearing jammed material or servicing the

unit, make sure all power switches are o and

the battery pack is removed or disconnected.

Unexpected actuation of the hedge trimmer while

clearing jammed material or servicing may result in

serious personal injury.

e) Hold the hedge trimmer by insulated gripping

surfaces only, because the blade may contact

hidden wiring. Blades contacting a “live” wire may make

exposed metal parts of the hedge trimmer “live” and

could give the operator an electric shock.

f) Keep all power cords and cables away from cutting

area. Power cords or cables may be hidden in hedges or

bushes and can be accidentally cut by the blade.

g) Do not use the hedge trimmer in bad weather

conditions, especially when there is a risk of

lightning. This decreases the risk of being struck by

lightning.

BEFORE USE

• This tool is not intended for use by children and

persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge

• Ensure that children do not play with the tool

• Do not leave the tool unattended

• Only use the tool in daylight or with appropriate articial

lighting

• Do not trim hedges when they are wet

• Never use the tool with a defective protective guard

• Check the functioning of the tool before each use and,

in case of a defect, have it repaired immediately by a

qualied person; never open the tool yourself

• Before use, thoroughly inspect the cutting area and

remove all foreign objects that could be entangled in the

cutting blades (such as stones, nails, wire fences, metal

plant supports)

DURING USE

• Wear protective gloves, a dust mask, close-tting clothes

and sturdy shoes

• Do not operate the tool when barefoot or wearing open

sandals

c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/

or remove the battery pack, if detachable, from

the power tool before making any adjustments,

changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such

preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the

power tool accidentally.

d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children

and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power

tool or these instructions to operate the power tool.

Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained

users.

e) Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for

misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage

of parts and any other condition that may aect the

power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power

tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by

poorly maintained power tools.

f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly

maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less

likely to bind and are easier to control.

g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc.,

in accordance with these instructions, taking into

account the working conditions and the work to be

performed. Use of the power tool for operations dierent

from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

h) Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean

and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and

grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and

control of the tool in unexpected situations.

5) BATTERY TOOL USE AND CARE

a) Recharge only with the charger specied by the

manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type

of battery pack may create a risk of re when used with

another battery pack.

b) Use power tools only with specically designated

battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may

create a risk of injury and re.

c) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from

other metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys,

nails, screws, or other small metal objects that can

make a connection from one terminal to another.

Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns

or a re.

d) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected

from the battery; avoid contact. If contact

accidentally occurs, ush with water. If liquid

contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid

ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.

e) Do not use a battery pack or tool that is damaged

or modied. Damaged or modied batteries may exhibit

unpredictable behaviour resulting in re, explosion or risk

of injury.

f) Do not expose a battery pack or tool to re or

excessive temperature. Exposure to re or temperature

above 130°C may cause explosion.

g) Follow all charging instructions and do not charge

the battery pack or tool outside the temperature

range specied in the instructions. Charging

improperly or at temperatures outside the specied range

may damage the battery and increase the risk of re.

6) SERVICE

CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ GÉNÉRALES POUR L’OUTIL

6) RÉPARATION

lame arrêtée et en veillant à n’actionner aucun

interrupteur marche/arrêt. Porter le taille-haie

correctement permet de réduire le risque de démarrage

accidentel et de blessures corporelles dues aux lames

subséquentes.

c) Lors du transport et du stockage du taille-haie,

mettez toujours la lame dans le fourreau. Manipuler

le taille-haie correctement permet de réduire le risque de

blessures corporelles dues aux lames.

d) Lors de la réparation de l’outil ou du retrait

de matière coincée, veillez à ce que tous les

interrupteurs marche/arrêt soient sur leur

position arrêt et à ce que la batterie soit retirée

ou déconnectée. La mise en marche accidentelle du

taille-haie pendant le retrait de matière coincée ou sa

UTILISATION

ALLGEMEINE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE ZU

ELEKTROWERKZEUGEN

-WARNUNG Beachten Sie alle Warnhinweise,

Nichtbeachtung der unten aufgeführten Anweisungen

kann zu Stromschlägen, Bränden und/oder schweren

1) SICHERHEIT IM ARBEITSBEREICH

a) Halten Sie den Arbeitsbereich stets sauber und

2) ELEKTRISCHE SICHERHEIT

a) Die Netzstecker von Elektrowerkzeugen müssen

zur Steckdose passen. Der Netzstecker darf

f) Halten Sie die Grie und Griächen trocken,

sauber und frei von Öl und Fett. Rutschige Grie und

Griächen beeinträchtigen die sichere Handhabung des

Werkzeugs und führen in unerwarteten Situationen zum

Verlust der Kontrolle über das Werkzeug.

5) BENUTZUNG UND PFLEGE VON AKKUGERÄTEN

a) Laden Sie den Akku nur mit dem vom Hersteller

vorgegebenen Ladegerät auf. Ein Ladegerät, das für

einen bestimmten Akkutyp geeignet ist, kann bei der

Benutzung eines anderen Akkus zu einer Brandgefahr

werden.

b) Benutzen Sie für die Elektrowerkzeuge nur die

jeweils zugehörigen Akkus. Bei Verwendung anderer

Akkus besteht Verletzungs- und Brandgefahr.

c) Wenn der Akku nicht benutzt wird, halten Sie ihn

von anderen metallischen Gegenständen fern,

wie etwa Büroklammern, Münzen, Schlüsseln,

Nägeln, Schrauben oder anderen kleinen

Metallgegenständen, die eine Verbindung zwischen

den Polen herstellen können. Das Kurzschließen der

Pole kann Verbrennungen oder Brände verursachen.

d) Bei unsachgemäßer Anwendung kann Flüssigkeit

aus dem Akku austreten; Kontakt vermeiden. Falls

Sie versehentlich mit Akkusäure in Berührung

gekommen sind, spülen Sie mit Wasser. Falls

einem feuchten Ort unvermeidbar ist, benutzen Sie

eine durch eine Fehlerstromschutzeinrichtung (FI-

Schalter) geschützte Stromquelle. Die Verwendung

einer Fehlerstromschutzeinrichtung reduziert die

Stromschlaggefahr.

3) PERSONENSICHERHEIT

a) Seien Sie wachsam, geben Sie darauf Acht,

was Sie tun, und benutzen Sie Ihren gesunden

Menschenverstand, wenn Sie ein Elektrowerkzeug

verwenden. Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn

Sie müde oder unter dem Einuss von Drogen,

Alkohol oder Medikamenten stehen. Ein Moment

der Unachtsamkeit kann beim Gebrauch eines

Elektrowerkzeugs zu ernsthaften Verletzungen führen.

b) Tragen Sie eine persönliche Schutzausrüstung.

Tragen Sie immer einen Augenschutz. Durch eine für

die jeweiligen Bedingungen geeignete Schutzausrüstung

wie etwa eine Staubschutzmaske, rutschfeste Schuhe,

Helm oder Gehörschutz lässt sich die Verletzungsgefahr

c) Ungewollten Anlauf verhindern. Vor dem

Anschließen an eine Steckdose und/oder einen

Akku und vor dem Aufnehmen oder Transportieren

des Geräts immer kontrollieren, ob der

Hauptschalter in ausgeschalteter Position ist. Unfälle

sind vorprogrammiert, wenn Sie Elektrowerkzeuge

mit einem Finger am Hauptschalter tragen oder

Elektrowerkzeuge mit eingeschaltetem Hauptschalter an

eine Steckdose anschließen.

d) Entfernen Sie alle Einstellschlüssel oder

Schraubenschlüssel, bevor Sie das Elektrowerkzeug

einschalten. Ein Schraubenschlüssel oder ein

Schlüssel, der noch an einem beweglichen Teil des

Elektrowerkzeuges befestigt ist, kann Verletzungen

hervorrufen.

e) Nicht überstrecken. Achten Sie stets auf einen

festen Stand und halten Sie das Gleichgewicht. Dies

ermöglicht in unerwarteten Situationen eine bessere

Kontrolle über das Elektrowerkzeug.

f) Tragen Sie angemessene Kleidung. Tragen Sie keine

weite Kleidung oder Schmuck. Halten Sie Ihr Haar

und Ihre Kleidung von beweglichen Teilen fern. Weite

Kleidung, Schmuck oder langes Haar können sich in den

beweglichen Teilen verfangen.

g) Wenn Komponenten zum Anschluss an eine

Absauganlage und an Auangvorrichtungen

mitgeliefert werden, achten Sie darauf, dass diese

ordnungsgemäß befestigt und benutzt werden.

Die Verwendung einer Staubauangvorrichtung kann

Gefahren durch Staub reduzieren.

h) Lassen Sie sich nicht durch die aufgrund

häuger Benutzung entstandene Vertrautheit

mit Werkzeugen dazu verleiten, unachtsam

zu werden und die für Werkzeuge geltenden

Sicherheitsgrundsätze zu ignorieren. Eine fahrlässige

Handlung kann bereits im Bruchteil einer Sekunde zu

schweren Verletzungen führen.

4) GEBRAUCH UND PFLEGE DES

ELEKTROWERKZEUGS

a) Üben Sie keinen übermäßigen Druck auf das

Elektrowerkzeug aus. Verwenden Sie ein geeignetes

Elektrowerkzeug für die jeweiligen Arbeiten. Das

richtige Elektrowerkzeug erledigt die Arbeit besser und

der Heckenschere ebenfalls Strom führen, sodass für

den Bediener Stromschlaggefahr besteht.

f) Halten Sie alle Kabel vom Schneidbereich fern.

Kabel können von Büschen oder Hecken verdeckt

werden und vom Scherblatt versehentlich durchtrennt

werden.

g) Verwenden Sie die Heckenschere nicht bei

schlechtem Wetter und insbesondere nicht bei

Gewitter. Bei Gewitter besteht die Gefahr eines

Blitzschlags.

VOR DEM GEBRAUCH

• Das Werkzeug ist nicht für die Benutzung durch

Kinder oder Personen mit eingeschränkten

körperlichen, sensorischen oder geistigen

Fähigkeiten oder durch Personen mit mangelndem

Wissen und Erfahrungen geeignet.

• Das Werkzeug niemals unbeaufsichtigt lassen.

• Nur bei ausreichendem Tageslicht oder mit

entsprechender künstlicher Beleuchtung verwenden.

• Hecken nicht schneiden, wenn sie nass sind.

• Benutzen Sie das Werkzeug niemals mit einer defekten

Schutzvorrichtung.

• Die Funktion des Werkzeuges vor jeder Anwendung

prüfen und es bei einem Defekt sofort von einer

qualizierten Person reparieren lassen; das Werkzeug

niemals selbst önen.

• Vor der Verwendung den Schnittbereich sorgfältig

inspizieren und alle Fremdkörper entfernen, die sich

im Scherblatt verfangen könnten (z. B. Steine, Nägel,

Drahtzäune oder Panzstäbe aus Metall).

WÄHREND DES GEBRAUCHS

• Tragen Sie Schutzhandschuhe, eine Staubschutzmaske,

eng anliegende Kleidung und robuste Schuhe.

• Das Gerät nicht barfuß oder mit oenen Sandalen

verwenden.

• Bei der Verwendung des Geräts stets lange Hosen und

lange Ärmel tragen.

• Bei der Verwendung des Werkzeugs einen Abstand von

5 m zu anderen Personen und Tieren einhalten.

• Bei der Arbeit auf sicheren Stand achten; sich nicht

übernehmen, insbesondere auf Leitern und Podesten.

• Bei elektrischer oder mechanischer Fehlfunktion das

Werkzeug sofort ausschalten und den Akku entfernen

ziehen.

NACH DEM GEBRAUCH

• Bewahren Sie das Werkzeug in einem geschlossenen

Raum trocken und verschlossen auf, sodass es für

Kinder nicht zugänglich ist.

-Bewahren Sie den Akkupack getrennt vom Gerät auf.

AKKU

• Der mitgelieferte Akku ist nur teilgeladen (um die

volle Kapazität des Akkus nutzen zu können, laden Sie

den Akku im Ladegerät vollständig auf, bevor Sie das

Elektrowerkzeug zum ersten Mal verwenden).

• Nur die mit diesem Werkzeug mitgelieferten Akkus

und Ladegeräte verwenden.

• Beschädigte Akkus nicht verwenden, sondern sofort

ersetzen.

• Dan Akku nicht zerlegen.

• Das Werkzeug/den Akku niemals Regen aussetzen.

• Erlaubte Umgebungstemperatur (Werkzeug/Ladegerät/

Akkusäure in die Augen geraten ist, suchen Sie

zudem einen Arzt auf. Aus dem Akku austretende

Flüssigkeit kann Reizungen oder Verätzungen

verursachen.

e) Benutzen Sie keinen Akku oder ein Werkzeug, das

beschädigt oder umgebaut wurde. Beschädigte

oder umgebaute Akkus können sich unvorhergesehen

verhalten, wodurch möglicherweise ein Brand, eine

Explosion oder Verletzungen verursacht werden.

f) Akkus oder Werkzeuge vor Feuer oder extremen

Temperaturen schützen. Feuer oder Temperaturen über

130 °C können eine Explosion verursachen.

g) Befolgen Sie alle Ladeanweisungen und laden

Sie den Akku oder das Werkzeug nicht außerhalb

des Temperaturbereichs auf, der in der Anleitung

angegebenen ist. Das unsachgemäße Auaden oder

Laden außerhalb des angegebenen Temperaturbereichs

kann den Akku beschädigen und die Brandgefahr

erhöhen.

6) REPARATUREN

a) Lassen Sie Ihr Elektrowerkzeug von einer

qualizierten Fachkraft und nur unter Verwendung

baugleicher Ersatzteile reparieren. Nur so kann für die

Sicherheit des Elektrowerkzeugs gesorgt werden.

b) Reparieren Sie unter keinen Umständen

beschädigte Akkus. Akkus sollten ausschließlich

vom Hersteller selbst oder einer autorisierten

Reparaturwerkstatt repariert werden.

SPEZIELLE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE FÜR

HECKENSCHEREN

a) Halten Sie alle Körperteile vom Scherblatt fern.

Wenn das Scherblatt in Bewegung ist, darf das

Schnittgut nicht festgehalten oder mit der Hand

entfernt werden. Nach dem Ausschalten bewegt sich

das Scherblatt noch eine Zeit lang weiter. Ein Moment

der Unachtsamkeit bei der Arbeit mit der Heckenschere

kann zu schweren Verletzungen führen.

b) Tragen Sie die Heckenschere bei stillstehendem

Scherblatt am Gri und achten Sie darauf, nicht

den Betriebsschalter zu betätigen. Das Risiko eines

unbeabsichtigten Einschaltens der Heckenschere und

daraus resultierende Verletzungen durch das Scherblatt

wird verringert, wenn die Heckenschere sachgemäß

getragen wird.

c) Wenn Sie die Heckenschere transportieren oder

lagern, bringen Sie immer die Schutzabdeckung der

Messer an. Durch eine sachgemäße Handhabung der

Heckenschere senken Sie das Verletzungsrisiko durch

die Messer.

d) Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Betriebsschalter

ausgeschaltet sind und der Akku entnommen oder

getrennt ist, wenn Sie festgeklemmtes Schnittgut

entfernen. Das unerwartete Ingangsetzen der

Heckenschere, während Sie festgeklemmtes Schnittgut

entfernen oder das Gerät warten, kann schwere

Verletzungen verursachen.

e) Halten Sie die Heckenschere nur an den isolierten

Halteächen fest. Es ist nicht auszuschließen,

dass verdeckt verlegte Kabel vom Messer berührt

werden. Trit das Scherblatt auf ein Strom führendes

Kabel, besteht die Gefahr, dass die blanken Metallteile
