Direction Indicators
The position of the laser beam in the reception area 9 is indicated:
– by the direction LEDs “move downward” 8, “move upward” 6 or the centre indica-
tors 7 on the front and back of the measuring tool,
– optionally by the audio signal (see “Audio Signal for Indication of the Laser Beam”,
page 17).
Measuring tool too low: If the laser beam runs through the upper half of the recep-
tion area 9, then the direction LEDs 6 light up.
If the audio signal is switched on, a signal sounds at a high frequency.
Move the measuring tool upward in the arrow direction.
Measuring tool too high: If the laser beam runs through the lower half of the recep-
tion area 9, then the direction LEDs 8 light up.
If the audio signal is switched on, a signal sounds at a low frequency.
Move the measuring tool downward in the arrow direction.
Measuring tool centred: If the laser beam runs through the reception area 9 at the
height of the centre mark 12, then the centre-indication LEDs 7 light up. If the audio
signal is switched on, a continuous tone sounds.
Audio Signal for Indication of the Laser Beam
The position of the laser beam on the reception area 9 can be indicated via an audio
signal.
After the measuring tool has been switched on, the audio signal is always set to the
low volume level.
The volume level can be increased or switched off.
To change or switch off the audio signal, press the audio signal button 4. When the
volume is low, a brief audio signal will sound and the centre-indication LED 7 will light
up. When the volume is high, a brief audio signal will sound and the direction LEDs 6,
7 and 8 will light up. When the audio signal is switched off, the LED indicators are
extinguished.
Independent of the audio signal setting, a short beep sounds at low volume level each
time a button is pressed on the measuring tool.
Working Advice
Marking
When the laser beam runs through the center of the reception area 9, its height can
be marked at the centre mark 12 right and left on the measuring tool.
When marking, take care to align the measuring tool exactly vertical (for horizontal
laser beam), or horizontal (for vertical laser beam), as otherwise the marks are offset
with respect to the laser beam.
