Charging the battery
Charge the battery before using the C Pen for the first time or when the C Pen has been
unused for extended periods.
Use only Samsung-approved chargers and cables. Unapproved chargers or cables can
cause the battery to explode or damage the C Pen.
•
Chargers are sold separately.
•
If the battery is completely discharged, the C Pen cannot be used immediately
when the charger is connected. Allow a depleted battery to charge for a few
minutes before using the C Pen.
•
Using a power source other than the charger, such as a computer, may result in a
slower charging speed due to a lower electric current.
•
The C Pen can be used while it is charging, but it may take longer to fully charge
the battery.
•
If the device receives an unstable power supply while charging, the C Pen may not
function. If this happens, unplug the charger from the device.
•
While charging, the C Pen may heat up. This is normal and should not affect the
C Pens lifespan or performance. If the battery gets hotter than usual, the charger
may stop charging.
•
If the C Pen is not charging properly, take the C Pen to a Samsung Service Centre.
1
Open the charging port cover and connect the C Pen to a charger.
Connecting the charger improperly may cause serious damage to the C Pen. Any
damage caused by misuse is not covered by the warranty.

Notices for using Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard that uses a 2.4 GHz frequency to connect to
various devices over short distances. It can connect and exchange data with other Bluetooth
enabled devices, such as mobile devices, computers, printers, and other digital home
appliances, without connecting via cables.
•
To avoid problems when connecting your C Pen to another device, place the devices
close to each other.
•
Ensure that your C Pen and the other Bluetooth device are within the Bluetooth
connection range (10 m). The distance may vary depending on the environment the
devices are used in.
English (UK)

Using the C Pen
11
•
Ensure that there are no obstacles between the C Pen and a connected device, including
human bodies, walls, corners, or fences.
•
Do not touch the Bluetooth antenna of a connected device.
•
Bluetooth uses the same frequency as some industrial, scientific, medical, and low power
products and interference may occur when making connections near these types of
products.
•
Some devices, especially those that are not tested or approved by the Bluetooth SIG, may
be incompatible with your C Pen.
•
Do not use the Bluetooth feature for illegal purposes (for example, pirating copies of files
or illegally tapping communications for commercial purposes).
Using the C Pen
Various features, such as performing touch actions, writing on a connected devices screen,
or launching apps, are available when the C Pen is connected to another device. The line
thickness will change depending on how hard you press the nib against the screen.
If you apply excessive pressure to the pen nib or use the pen on a rough surface, the
pen nib may be damaged.
The C Pen does not have a power on/off function. If the C Pen is not used for
approximately ten minutes, it will enter sleep mode and the C Pen and the mobile
device will be disconnected. To connect the devices again, press the Up button or the
Down button.
