Safety instructions
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
► Connect the appliance only to mains power sockets supplying a mains
po
wer voltage of 220 - 240 V
~
/ 50 Hz.
► To avoid risks, arrange for defective plugs and/or power cables to be
r
eplaced at once by qualifi ed technicians or our Customer Service Depart-
ment.
► In the event of operating malfunctions, and before cleaning the appliance,
disconnect the plug fr
om the mains power socket.
► To disconnect the power cable, always pull the plug from the socket, do not
pull the po
wer cable itself.
► Do not crimp or crush the power cable and lay it in such a way as to
pr
event anyone from stepping on or tripping over it.
► Ensure that the power cable does not become wet or moist during use.
Place it such that it cannot be crushed or damaged.
► Should the appliance become damaged, to avoid personal risks discon-
tinue the use of it immediately

► Do not wrap the power cable around the appliance and protect it from
being damaged.
► Under no circumstances may the appliance be submersed in fl uids or
fl
uids be allowed to permeate the housing. Do not expose the appliance
to humidity and do not use it outdoors. Should liquids enter the housing,
disconnect the appliance from the mains power socket immediately and
arrange for it to be repaired by a qualifi ed technician.
► To enable you to disconnect the appliance quickly in the event of an emer-
gency
, do not use extension cables.
► NEVER grasp the appliance, the power cable or the plug with wet hands.
► Disconnect the appliance from the mains power source immediately after
use. The appliance is completely fr

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
Under no circumstances should you use this appliance in the close
vicinit
y of baths, shower basins or other receptacles containing water.
The proximity of water presents a risk, even when the appliance
is switched off . After use, always disconnect the plug from the
mains power socket. As additional protection, the installation of
a faulty-current protection unit with an activation power rating of
not more than 30 mA is recommended for the power circuit in the
bathroom. Ask your electrician for advice .

► NEVER leave a switched on appliance unsupervised.
► Do not place the appliance close to sources of heat and protect the power
cable against damage.
► Do not operate the appliance if it has sustained a fall or is damaged in any
w
ay. Arrange for the appliance to be checked and/or repaired by qualifi ed
technicians.
► Do not open the housing or attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
Should y
ou do so, the safety concept can no longer be assured and the
warranty becomes void. Permit only authorised technicians to repair a
defective appliance if repairs should be necessary.
► The appliance and its accessories can become hot when in use. Therefore
only touch the handle and the buttons.
► This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children)
with r
estricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or defi ciences
in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how the
appliance is to be used. Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
► Always only use the appliance with attachments, never on its own, as the
connector for the attachments becomes hot during oper
ation.
► Allow the appliance to cool down before attaching or detaching attach-
ments.

► Use only the supplied original accessories as these have been optimised
for inter
action with the appliance. Other parts are possibly not adequately
safe.
► Keep the openings for the air inlet and outlet clear so as to have unim-
pair
ed air fl ow. Otherwise the appliance may overheat.
► Exercise caution when using hair spray, water atomizers etc. It could hap-
pen that the air fl
ow may blow these substances directly into your eyes. On
the other hand, these substances must not enter the appliance – they may
be infl ammable, aggressive or conductive for electricity.

Unpacking
♦ Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions from the
carton.
♦ Remove all packing material.

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance against transport damage. The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves raw material and
reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is no
longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.
NOTICE
► If possible, preserve the appliance's original packaging during the warranty
period,
so that in the event of a warranty claim you can package the appliance
ideally for its return.

– the appliance and the attachments are in good working order,
– all packaging materials have been removed.
■ Clean all of the attachments as described under “Cleaning and care”.

► After operation, the appliance components may be hot!
Fitting Attachments
■ Insert the desired attachment into the attachment insertion slot 1, so that
the front arrow symbol on the attachment points at the arrow symbol on the
attachment insertion slot 1
.
■ Turn the attachment clockwise until it clicks into place. The back arrow on
the attachment no
w points at the arrow on the attachment insertion slot 1
.
Removing attachments
■ First switch the appliance off and allow it to cool down..
■ Press the release button “push” 7 and turn the attachment anti-clockwise
.
■ The attachment can now be removed by pulling it out of the attachment inser-
tion slot 1.
Switching on/off / Selecting a heat level
■ When you have inserted the required attachment and connected the plug
with the mains power socket, you can now switch the appliance on with the
level switch 3 and select the output level:
– “0“ The appliance is switched off
– “1“ for a reduced air-fl ow strength with heat
– “2“ for a high air-fl ow strength with heat
■ You switch the appliance off by sliding the level switch 3 to the position “0”
(= appliance off
).
■ To fi x the styling, you can use the slide switch Cool Shot 2. The st
yling will
be fi xed by the cool air stream:
– During operation, slide the slide switch Cool Shot 2 upw
ards.
The air fl ow will be cooler.
– When you want to deactivate the cool air stream, slide the slide switch
Cool Shot 2 do
wnwards.

Using the attachments
Large round brush

This attachment gives the hair more volume or large curls.
■ Wind a slightly damp strand of hair around the large round brush e.
■ Switch the appliance on at level 1 or 2.
■ When the strand is dry, slide the slide switch Cool Shot 2 upw
ards.
Wait until the strand has cooled.
■ Unwind the large round brush e fr
om the strand.
■ Proceed with the other strands in the same way.
Small round brush
With this attachment you can put curls or waves into your hair.
■ Wind a slightly damp strand of hair around the small round brush 0.
■ Switch the appliance on at level 1 or 2.
■ When the strand is dry, slide the slide switch Cool Shot 2 upw
ards.
Wait until the strand has cooled.
■ Unwind the small round brush 0 fr
om the strand.
■ Proceed with the other strands in the same way.
Curling tongs

With this attachment you can put small spiral curls (angel curls) into your hair.
■ Secure the tip of the strand with the clip.
■ Then wind the slightly damp strand of hair around the curling tongs 9.
■ Switch the appliance on at level 1 or 2.
■ When the strand is dry, slide the slide switch Cool Shot 2 upw
ards.
Wait until the strand has cooled.
■ Pull the curling tongs 9 out of the str
and.
■ Proceed with the other strands in the same way.

Smoothing brush

With this attachment you can smoothen your hair.
■ Grasp a strand of hair with the folded-out smoothing brush w near the hair
r
oots, close it and keep it closed.
■ Switch the appliance on at level 1 or 2.
■ Pull the strand slowly through the smoothing brush w.
■ Proceed with the other strands in the same way.
Half round brush

The half-round brush 8 is suitable for combing and simultaneous blow drying of
the hair.
Styling jet

With this attachment you can target parts of your hair for styling and blow-
drying.
Cleaning and Care

► Do not use any aggressive, abrasive or chemical cleaning agents! These
could damage the upper sur
faces of the appliance.
■ Clean the appliance only with a lightly moistened cloth.
■ Allow the appliance to dry completely before re-use or before storing it.
■ If necessary, wipe the storage bag q or the attachments 8/9/0/
w/e/r with a damp cloth.
■ Clean the air intake grill 6 at r
egular intervals with a soft brush.

■ You can also hang the appliance up by the suspension loop 5.
■ If you are intending to not use the appliance for an extended period, store it
in the stor
age bag q. The appliance must be cooled down for this!
Tips for the perfect hairstyle
■ Only style your hair when it is already almost dry.
■ Divide your hair into individual strands for more volume.
■ You will achieve additional volume by starting to dry your hair at the hairline
and w
orking down towards the ends.
■ After switching the appliance off , wait for a few seconds before releasing
the curl.
■ Let your hair cool down suffi
ciently before combing it out.
Disposal of the appliance
Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste.
This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive
2002/96/EC-WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your com-
munity waste facility. Pay heed to the currently applicable regulations.
In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase. The appli-
ance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the event of a warranty claim,
please make contact by telephone with our Customer Service department. Only
in this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.
NOTICE
► The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects,
it is not applicable for tr
ansport damages, parts subject to wear and tear
or for damage to fragile components, e.g. bulbs and switches.
This appliance is intended solely for private domestic use, not for commercial ap-
plications. If this product has been subjected to improper or inappropriate han-
dling, abuse, or modifi cations not carried out by one of our authorised service
centres, the warranty will be considered void.
Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty. The warranty
period is not extended by repairs made under the warranty. This applies also to

Damages and defects extant at the time of purchase must be reported immedi-

Informaţii privind aceste instrucţiuni de utilizare
Felicitări pentru cumpărarea noului dumneavoastră aparat!
Cumpărând acest ondulator de păr, aţi decis să alegeţi un produs de cea mai
înaltă calitate. Instrucţiunile de utilizare fac parte integrantă din acest produs.
Acestea cuprind informaţii importante privind siguranţa, utilizarea şi eliminarea
aparatului. Înainte de utilizarea aparatului, familiarizaţi-vă cu toate indicaţiile
de operare şi de siguranţă. Utilizaţi acest produs numai în modul descris şi nu-
mai în scopurile menţionate. În cazul în care înmânaţi aparatul altei persoane,
predaţi de asemenea şi documentele aferente acestuia.
Dreptul de autor
Prezenta documentaţie cade sub domeniul material de aplicare al legislaţiei
privind drepturile de autor.
Multiplicarea, respectiv retipărirea, chiar şi în extras, precum şi redarea imagini-
lor, fi e acestea şi modifi cate, sunt permise numai cu acordul scris al producătorului.
Limitarea răspunderii
Toate informaţiile, datele şi indicaţiile tehnice cu privire la conectarea şi operarea
aparatului din aceste instrucţiuni corespund stadiului actual de la momentul
tipăririi şi se întemeiază pe experienţa şi cunoştinţele dobândite până în prezent,
fi ind oferite cu bună-credinţă.
Datele, imaginile şi descrierile din aceste instrucţiuni de utilizare nu sunt suscepti-
bile a face obiectul dreptului la despăgubiri.
Producătorul nu este responsabil pentru deteriorările cauzate de nerespectarea
instrucţiunilor, de utilizarea neconformă, de reparaţiile necorespunzătoare, de
modifi cările neautorizate sau de utilizarea pieselor de schimb neaprobate.
Utilizarea conform destinaţiei
Acest aparat este destinat îngrijirii părului uman şi poate fi utilizat în scopuri
private.
Aparatul nu poate fi utilizat asupra animalelor şi nici în scopuri comerciale/profesionale
sau industriale.
Orice altă utilizare este considerată a fi neconformă. Pretenţiile de orice natură
născute în urma deteriorărilor sau utilizării neconforme sunt excluse. Riscul este
suportat în totalitate de utilizator.

Indicaţii de siguranţă
PERICOL DE ELECTROCUTARE
► Conectaţi aparatul numai la o priză instalată corespunzător, cu o tensiune
a r
eţelei de 220 - 240 V
~
/ 50 Hz.
► Pentru a evita pericolele, ştecărul sau cablul de conectare trebuie înlocuit
imediat de cătr
e un electrician autorizat sau de serviciul clienţi.
► În cazul defecţiunilor de funcţionare şi înaintea curăţării aparatului, scoateţi
ştecărul din priză.
► Când scoateţi cablul din priză trageţi întotdeauna de ştecăr şi nu de cablu.
► Nu îndoiţi sau striviţi cablul de alimentare şi pozaţi-l astfel încât să nu devi-
nă o piedică în calea dumneav
oastră.
► Evitaţi contactul cablului cu lichide sau umezirea acestuia în timpul funcţi-
onării apar
atului. Ghidaţi cablul astfel încât să nu poată fi deteriorat sau
blocat de alte obiecte din jur.
► În cazul în care este deteriorat, pentru a evita pericolele, nu mai utilizaţi
apar
atul.
► Nu înfăşuraţi cablul în jurul aparatului şi protejaţi-l împotriva deteriorărilor.
► Este interzisă imersarea aparatului în lichide; a se evita infi ltrarea umezelii
în car
casa aparatului. Nu expuneţi aparatul mediilor umede şi nu-l utilizaţi
în aer liber. Dacă, din întâmplare, în carcasa aparatului se infi ltrează
lichide, scoateţi imediat ştecărul din priză şi predaţi aparatul unui specialist
în vederea reparării.
► Nu utilizaţi cabluri prelungitoare, astfel încât, în caz de pericol, să puteţi
scoate r
epede cablul din priză.
► Nu atingeţi niciodată aparatul, cablul de alimentare şi ştecărul cu mâinile
ude.
► După utilizare, deconectaţi aparatul de la sursa de curent. Aparatul este
complet fără cur
ent, doar după scoaterea din priză a ştecărului.
► Asiguraţi-vă că în aparat nu vor intra obiecte, în special agrafe, cleme sau
ace de păr metalice.

PERICOL DE ELECTROCUTARE
Nu utilizaţi acest aparat în apropierea căzilor de baie, a cabinelor
de duş sau a altor r
ecipiente cu apă.
Apropierea de apă este periculoasă chiar dacă aparatul este
oprit. De aceea, scoateţi ştecărul din priză după fi ecare utilizare.
Ca măsură de protecţie suplimentară se recomandă instalarea
unui dispozitiv pentru curenţii liberi cu intensitate de declanşare nu
mai mare de 30 mA în circuitul de curent din baie. Solicitaţi sfatul
electricianului.
AVERTIZARE! PERICOL DE RĂNIRE!
► Nu lăsaţi nesupravegheat aparatul afl at în funcţiune.
► Nu aşezaţi aparatul în apropierea surselor de căldură şi protejaţi cablul de
alimentar
e împotriva deteriorărilor.
► Nu mai utilizaţi aparatul dacă a căzut sau dacă este defect. În aceste ca-
zuri, apar
atul trebuie verifi cat, resp. reparat de către un specialist califi cat.
► Sunt interzise deschiderea şi repararea carcasei aparatului. În aceste
cazuri nu mai este asigur
ată siguranţa, iar garanţia se pierde. Aparatele
defecte trebuie reparate numai de către specialişti autorizaţi.
► Componentele aparatului se pot înfi erbânta în timpul utilizării. De aceea,
atingeţi numai mânerul şi butoanele.
► Acest aparat nu este destinat utilizării de către persoane (inclusiv copii) cu
capacităţi fi
zice, senzoriale sau intelectuale limitate sau cu o experienţă şi/
sau cunoştinţe limitate, cu excepţia cazului în care sunt supravegheate de
către o persoană responsabilă cu siguranţa lor sau au primit instrucţiuni de
la aceasta privind modul de utilizare a aparatului; copiii trebuie suprave-
gheaţi, pentru a împiedica utilizarea aparatului ca jucărie.
► Utilizaţi aparatului numai dacă aţi montat un accesoriu, pentru că locul de
conectar
e al accesoriilor se încălzeşte în timpul operării.
► Înainte de a monta sau demonta accesoriile aşteptaţi ca aparatul să se
răcească.

► Utilizaţi numai accesoriile originale livrate; acestea au fost create pentru a
funcţiona optim cu acest apar
at. Alte piese ar putea fi insufi cient de fi abile.
► Pentru un fl ux de aer continuu, păstraţi neacoperite orifi ciile pentru intrarea
şi ieşir
ea aerului. Altfel, aparatul se poate supraîncălzi.
► Fiţi precauţi cu spray-ul de păr şi pulverizatorul de apă etc. Pe de o parte,
cur
entul de aer poate sufl a aceste substanţe direct în ochii dumneavoastră.
Pe de alte parte, acestea nu trebuie să se infi ltreze în aparat – deoarece
pot fi infl amabile, corozive sau conductibile.

INDICAŢIE
► Verifi caţi dacă furnitura este completă şi dacă prezintă deteriorări vizibile.
► În cazul în care furnitura este incompletă sau dacă componentele sunt
deterior
ate din cauza ambalajului precar sau a transportului apelaţi linia
telefonică directă de service (a se vedea capitolul Service-ul).
Dezambalarea
♦ Scoateţi toate componentele aparatului şi instrucţiunile de utilizare din cutie.
♦ Îndepărtaţi toate materialele de ambalat.

Eliminarea ambalajelor
Ambalajul protejează aparatul împotriva deteriorărilor în timpul transportului.
Materialele de ambalat sunt selectate ţinând seama de compatibilitatea lor cu
mediu şi de aspectele tehnice privind eliminarea, fi ind astfel reciclabile.
Reintroducerea ambalajului în circuitul materialelor conduce la economia de
materii prime şi reduce volumul deşeurilor. Eliminaţi ambalajele de care nu mai
aveţi nevoie conform prevederilor legale în vigoare.

► Pe cât posibil, păstraţi ambalajul original în timpul perioadei de garanţie
a apar
atului pentru ca în cazul în care sunt necesare reparaţii să îl puteţi
ambala corespunzător.

– au fost îndepărtate toate ambalajele.
■ Curăţaţi toate accesoriile în modul descris la capitolul „Curăţarea şi îngrijirea″.
