• While breastfeeding.
• If the skin to be treated is darker than MAT skin type in the PRECAUTION OF USE / STEP 1 table on the
back cover.
• Exposure to the sun or to a U.V. machine, or self-tanning or scrub product following the indications in
the PRECAUTION OF USE / STEP 2 table on the back cover.
• If the area is dark, if there are birth marks, brown or black spots.
• If there is a tattoo or permanent make-up on the area to be treated.
• On the face, the neck and the nipples, and over all pigmented areas such as pubic labia and between
the buttocks.
• For scalp hair.
• On the same part of your skin more than once a week.
• An abnormal state of your skin in the region to be treated: red or pigmented birth marks, brown and
black spots on the skin such as freckles or moles.
• On dried or sensitive skin due to chemical, glycolic acid or AHA-peels.
• Near a piercing: generally, remove any piercing before using this appliance.
• Eczema, psoriasis, healing lesions or progressive infection in the area to be treated. You must wait for
the affected area to heal before using the appliance.
• An abnormal skin pigmentation (e.g. vitiligo or albinism)
• An abnormal condition of the skin caused by diabetes, e.g., or by other systemic or metabolic disease.
• If there are antecedents of herpes attack (cold sore) in the area to be treated, unless a doctor has been
consulted and a preventive treatment has been received before using the appliance.
• On areas with silicone implants, a pace maker, a urinary incontinence implant, an insulin pump or any
metal implant.
• In case of pathology linked to photo-sensitivity (e.g. : porphyria, polymorphic light eruption, solar
urticaria, lupus, etc.) or caused by medication during the last three months.
• Medical treatment for acne or other skin diseases such as oral isotretinoin (Roaccutane®); medication
containing topical retinoids leading to increased sensitivity to light such as tretinoin (rétinA®); vitamin
A, carotenoid or beta carotene during the last two months.
• Minocycline or other medication containing tetracycline, during the preceding month. This medication
list is not exhaustive, please ask your doctor if you are taking any treatment.
• Diet containing steroids such as cortisone, during the last three months.
• 14 days after a microdermabrasion treatment.
• If you are already following other treatments for reducing skin hair.
• Skin cancer antecedents or areas with malignant skin tumours
• Radiotherapy or chemotherapy during the last three months.
• Immunosuppressive treatment.
• Epilepsy.
