1. SAFETY SUMMARY

Hitachi cannot ancipate every possible circumstance that might involve a potenal

hazard.

!DANGER

Perform electrical work according to the Installaon Manual. As for the electrical wiring work

and check, turn OFF the main power supply before opening/closing the service cover of indoor

unit. If service cover is opened with main power supply le on, it may result in an electrical

shock.

!CAUTION

• DO NOT pour water into the remote controller. This product is equipped with electrical parts. If

poured, it will cause a serious electrical shock.

• DO NOT perform installaon work and electrical wiring connecon by yourself. Contact your

Hitachi distributor or dealer and ask them for installaon work and electrical wiring by a service

person.

• DO NOT install the product in places where oil vapour or oil are dispersed, in the vicinity of hot

springs (in a sulfuric environment), where the generaon, ow, accumulaon or leakage of

ammable gas is detected, or in salty, acid or alkaline environments.

• DO NOT install the controller and its cables within approximately 3 meters from strong electro

magnec wave radiators such as medical equipment. In case that the controller is installed

in a place where there is electromagnec wave radiaon, shield the controller and cables by

covering them with a steel box and running the cable through a metal conduit tube.

NOTE

• The installer and system specialist shall comply with local regulaons or standards for safety.

The following standards may be applicable, if local regulaons are not in force: Internaonal

Organizaon for Standardizaon, ISO5149 or European Standard, EN378 or Japan Standard,

KHKS0010.

• This appliance must be used only by adult and capable people, having received the technical

informaon or instrucons to handle it properly and safely.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Important: Please read and understand this manual before using this remote controller.

If you have any quesons, contact your Hitachi distributor or dealer.

2. INSTALLATION

Select a suitable place for operaon and determine the installaon place of the

controller with the customer’s acceptance.

Do not install the controller in a place where it is at the reach of children.

The controller has a built-in thermistor; do not install it in places where it may

become excessively aected by other equipment, such as indoor units, water pipes,

radiators, etc. Select an installaon place where the average room temperature

can be detected, where the remote control is not directly exposed to the sun or

heat sources, and where it is not aected by outdoor air currents from opening and

closing doors.

Prior to the installaon work, ensure that surface is at and suciently strong and

then x the unit securely.

Check the contents and the quanty of the accessories in the packing.

When arranging the wired remote controller and other controllers vercally, place

them at least 2 inches (50mm) apart. (iii).

2.1 Installaon Procedure

1. Insert the edge of the sloed screwdriver into the groove at the boom of the

holding bracket, push and turn the sloed screwdriver to separate and remove

the controller from the holding bracket.

NOTE

Do not insert the sloed screwdriver into the tab part beside the groove. The tab may be dam

aged and the wired remote controller cannot be installed.

2. Aach the controller to the holding bracket and connect the cable as follows:

• In Case of Exposing the Controller Cable

Fix the holding bracket onto the wall with screws (accessory). (v)

Aach the stopper (plasc band) to the cable at the inner side of the draw-out

hole.

✓D - Draw-out hole

✓E - Plug the connector of the connecng wire into the CN1.

✓F - Connect wire stuck in the slot.

Aach the stopper (plasc band) to the cable at the inner side of the draw-out

hole.

• When Using Juncon Box (vii)

✓Prepare the oponal eld-supplied Implanted Juncon Box.

✓Feed the cable through the conduit tubing in the wall.

✓Connect the accessory cable to the eld-supplied cable by soldering. Insu-

late the connecng part with tape. (G)

✓Secure the holding bracket to the juncon box with M4 screws.

3. Aach the controller body to the mounted holding bracket. Be careful not to

pinch the cable when aaching it.

4. Aer installaon, peel away the protecve lm from the LCD screen. (viii)

3. ELECTRICAL WIRING

!DANGER

Always make sure to turn o the power of the indoor unit when performing electrical wiring

work. Performing electrical wiring work with the power turned on can damage the circuit

boards of the indoor unit and the remote control switch.

NOTE

• Use a 0.3 to 0.75 mm2 cable for connecon. The maximum total cable length is:

✓If 3 controllers (Unit + 2 zone thermostats) are installed: 25 m each one, for a combined

maximum of 75 m.

✓If 2 controllers (Unit + 1 zone thermostats) are installed: 50 m each one, for a combined

maximum of 100 m.

✓If 1 controller (Unit) is installed: up to 100 m.

• If total cable length exceeds 30 m, use a twist pair cable with shield tube (1P  0.75 mm2). The

use of cables other than those specied above can cause malfuncon due to the eect of noise.

• Keep a clearance of more than 30 cm between the transmission line (remote control switch

cable and transmission wires) and the power source of indoor units. Otherwise, the heat pump

may not operate properly or malfuncon may occur due to the eect of power source noise.

• Refer to the documentaon provided with each unit for the proper sengs when performing

electrical wiring work between the remote control switch and the indoor units.

• No gap shall exist between the remote control switch cable and the hole of the remote control

switch case. If there is a gap, cover the gap with vinyl tape. Otherwise, malfuncon may occur

due to the entrance of water droplets or insects.

• In case of seng up two or more remote control switches (Main and Subs), follow the contents

of the supplied technical documentaon of the indoor units in order to select the appropriate

funcons in the main and sub remote control switches. Upon compleon of sengs, turn o

the power supply of all the indoor units connected to the remote control switches.

sconecte la alimentación principal antes de abrir la tapa de servicio de la unidad interior para

!PRECAUCIÓN

• No vierta agua sobre el mando a distancia. El disposivo está equipado con componentes

eléctricos. Si vierte agua, se puede producir una descarga eléctrica grave.

• No realice por sí mismo tareas de instalación ni de cableado eléctrico. Póngase en contacto con

su distribuidor o proveedor de Hitachi para solicitar que personal de servicio cualicado realice

los trabajos de instalación y de cableado eléctrico.

• No instale el producto en lugares donde haya vapores de aceite o el aceite se disperse, en las

cercanías de fuentes de calor (en ambientes sulfúricos), donde se detecte generación, circu-

lación, acumulación o fugas de gases inamables o en entornos salinos, ácidos o alcalinos.

• No instale el controlador y sus cables a menos de 3 metros aproximadamente de fuertes

radiaciones de ondas electromagnécas como las generadas por equipos médicos. En caso de

que el controlador se instale en un lugar en el que se produzcan radiaciones de ondas electro-

magnécas deberá protegerlo cubriéndolo con la caja de acero y pasando el cable a través del

conducto metálico.

NOTA

• El instalador y el técnico del sistema deberán cumplir con la normava local y de seguridad. En

caso de que no exista reglamento local se podrán aplicar las siguientes normas: Organización

Internacional para la Normalización, ISO5149 o Norma Europea, EN378 o Norma Japonesa,

KHKS0010.

• Este disposivo debe ulizarlo únicamente un adulto o una persona responsable que haya

recibido formación o instrucciones técnicas sobre cómo manipularlo de forma correcta y segura.

• Vigile que los niños no jueguen con el disposivo.

• Importante: lea atentamente este manual antes de ulizar este mando a distancia.

2. INSTALACIÓN

Elija el lugar apropiado para el funcionamiento del disposivo y determine el lugar

de la instalación con el consenmiento del cliente.

No instale el controlador en lugares al alcance de los niños.

INSTALACIÓN

El controlador dispone de un termistor integrado; no lo instale en lugares en los que

pueda resultar afectado por otros equipos como unidades interiores, tuberías de

agua, radiadores, etc. Seleccione un lugar en el que se pueda detectar la temper-

atura ambiente media, donde no esté directamente expuesto a fuentes de calor o a

radiaciones solares, y donde no se vea afectado por corrientes de aire generadas al

abrir y cerrar puertas.

Antes de iniciar la instalación, asegúrese de que la supercie sea plana y lo sucien-

temente resistente y je la unidad de forma segura.

Compruebe el contenido y el buen estado de los accesorios incluidos en el paquete.

✓(ii) A - Mando a distancia para controlar el funcionamiento

✓B - 2 tornillos M4x16L para jar el soporte a la pared o a la unidad

✓C - Un manual de instrucciones

✓D - Cable de conexión (300 mm de longitud)

Cuando coloque el mando a distancia con cableado junto con otros mandos ver-

calmente, colóquelos al menos a 2 pulgadas (50 mm) de distancia. (iii).

2.1 Procedimiento de instalación

1. Inserte el extremo del destornillador plano en las hendiduras de la parte inferior

del soporte, empuje y gire el destornillador y rere el mando a distancia del

soporte.

✓(iv) A - Hendiduras

✓B - 6 mm aprox.

✓C - Destornillador

✓D - Vista inferior

✓E - Montaje en pared

✓F - Pestañas para jar el mando

NOTA

No inserte el destornillador plano en la parte de la pestaña junto a la hendidura. La pestaña

podría resultar dañada y el mando a distancia con cableado no se podría instalar.

2. Fije el mando al soporte y conecte el cable como se indica a connuación:

• En caso de exposición del cable del mando a distancia

Monte el soporte en la pared ulizando los tornillos (accesorio). (v)

✓C - Brida de tope (suministrada por el instalador)

✓D - Oricio perforable

✓E - Enchufe el conector del cable de conexión en el CN1.

✓F - Inserte el cable de conexión en la ranura.

CABLEADO ELÉCTRICO

Fije el tope (brida) al cable en el interior del oricio perforable.

• Cuando se uliza una caja de conexión

✓Prepare la caja de conexión suministrada por el instalador.

✓Pase el cable a través del conducto de la pared.

✓Conecte el cable accesorio al cable suministrado de campo mediante solda-

dura. Aísle la parte de conexión con cinta adhesiva. (G)

✓Fije el soporte a la caja de conexiones con tornillos M4.

3. Sujete el cuerpo del mando al soporte que está montado. Tenga cuidado de no

pellizcar el cable cuando lo coloque.

4. Tras la instalación, rere la cinta protectora de la pantalla LCD. (viii)

3. CABLEADO ELÉCTRICO

!PELIGRO

Asegúrese de desconectar la unidad interior siempre que realice trabajos de cableado eléctrico.

En caso contrario se podrían dañar los circuitos impresos de la unidad interior y del mando a

distancia.

NOTA

• Ulice un cable de 0,3 a 0,75 mm2 para la conexión. La longitud máxima del cable es:

✓En caso de tres controladores instalados (unidad + 2 termostatos de zona): 25 m cada uno,

75 m para el total de la combinación.

✓En caso de dos controladores instalados (unidad + 1 termostato de zona): 50 m cada uno,

100 m para el total de la combinación.

✓En caso de un controlador instalado (unidad): hasta 100 m.

• Si la longitud total del cable supera los 30 m

ulice un cable de par trenzado blindado

(1P - 0,75mm2). El uso de cables disntos a los detallados anteriormente puede provocar un

funcionamiento anómalo por los efectos del ruido.

• Mantenga una distancia de más de 30 cm entre la línea de transmisión (cable del mando a

distancia y cables de transmisión) y la fuente de alimentación de las unidades interiores. De lo

contrario, la bomba de calor podría funcionar de forma incorrecta debido al ruido de la fuente

de alimentación.

NOMBRES Y FUNCIONES DE LOS BOTONES

• Consulte la documentación proporcionada con cada unidad para que la conexión eléctrica entre

el mando a distancia y las unidades interiores sea correcta.

• El cable del mando a distancia debe quedar ajustado en el agujero de la caja. Para evitar holgu-

ras puede cubrirlo con cinta de vinilo. De lo contrario podrían entrar gotas de agua o insectos y

provocar un mal funcionamiento.

• Si se ajustan dos o más mandos a distancia (principal y secundarios), consulte la documentación

técnica de las unidades interiores para seleccionar las funciones adecuadas en los mandos a

distancia principal y secundarios. Una vez completada la conguración, apague la fuente de

alimentación de todas las unidades interiores conectadas al mando a distancia.

1. SICHERHEITSÜBERSICHT

Hitachi kann nicht alle möglichen Umstände voraussehen, die potenelle Gefahren-

quellen bergen können.

!GEFAHR

Führen Sie die Verkabelung gemäß dem Installaonshandbuch aus. Schalten Sie wie bei den Ar-

beiten an der Verkabelung und Prüfung die elektrische Stromversorgung aus, bevor Sie die War-

tungsklappe des Innengeräts önen/schließen. Wenn die Wartungsklappe bei angeschalteter

Stromversorgung geönet ist, kann dies zu Stromschlägen führen.

!VORSICHT

• Lassen Sie KEIN Wasser in die Fernbedienung eindringen. Dieses Gerät enthält elektrische

Komponenten. Das Eindringen von Wasser verursacht ernsthae Stromschläge.

• Führen Sie Installaonsarbeiten und die Kabelanschlüsse NICHT selbst aus. Die Installaonsar-

beit und der Kabelanschluss werden auf Anfrage bei Ihrem Hitachi-Fach- oder Vertragshändler

von qualiziertem Fachpersonal durchgeführt.

• Installieren Sie die Steuerung NICHT an Orten, an denen Öldämpfe bzw. Öle austreten, in der

Nähe von heißen Quellen (in einer schwefelhalgen Umgebungslu), an Orten, an denen

entzündbare Gase gebildet werden, zirkulieren, vorhanden sind oder entweichen, und nicht in

salzhalgen, säurehalgen oder alkalinen Umgebungen.

• Installieren Sie die Fernbedienung und Kabel MINDESTENS 3 Meter von starken elektromag-

neschen Strahlungsquellen, wie z. B. medizinischem Gerät, enernt. Falls die Fernbedienung

in einer Umgebung installiert wird, in der sie elektromagneschen Strahlungen ausgesetzt ist,

schirmen Sie die Fernbedienung mithilfe eines Stahlgehäuses ab und verlegen Sie die Kabel

durch eine Metallkabelführung.

HINWEIS

• Der Installateur und Systemexperte sollte die örtlichen Vorschrien oder Sicherheitsnormen

erfüllen. Die folgenden Normen können ggf. angewandt werden, wenn keine örtlichen Vorschrif-

ten gelten: Internaonale Organisaon für Standardisierung, ISO5149 oder Europäische Norm,

EN378 oder Japanische Norm, KHKS0010.

• Dieses Gerät darf nur von Erwachsenen und befähigten Personen betrieben werden, die zuvor

2. INSTALLATION

Wählen Sie in Absprache mit dem Kunden einen für die Installaon der Fernbedi-

enung geeigneten Platz aus.

Installieren Sie die Steuerung nicht innerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern.

Die Steuerung ist mit einem eingebauten Thermistor ausgestaet. Installieren Sie

die Steuerung nicht an Orten, wo der Thermistor durch andere Geräte wie z. B.

Innengeräte, Wasserrohre, Radiatoren usw. beeinträchgt werden kann. Wählen

Sie einen Installaonsort, an dem die durchschniliche Raumtemperatur erkannt

werden kann, an dem die Fernbedienung nicht dem direkten Sonnenlicht oder

sonsgen Wärmequellen ausgesetzt ist und an dem die Fernbedienung nicht von

äußeren Luströmen durch das Önen und Schließen von Türen beeinträchgt

wird.

Stellen Sie vor der Installaon sicher, dass der Untergrund eben und ausreichend

tragfähig ist, und befesgen Sie dann das Gerät auf eine sichere Weise.

Überprüfen Sie Inhalt und Menge der Zubehörteile in der Verpackung.

✓(ii) A - Fernbedienung für Betriebssteuerung

✓B - 2 M4x16 Schrauben zum Befesgen der Halterung an der Wand

Wenn Sie die Kabelfernbedienung und die anderen Steuerungen verkal anordnen,

platzieren Sie sie mit einem Abstand von mindestens 50 mm (2 inches). (iii).

2.1 Installaonsverfahren

1. Die Klinge des Schlitzschraubendrehers in den Schlitz am unteren Teil der

Halterung einführen. Dann den Schlitzschraubendreher drehen, um die Fernbe-

dienung aus der Halterung zu enernen.

✓F - Laschen zur Befesgung der Steuerung

HINWEIS

Führen Sie den Schlitzschraubendreher nicht in den Laschenteil neben dem Schlitz ein. Die Lasche

kann beschädigt werden und die Kabelfernbedienung kann nicht installiert werden.

2. Die Fernbedienung an der Halterung befesgen und das Kabel wie folgt an-

schließen:

• Bei freiliegendem Fernbedienungskabel

Die Halterung mit Schrauben (Zubehör) an der Wand befesgen. (v)

✓C - Kabelbinder (nicht mitgeliefert)

✓D - Abzugsbohrung

✓E - Den Stecker des Anschlusskabels in CN1 einstecken.

✓F - Stecken Sie das Kabel in den Schlitz.
