Typenbezeichnung und Seriennummer sind auf dem Typenschild angegeben.

2.1 Sicherheitshinweise

Anweisungen können elektrischen Schlag, Brand und/oder schwere Verletzungen verursachen.

Bewahren Sie alle Sicherheitshinweise und Anweisungen für die Zukunft auf.

Der in den Sicherheitshinweisen verwendete Begriff „Elektrowerkzeug“ bezieht sich auf netzbetriebene

Elektrowerkzeuge (mit Netzleitung) oder auf akkubetriebene Elektrowerkzeuge (ohne Netzleitung).

▶Lesen und beachten Sie vor Inbetriebnahme die Bedienungsanleitungen und sicherheitsbezogenen

Informationen der Systemprodukte.

▶Benutzen Sie das Modul nur in Verbindung mit den in der Bestimmungsgemäßen Verwendung → Seite 4

genannten Elektrowerkzeugen, ansonsten besteht Verletzungsgefahr.

▶Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose oder entfernen Sie einen abnehmbaren Akku, bevor Sie

Geräteeinstellungen vornehmen, Zubehörteile wechseln oder das Elektrowerkzeug weglegen. Diese

Vorsichtsmaßnahme verhindert den unbeabsichtigten Start des Elektrowerkzeugs.

▶Benutzen Sie das Produkt und Zubehör nur in technisch einwandfreiem Zustand.

▶Nehmen Sie niemals Manipulationen oder Veränderungen an Produkt oder Zubehör vor.

▶Seien Sie aufmerksam, achten Sie darauf, was Sie tun und gehen Sie mit Vernunft an die Arbeit mit dem

▶Durch die Bearbeitung kann Material absplittern. Abgesplittertes Material kann Körper und Augen

verletzen. Tragen Sie während des Einsatzes des Produktes Augenschutz, Schutzhelm und Gehörschutz.

▶Verwenden Sie Elektrowerkzeug, Zubehör, Einsatzwerkzeuge usw. entsprechend diesen Anweisungen.

Berücksichtigen Sie dabei die Arbeitsbedingungen und die auszuführende Tätigkeit. Der Gebrauch von

Elektrowerkzeugen für andere als die vorgesehenen Anwendungen kann zu gefährlichen Situationen

führen.

▶Das Modul darf nicht zum Aufsaugen von explosionsgefährlichen Stoffen, glühenden, brennenden oder

brennbaren Stoffen, aggressiven Stäuben (z. B. Magnesium- oder Aluminiumstaub) und Flüssigkeiten

(z. B. Benzin, Lösungsmittel, Säuren, Kühl- und Schmiermittel) eingesetzt werden.

▶Staub, der beim Schleifen, Schmirgeln, Schneiden und Bohren entsteht, kann gefährliche Chemikalien

enthalten. Einige Beispiele sind: Blei oder Farben auf Bleibasis; Ziegel, Beton und andere Mauer-

werksprodukte, Naturstein und andere silikathaltige Produkte; Bestimmte Hölzer, wie Eiche, Buche und

chemisch behandeltes Holz; Asbest oder asbesthaltige Materialien. Bestimmen Sie die Exposition des

Bedieners und umstehender Personen durch die Gefahrenklasse der Materialien, an denen gearbeitet

wird. Ergreifen Sie die erforderlichen Maßnahmen, um die Exposition auf einem sicheren Niveau zu halten,

wie z. B. die Verwendung eines Staubsammelsystems oder das Tragen eines geeigneten Atemschutzes.

Zu den allgemeinen Maßnahmen zur Verringerung der Exposition gehören:

▶Arbeiten in einem gut belüfteten Bereich,

▶Vermeiden von längerem Kontakt mit Staub,

▶Staub von Gesicht und Körper wegleiten,

▶Tragen von Schutzkleidung und Waschen exponierter Bereiche mit Wasser und Seife.

▶Benutzen Sie für die jeweiligen Anwendung möglichst einen geeigneten, von Hilti empfohlenen Entstau-

ber.

▶Klären Sie vor Arbeitsbeginn die Gefahrenklasse des beim Arbeiten entstehenden Staubgutes ab.

Verwenden Sie einen Entstauber mit einer offiziell zugelassenen Schutzklassifizierung, die Ihren lokalen

Staubschutzbestimmungen entspricht.

▶Verwenden Sie zur Vermeidung elektrostatischer Effekte einen antistatischen Saugschlauch.

▶Achten Sie darauf, dass der Adapter und die Aussenflächen der Werkzeugaufnahme frei von Öl und Fett

sind. Wird das Staubmodul mit öligen und/oder fettigen Teilen montiert, kann das Staubmodul abfallen.

Entfernen Sie Öle und Fette vom Adapter und von den Aussenflächen der Werkzeugaufnahme mit einem

Tuch.

▶Achten Sie darauf, dass das Modul nicht zu heiß wird. Bei Temperaturen über 80 °C schmilzt das

Material.

▶Verwenden Sie das Modul nicht zum Tragen oder Führen des Systems. Verwenden Sie die dafür

vorgesehenen Griffe des Elektrowerkzeugs.

▶Halten Sie das Elektrowerkzeug während des Betriebes nicht am Saugkopf oder Saugrohr.

Das beschriebene Produkt ist ein Staubmodul, das als Zubehör in Verbindung mit Hilti Bohrhämmern

SDSMax und Entstaubern verwendet wird.

5 Bedienung

5.1 Staubmodul montieren 3

Achten Sie darauf, dass der Funktionswahlschalter in der zu den Arbeiten passenden Stellung steht.

Die aus dem Saugkopf herausragende freie Werkzeuglänge darf 145 mm nicht über und 30 mm nicht

unterschreiten. Dadurch gewährleisten Sie eine optimale Staubabsaugung.

Es dürfen nur die in der Übersicht zur Bestimmungsgemäßen Verwendung dargestellten Spitzmeißel,

Flachmeißel, Stockerwerkzeuge, Hammerbohrkronen und Hammerbohrer verwendet werden.

Achten Sie darauf, dass bei der Montage kein Einsatzwerkzeug in das Elektrowerkzeug eingesetzt ist.

1. Öffnen Sie den montierten Zusatzhandgriff vom Elektrowerkzeug.

2. Entfernen Sie den Zusatzhandgriff.

3. Wählen Sie die richtige Zusammenstellung des Saugsystems entsprechend Abbildung zur Bestim-

mungsgemäßen Verwendung → Seite 4 aus und montiern Sie die Teile und den Zusatzhandgriff auf die

Saugbasis.

4. Schieben Sie das montierte System mit Zusatzhandgriff über die Werkzeugaufnahme bis zur Position

des Getriebehalses der Zusatzhandgriffposition.

5. Drehen Sie die Saugbasis und den Zusatzhandgriff in die gewünschte Position.

6. Fixieren Sie den Zusatzhandgriff verdrehsicher durch Festziehen des Griffes.

7. Führen Sie das Werkzeug in die Werkzeugaufnahme ein.

Beachten Sie dazu die Bedienungsanleitung des Elektrowerkzeugs.

8. Verbinden Sie einen Entstauber mit dem Staubmodul.

Zum Hammerbohren führen Sie die nachfolgenden Arbeitsschritte zusätzlich aus.

9. Stellen Sie die Faltenbalglänge so ein, dass die Bohrerspitze ca. 15 mm herausragt.

10. Setzen Sie den Tiefenanschlag ein.

11. Stellen Sie den Tiefenanschlag auf die gewünschte Bohrtiefe ein.

12. Sichern Sie den Tiefenanschlag mit der Sterngriffschraube gegen Verrutschen.

5.2 Staubmodul demontieren 4

VORSICHT

Verletzungsgefahr durch Einsatzwerkzeug! Das Einsatzwerkzeug kann heiß oder scharfkantig sein.

▶Tragen Sie Schutzhandschuhe beim Wechsel des Einsatzwerkzeuges.

1. Trennen Sie den Entstauber vom Staubmodul.

2. Entfernen Sie das Einsatzwerkzeug aus der Werkzeugaufnahme.

3. Öffnen Sie die Halterung des Zusatzhandgriffs durch Drehen am Griff.

4. Ziehen Sie das Staubmodul nach vorne vom Elektrowerkzeug ab.

5. Demontieren Sie den Zusatzhandgriff vom Staubmodul.

6. Montieren Sie den Zusatzhandgriff am Elektrowerkzeug.

7. Fixieren Sie den Zusatzhandgriff durch Drehen am Griff.

5.3 Betrieb

Achten Sie darauf, dass der Funktionswahlschalter in der zu der Arbeit passenden Stellung steht.

Beachten Sie die Bedienungsanleitung des Entstaubers. Entleeren Sie regelmäßig den Entstauber.

1. Schließen Sie den Entstauber an und schalten Sie den Entstauber ein.

2. Schalten Sie das Elektrowerkzeug ein.

6 Pflege und Instandhaltung

6.1 Pflege des Moduls

WARNUNG

Gefahr durch elektrischen Schlag! Pflege und Instandhaltung mit eingestecktem Netzstecker können zu

schweren Verletzungen und Verbrennungen führen.

▶Vor allen Pflege- und Instandhaltungsarbeiten immer den Netzstecker ziehen!

Verwenden Sie keine Öle oder Fette oder Reinigungsmittel.

Reinigen Sie das Gehäuse nur mit einem leicht angefeuchteten Tuch. Verwenden Sie keine

silikonhaltigen Pflegemittel, da diese die Kunststoffteile angreifen können.

1. Entfernen Sie festanhaftenden Schmutz und prüfen Sie, ob die Absaugöffnung in der Saugbasis frei von

Staubrückständen ist.

2. Reinigen Sie das Modul in regelmäßigen Abständen mit kaltem Wasser.

Das Modul muss vor der nächsten Benutzung komplett getrocknet sein, um eine Anhaftung von

Staub zu vermeiden.

3. Reinigen Sie regelmäßig die Innenseiten der Adapter von Fett und Staubrückständen.

6.2 Instandhaltung

▶Prüfen Sie regelmäßig alle außenliegenden Teile des Produkts und des Zubehörs auf Beschädigungen

und alle Bedienungselemente auf einwandfreie Funktion. Betreiben Sie das Produkt nicht, wenn Teile

beschädigt sind oder Bedienelemente nicht einwandfrei funktionieren.

7 Hilfe bei Störungen

Bei Störungen, die nicht in dieser Tabelle aufgeführt sind oder die Sie nicht selbst beheben können, wenden

Sie sich bitte an unseren Hilti Service.

2.1 Safety instructions

WARNING Study all safety instructions and other instructions, images and technical data with

which this product is provided. Failure to observe the instructions below can result in electric shock, fire

and/or serious injury.

Keep all safety precautions and instructions for future reference.

The term “power tool” used in the safety precautions refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or

battery-operated (cordless) power tool.

▶Study the operating instructions and the safety-relevant information for the system products prior

to use and comply with them always.

▶Use the module only in combination with the power tools stated in the section headed Intended use

→ page 10, otherwise there is a risk of injury.

▶Disconnect the plug from the power outlet or remove a removable battery before making any adjustments,

changing accessories, or putting away the power tool. This precaution reduces the risk of the power tool

starting accidentally.

▶Use the product and accessories only when they are in perfect working order.

▶Never tamper with or modify the product or accessories in any way.

▶Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating the product. Do not use

the product while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of

inattention while operating the product can result in serious injury.

▶Working on the material may cause it to splinter. Flying fragments present a risk of injury to the eyes and

body. Wear eye protection, a hard hat and ear protection while the product is in use.

▶Use power tools, accessories, insert tools, etc. in accordance with these instructions. Take the working

conditions and the work to be performed into account. Use of power tools for applications other than

those intended can result in hazardous situations.

▶Risk of injury by falling tools and/or accessories. Before starting work, check that installed accessories

are secure.

▶Vacuuming water is prohibited.

▶Do not use the module to vacuum up substances that present a risk of explosion, glowing, burning or

flammable substances, aggressive dusts (e.g. magnesium or aluminum dust) and liquids (e.g. gasoline,

solvents, acids, coolant/lubricants).

▶Dust produced by grinding, sanding, cutting and drilling can contain dangerous chemicals. Some

examples are: lead or lead-based paints; brick, concrete and other masonry products, natural stone

and other products containing silicates; certain types of wood, such as oak, beech and chemically

treated wood; asbestos or materials that contain asbestos. Determine the exposure of the operator and

bystanders by means of the hazard classification of the materials to be worked. Implement the necessary

measures to restrict exposure to a safe level, for example by the use of a dust collection system or by

the wearing of suitable respiratory protection. The general measures for reducing exposure include:

▶working in an area that is well ventilated,

▶avoidance of prolonged contact with dust,

▶directing dust away from the face and body,

▶wearing protective clothing and washing exposed areas of the skin with water and soap.

▶Whenever possible, use a Hilti-recommended dust extractor suitable for the application.

▶Before beginning the work, check the hazard classification of the dust that will be produced. Use a dust

extractor with an officially approved protection classification in compliance with locally applicable dust

protection regulations.

▶Use an anti-static suction hose in order to avoid electrostatic effects.

▶Make sure that the adapter and the outside surfaces of the tool holder are free of oil and grease. If

the dust removal module is installed with oily and/or greasy parts, the dust removal module can fall off.

Remove oil and grease from the adapter and from the outside surfaces of the tool holder with a cloth.

▶Make sure that the module does not get too hot. The material will melt at temperatures above 80 °C.

▶Do not use the module as a grip for carrying or guiding the system. The power tool has grips designed

for this purpose; use these grips.

▶When the power tool is in operation, do not hold it by the suction head or the suction tube.

The product described is a dust removal module that is used as an accessory in combination with Hilti

SDSMax rotary hammer drills and dust extractors.

5 Operation

5.1 Fitting the dust removal module 3

Make sure that the function selector switch is in the position appropriate to the work to be done.

The exposed length of the accessory tool projecting from the suction head must be no more than 145

mm and no less than 30 mm. This will ensure optimum dust extraction.

Use only the pointed chisels, flat chisels, bushing tools, percussion core bits and hammer drill bits

shown in the overview for the intended use.

When installing, make sure that there is no accessory tool inserted in the power tool.

1. Open the auxiliary handle installed on the power tool.

2. Remove the auxiliary handle.

3. Select the correct configuration of the suction system in accordance with the illustration for the intended

use → page 10 and install the parts and the auxiliary handle on the suction base.

4. Push the assembled system, complete with the auxiliary handle, over the tool holder to the position of

the gearing section/auxiliary handle position.

5. Turn the suction base and the auxiliary handle to the desired position.

6. Turn the grip to secure the auxiliary handle so that it cannot twist out of position.

7. Insert the accessory tool into the tool holder.

Comply with the operating instructions of the power tool.

8. Connect a dust extractor to the dust removal module.

For hammer drilling, perform the following steps in addition.

9. Adjust the length of the bellows gaiter so that the tip of the drill bit projects about 15 mm.

10. Adjust the depth gauge.

11. Adjust the depth gauge to the desired drilling depth.

12. Secure the depth gauge by tightening the star-grip screw so that the depth gauge cannot slip.

5.2 Removing dust removal module 4

CAUTION

Risk of injury by the accessory tool! The accessory tool might be hot or have sharp edges.

▶Wear protective gloves when changing the accessory tool.

1. Separate the dust extractor from the dust removal module.

2. Remove the accessory tool from the tool holder.

3. Release the auxiliary handle clamping band by turning the grip.

4. Work the dust removal module forward and off the power tool.

5. Remove the auxiliary handle from the dust removal module.

6. Install the auxiliary handle on the power tool.

7. Secure the auxiliary handle by turning the grip.

5.3 Operation

Make sure that the function selector switch is in the position appropriate to the work to be done.

Comply with the operating instructions for the dust extractor. Empty the dust extractor at regular

intervals.

1. Connect the dust extractor and switch the dust extractor on.

2. Switch on the power tool.

6 Care and maintenance

6.1 Care of the module

WARNING

Electric shock hazard! Attempting care and maintenance with the supply cord connected to a power outlet

can lead to severe injury and burns.

▶Always unplug the supply cord before carrying out care and maintenance tasks.

Do not use oils, greases or cleaning agents.

Use only a slightly damp cloth to clean the housing. Do not use cleaning agents containing silicone as

these can attack the plastic parts.

1. Wipe off foreign matter adhering to the unit and check that the extraction opening in the suction base is

free of dust residues.

2. Clean the module with cold water at regular intervals.

To prevent dust from adhering, the module has to be dried thoroughly before being used again.

3. Regularly remove grease and dust residues from the inside faces of the adapters.

6.2 Maintenance

▶Check all external parts of the product and the accessories for damage at regular intervals and check

that all controls operate faultlessly. Do not use the product if parts are damaged or if operating controls

do not function faultlessly.

7 Troubleshooting

If the trouble you are experiencing is not listed in this table or you are unable to remedy the problem by

yourself, please contact Hilti Service.

8 Disposal

Most of the materials from which Hilti tools and appliances are manufactured can be recycled. The

materials must be correctly separated before they can be recycled. In many countries, your old tools,

machines or appliances can be returned to Hilti for recycling. Ask Hilti Service or your Hilti representative

for further information.

▶Do not dispose of power tools, electronic equipment or batteries as household waste!
