Instructions for Use

Safety and Usage Tips

Intended Use

The NP100 mattress benefits are pressure ulcers prevention help. It

is suitable for low to moderate risk adult patients, within a

recommended weight range of 30 kg and 150 kg.

Environment

It can be used as a mattress in the following environments, as

defined in the standard IEC 60601-2-52:

• Application environment 1 (acute care);

• Application environment 2 (short-term care in hospitals or

other medical establishments);

• Application environment 3 (long-term care in medical

establishments);

• Application environment 5 (outpatients or ambulatory care).

Contraindications

The NP100 mattress is not designed to come into direct contact

with damaged skin and it is not suited to patients with atypical

anatomies.

Intended Users

The NP series mattresses are designed to be used by

Qualified Staff

for patient care from several care application environments

First Use

Hill-Rom recommends that the mattress be disinfected before first

use.

User Instructions

Carefully read all the instructions. Failure to do so could result

in equipment damage and injury.

Before Placing the Patient on the Mattress

Remove the NP100 mattress from its polyethylene packaging.

Take care not to damage the mattress with scissors or cutters.

Check that the zip fastener is fully closed.

Store the mattress at ambient temperature (18 to 20°C) for at least

24 hours.

Make sure that the mattress is correctly installed and well centered

on the sleep surface.

Cover the mattress with a sheet to avoid direct contact between

the patient’s skin and the surface of the mattress.

Complying with Conditions for Use

Supervision is advisable if the top edge of the siderail is less

than 22 cm above the mattress.

It is recommended that when the patient is left

unattended the bed be left in the lowest position.

Failure to properly assess the fit of the NP100 mattress and

bed frames could result in the risk of entrapment which

may cause serious injury or death.

If necessary, place a plate between the patient and the

mattress when performing cardio-pulmonary reanimation

(external heart massage).

Safe Working Load is the greatest permissible

load that can be applied after which a damage

may occur on the mattress.

Safe working load, including the total weight

of the patient, accessories and the load

supported by these accessories.

Transferring the Mattress from one Bed to

Another

Never leave the patient on the mattress during transfer.

Make sure that the bed chassis brakes are applied to prevent any

accidental movements.

If the mattress has handles, use them to transfer the mattress more

easily.

While handling the mattress, all necessary precautions must be

taken to avoid any damage.

Do not work on the device when it is occupied.

Cleaning and Disinfecting

Cleaning and disinfection are two separate procedures.

Complying with Safety Instructions

• Check that the brakes are applied on the bed on which the

mattress is installed.

• Lock out all electric functions.

• Never clean the mattress by pouring water on it, nor with a

high-pressure jet.

• Never use water at a temperature of more than 70°C.

• Refer to the recommendations of the cleaning and

disinfecting of the product provided by the manufacturer.

• Thoroughly dry the mattress before reusing it.

• Suitable individual protective equipment must be worn

during the steps of the cleaning operation (blouse, gloves, eye

protection, etc.).

Failure to implement one or more of these recommendations

may lead to damage or deterioration, preventing use of the

device and rendering the warranty void.

Infection Control

Insufficient Cleaning = Risk of Infection

(biological danger)!

All parts must be kept clean at all times in order to avoid the risk of

infection. All necessary precautions must be taken to eliminate all

visible soiling.

The following recommendations are not designed to replace

cleaning and disinfection protocols drawn up by the hygien

officer or by other bodies for your hospital in the event of

particular infectious situations.

Complying with Manufacturer Recommendations

The cleaning and disinfecting method described below applies

specifically to the mattress and its accessories and is designed to

save time and to help combat nosocomial infection more

effectively.

Hill-Rom recommends that the mattress be disinfected before

first use.

When cleaning, always check the cover for cuts, tears, cracks

or snags; never use a mattress with a damaged cover.

If the internal foam of the mattress is soiled and presents a

risk of infection, then replace the mattress.

Following other cleaning and disinfection protocols or using

other products than those recommended by

Hill-Rom may compromise devices and patient safety, and

void the warranty.

De-commissioning

Hill-Rom recommends that the mattress should be disinfected

before de-commissioning

Customers should adhere to all federal, state, regional, and/or local

laws and regulations as it pertains to the safe disposal of medical

devices and accessories. If in doubt, the user of the device shall first

contact Hill-Rom Technical Support for guidance on safe disposal

protocols.

Products To Be Avoided

Never use cleaning agents, detergents, degreasing agents or

industrial solvents containing any of the following products in

order to avoid damaging the mattress:

Do not use highly acidic detergents or disinfectants (pH<4).

Do not use highly basic detergents or disinfectants (pH>10).

Never use abrasive cleaning products or materials, such as

scouring pads.

Cleaning and Disinfecting after the Departure of a

Patient or when Changing the Sheets

Using Recommended Products

Terralin® Protect (Schülke)1

Concentration: 5 ml/l (= 0.5%), contact time: 1 h.

Cleaning

Clean the mattress with a cloth slightly dampened

with hot water and a neutral detergent solution.

Check that the solution does not contain any of the

products to be avoided mentioned above.

Cleaning Tough Stains

Quickly wipe away any traces of pharmaceutical solutions used for

the patients to avoid permanent damage to the surface.

• Remove tough stains with a soft brush and neutral detergents

or a chlorine-based solution with a concentration less than or

equal to 1,000 ppm or 10,000 ppm according to labeling.

• To eliminate hardened stains (excreta, other forms of soiling),

soften them by soaking and take care to thoroughly dry the

cover before putting it back on the mattress.

Disinfecting

In the event of visible soiling, Hill-Rom recommends that the

mattress should be disinfected with an intermediate disinfectant

(tuberculocidal) that complies with the applicable regulations (e.g.

with the requirements of regulation

2017/745/EEC).

For all other disinfectants:

Proceed with the final steps before reusing the cleaned and

disinfected mattress (See “Performing the Final Steps”, page 3).

Cleaning and Disinfecting at Regular Intervals or in

the Event of High Risk of Contamination

Follow the same instructions as above (See “Cleaning and

Disinfecting after the Departure of a Patient or when Changing the

Sheets”, page 2), but with the products listed below.

Using Recommended Products

After the departure of patients with infectious diseases:

• Dismozon® Pur (Bode)1

Concentration: 40 g/l (= 4%), contact time: 1 h

After the departure of patients with Clostridium Difficile:

• Dismozon® Pur

Dry Steam Cleaning the Mattress

Dry steam or superheated steam contains no more than 6% of

water in suspension and avoids the effects of condensation.

To avoid damage due to high pressure or an abnormal surface

temperature, take the following precautions:

• Do not use accessories such as high pressure hoses (A). It is

preferable to use soft non-metallic brushes (B) and wipers (C)

in such a way as to reduce the pressure to an acceptable level.

• Do not brush and apply reduced pressure to labels and

markings.

• Dry carefully and look for signs of water ingress before reusing.

Hill-Rom recommends the use of the Sanivap® method:

• Application time recommended by the supplier:

approximately 1 sec.

• Distance (recommended by the supplier) between the source

and the surface to be disinfected:

approximately 3 mm.

• Application: exterior parts of the mattress (covers).

• Frequency: for each new patient.

Machine Washing the Mattress Cover

Do not always machine-wash, as doing so will reduce the life time

of the components. Machine-wash only if particular risks of

infection occur.

Reinstalling the cover

When reassembling the cover after machine washing, make

sure to match with the associated foam (See “Mattress / foam /

cover combinations”, page 3).

Orientate properly the cover on the foam regarding the

marking located on the foam in the feet area toward the top.

Performing the Final Steps

• Always remove all traces of the products used when washing

or disinfecting the mattress.

• Make sure that all the parts of the mattress are perfectly dry

before installing to avoid any risk of condensation forming

inside the mattress.

Complying with

Conditions for Transport and

Storage

*Applicable only if the mattress is transported or stored in its original

packaging.

The mattress must be stored in its original packaging:

• Protected against light and damp;

• At least 10 cm above floor level to prevent fluid ingress;

• Protected against dust;

• Outside passageways.

Never stack more than 15 mattresses.

Specifications

The NP100 mattress must only be used with the covers mentioned

in the Spare Parts list (See “Spare Parts”, page 4).

Instructions d’utilisation

Sécurité/précautions générales d’utilisation

Usage revendiqué

Le matelas NP100 facilite la prévention des escarres. Il convient

aux patients adultes présentant un risque faible à modéré et

dont le poids est compris entre 30 kg et 150 kg.

Indications

Il peut être utilisé comme matelas dans les environnements

suivants tels que définis par la norme CEI 60601-2-52 :

• environnement d‘application 1 (soins aigus) ;

• environnement d‘application 2 (soins de courte durée dispensés

dans un hôpital ou autre infrastructure médicale) ;

• environnement d‘application 3 (soins de longue durée

dispensés dans une infrastructure médicale) ;

• environnement d’application 5 (soins externes ou

ambulatoires).

Contre-indications

Le matelas NP100 ne convient pas aux patients présentant une

anatomie atypique et il n‘est pas conçu pour entrer en contact

direct avec la peau lésée.

Utilisateurs prévus

Les matelas NP sont conçus pour être utilisé par les utilisateurs

expérimentés, des utilisateurs de base dans les différents

environnements d’application de soins et les patients.

Première mise en service

Hill-Rom recommande de désinfecter le matelas NP50 avant sa

première utilisation.

Consignes d’utilisation

Lire attentivement toutes les consignes. Le non-respect de

cette recommandation peut exposer à des dommages

matériels et corporels.

Avant de placer le patient sur le matelas

Retirer le matelas NP100 de son emballage en polyéthylène. En cas

d'utilisation de ciseaux ou de cutter, veiller à ne pas l’endommager.

Vérifier que la fermeture éclaire est entièrement fermée.

Ranger le matelas à température ambiante (18 à 20 °C) pendant au

moins 24 heures.

Veiller à la bonne installation du matelas, notamment au centrage

sur le plan de couchage.

Recouvrir le matelas d’un drap pour éviter le contact direct de la

peau du patient avec la surface du matelas.

Se conformer aux conditions d’utilisation

Une surveillance est recommandée si le bord supérieur

de la barrière se trouve à moins de 22 cm au-dessus du

matelas.

Lorsque le patient est laissé sans surveillance, il est

recommandé de placer le lit dans la position la plus

basse.

Une mauvaise évaluation de la mise en place du

matelas NP100 et des cadres de lit peut entraîner des

blessures graves, voire mortelles.

Si nécessaire, placer une planche entre le patient et le

matelas pour effectuer une réanimation

cardiopulmonaire (massage cardiaque externe).

Transférer le matelas d’un lit à un autre

Ne jamais laisser le patient sur le matelas pendant le transfert.

S’assurer que les freins du châssis de lit soient mis afin d’éviter tout

déplacement intempestif.

Utiliser les poignées pour faciliter le transfert si le matelas en est

équipé.

Lors de la manipulation du matelas, toutes les précautions

nécessaires doivent être prises pour éviter tout dommage.

Ne pas intervenir sur le dispositif si celui-ci est occupé.

Nettoyer et désinfecter

Le nettoyage et la désinfection sont deux procédures distinctes.

Se conformer aux consignes de sécurité

• Vérifier que le lit sur lequel est installé le dispositif est

immobilisé.

• Condamner l'ensemble des fonctions électriques.

• Ne jamais laver le matelas à grande eau, ni sous un jet à haute

pression.

• Ne jamais utiliser de l'eau à une température supérieure à

70°C.

• Se reporter aux conseils d’utilisation fournis par le fabricant du

produit de nettoyage et de désinfection.

• Sécher soigneusement le matelas avant réutilisation.

• Le port d'équipements de protection individuelle adéquats est

nécessaire lors des différentes phases de nettoyage (blouse,

gants, protections oculaires, etc.).

Le non-respect de ces recommandations peut endommager ou

détériorer le matériel et remettre en cause l'utilisation du matelas

et la garantie du matériel.

Maîtriser les infections

Nettoyage insuffisant = Risque d’infection

(danger biologique) !

Pour éviter les risques d’infection, la propreté de tous les éléments

doit être assurée en permanence. Toutes les précautions

nécessaires doivent être prises pour éliminer l’ensemble des

salissures visibles.

Les instructions suivantes ne se substituent en aucun cas aux

protocoles de nettoyage et désinfection plus appropriés mis

en place par le Responsable de la Cellule d'Hygiène ou les

services compétents de votre établissement en cas de

situations infectieuses particulières.

Se conformer aux recommandations du fabricant

La méthode de nettoyage et de désinfection décrite ci-après

concerne spécifiquement le matelas et l'ensemble de ses

accessoires pour permettre de gagner du temps et de lutter plus

efficacement contre les infections nosocomiales.

Hill-Rom recommande de désinfecter le matelas Hill-Rom

NP100 avant sa première utilisation.

Lors du nettoyage, toujours vérifier que la housse ne présente

aucune entaille, déchirure, fissure ou accroc. Ne jamais utiliser

un matelas dont la housse est endommagée.

Si la mousse interne du matelas est souillée et présente un

risque d'infection, remplacer le matelas.

Le suivi d'autres protocoles de nettoyage et de désinfection

ou l'utilisation de produits autres que ceux recommandés par

Hill-Rom peut compromettre la conformité des dispositifs et la

sécurité du patient et annuler la garantie.

Matériels en fin de vie

Hill-Rom recommande de désinfecter le matelas avant sa mise au

rebut.

Les clients doivent se conformer aux lois et réglementations

fédérales, nationales, régionales et / ou locales en matière

d'élimination sécurisée des dispositifs médicaux et accessoires . En

cas de doute, l'utilisateur de l'appareil doit d'abord contacter le

support technique Hill-Rom pour obtenir des conseils sur les

protocoles d'élimination sécurisée.

Produits à éviter

Afin d'éviter d'endommager le matelas, ne jamais utiliser de

nettoyants, détergents, dégraissants ou solvants industriels

contenant l'un des produits suivants :

Ne pas utiliser de désinfectants ou de détergents très acides

(pH<4).

Ne pas utiliser de désinfectants ou de détergents très basiques

(pH>10).

Ne pas utiliser de produits ou de matériels à nettoyer abrasifs tels

que les tampons à récurer.

Nettoyer et désinfecter après le départ d'un

patient ou à chaque changement de draps

Utiliser les produits recommandés

Terralin® Protect (Schülke)1

Concentration : 5 ml/l (= 0,5 %), durée de pose : 1 h.

Nettoyer

Nettoyer le matelas à l'aide d'un chiffon imbibé d'eau

chaude et d'une solution détergente neutre. Vérifier

que la solution ne contient aucun des produits à

éviter signalés ci-dessus.

Nettoyager les taches résistantes

Nettoyer rapidement les traces de solutions pharmaceutiques

utilisées pour les patients pour éviter une dégradation

permanente de la surface.

• Pour éliminer les taches résistantes, utiliser une brosse à poils

souples avec des détergents neutres ou une solution à base de

chlore à une concentration inférieure ou égale à 1000 ppm ou

10000 ppm suivant étiquetage.

• Pour éliminer les taches durcies (exsudats, salissures diverses),

les imprégner afin de les ramollir et veiller à bien sécher la

housse avant de la remettre sur le matelas.

Désinfecter

En cas de souillure visible, Hill-Rom recommande de désinfecter le

matelas avec un désinfectant de niveau intermédiaire

(tuberculocide) conforme à la réglementation en vigueur (par

exemple conforme aux exigences de la Réglementation 2017/745/

CEE).

Pour tout autre désinfectant :

Procéder aux étapes finales avant de réutiliser le matelas nettoyé

et désinfecté (Voir “Effectuer les étapes finales”, page 3).

Nettoyer et désinfecter à intervalles réguliers ou en

cas de risque de contamination important

Suivre les instructions indiquées ci-dessus (Voir “Nettoyer et

désinfecter après le départ d'un patient ou à chaque changement

de draps”, page 2) mais en utilisant les produits répertoriés ci-

dessous.

Utiliser les produits recommandés

Après le départ d'un patient atteint par une maladie

infectieuse :

•Dismozon® Pur (Bode)1

Concentration : 40 g/l (= 4 %), durée de contact : 1 h

Après le départ d'un patient atteint de Clostridium Difficile :

•Dismozon® Pur

Concentration : 15 g/l (= 1,5 %),

durée de contact :

2 h

•Anioxy-Spray WS (Anios)

Prêt à l’emploi,

Nettoyer le matelas à la vapeur sèche

La vapeur sèche ou vapeur surchauffée contient au maximum 6 %

d'eau en suspension et évite les effets de condensation.

Pour éviter tout endommagement dû à la haute pression ou à une

température anormale de la surface, il convient de prendre les

précautions suivantes :

• Ne pas utiliser d’accessoires tels que des lances haute pression

(A). Il est préférable d’utiliser des brosses non métalliques à

poils souples (B) et des raclettes (C) pour réduire la pression à

un niveau acceptable.

• Ne pas brosser les zones telles que les étiquettes et les

marquages ; utiliser une pression réduite.

• Sécher soigneusement et rechercher d’éventuelles infiltrations

d’eau avant réutilisation.

Hill-Rom recommande l’utilisation de la méthode Sanivap® :

Le lavage en machine ne doit pas être systématique car il atténue

la durée de vie des composants. Il convient d’y recourir

uniquement en cas de risques infectieux particuliers.

Remise en place de la housse

Lors de la remise en place de la housse après lavage, s’assurer de

la correspondance avec la mousse associée (Voir tableau

“Correspondance matelas / mousse / housse”, page 3).

Orienter la housse dans le même sens que la mousse suivant la

marque située en pied vers le haut.

• Retirer toujours du matelas toutes les traces des produits

utilisés lors du nettoyage ou de la désinfection.

Vorsichtsmaßnahmen und

Sicherheitshinweise

Verwendungszweck

Die NP100-Matratze dient zur Prophylaxe von Druckgeschwüren. Sie

eignet sich für Erwachsene, die einem niedrigen bis mittleren Risiko

ausgesetzt sind, in einem Gewichtsbereich zwischen 30 kg und

150 kg.

Umwelt

Die Matratze kann gemäß IEC-Norm 60601-2-52 in folgenden

Umgebungen verwendet werden:

• Anwendungsumgebung 1 (Akutpflege)

• Anwendungsumgebung 2 (in Krankenhäusern oder anderen

medizinischen Einrichtungen zur Kurzzeitpflege)

• Anwendungsumgebung 3 (in medizinischen Einrichtungen zur

Langzeitpflege)

• Anwendungsumgebung 5 (externe Patienten und ambulante

Versorgung)

Kontraindikationen

Die NP100-Matratze darf keinen direkten Kontakt zu verletzter Haut

haben und eignet sich nicht für Patienten mit atypischen Anatomien.

Personal für die Patientenpflege in unterschiedlichen

Pflegeanwendungsumgebungen konzipiert.

Erste Verwendung

Hill-Rom empfiehlt, die Matratze vor der ersten Verwendung zu

desinfizieren.

Hinweise für den Anwender

Lesen Sie sämtliche Hinweise aufmerksam durch. Sonst besteht

die Gefahr von Personen- und Materialschäden..

Vorbereitung der Matratze

Nehmen Sie die Matratze NP100 aus ihrer Polyäthylenverpackung.

Achten Sie darauf, die Matratze nicht mit Scheren oder Cuttern zu

beschädigen. Prüfen Sie, ob der Reißverschluss komplett zugezogen

ist.

Warten Sie vor dem Gebrauch wenigstens 24 Stunden, bis die Matratze

Raumtemperatur (18 °C bis 20 °C) angenommen hat.

Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Matratze vorschriftsmäßig auf das

Bett gelegt und auf der Liegefläche ausgerichtet ist.

Beziehen Sie die Matratze mit einem Laken, um den direkten Kontakt

der Haut des Patienten mit der Matratzenoberfläche zu verhindern.

Empfohlene Nutzungsbedingungen

Der Patient sollte unter ständiger Aufsicht bleiben,

wenn die obere Kante des Seitengitters nicht mehr

als 22 cm über die Matratze hinausragt.

Wenn der Patient nicht beaufsichtigt wird, sollte das

Bett in die unterste Verstellposition gebracht

werden.

Eine falsche Installation der Matratze NP100 und

des Bettrahmens birgt die Gefahr des Einklemmens,

was zu schweren Verletzungen oder zum Tod

führen kann.

Bei einer Herz-Lungen-Wiederbelebung (externe

Herzmassage) muss ggf. ein Brett zwischen Patient

und Matratze gelegt werden.

Die sichere Arbeitslast ist das maximal zulässige

Gewicht; bei einem Überschreiten dieses

Gewichts kann das Matratzensystem Schaden

nehmen.

Umlagern der Matratze in ein anderes Bett

Beim Umlagern der Matratze in ein anderes Bett darf der Patient

unter keinen Umständen darauf liegen bleiben.

Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Bremsen des Bettuntergestells

festgestellt sind, um unbeabsichtigte Bewegungen zu verhindern.

Wenn die Matratze mit Griffen ausgestattet ist, halten Sie die Matratze

beim Transport daran fest.

Sie müssen geeignete Maßnahmen ergreifen, um eine Beschädigung

der Matratze bei ihrer Handhabung zu vermeiden.

Von Arbeiten an einem belegten System ist dringend abzusehen.

Reinigen und Desinfizieren

Reinigen und Desinfizieren sind zwei separate Verfahren.

Sicherheitsanweisungen

• Prüfen Sie, ob die Bremsen am Bett mit der Matratzenauflage

festgestellt sind.

• Sperren Sie alle elektrischen Funktionen.

• Verwenden Sie weder übermäßig viel Wasser noch einen

Dampfreiniger zum Reinigen der Matratze.

• Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung höchstens 70 °C heißes Wasser.

• Befolgen Sie die Anweisungen des Reinigungs- und

Desinfektionsmittelherstellers.

• Trocknen Sie die Matratze vor einer erneuten Verwendung gründlich

ab.

• Tragen Sie bei den verschiedenen Reinigungsschritten eine geeignete

persönliche Schutzausrüstung (Kittel, Handschuhe, Augenschutz

usw.).

Bei Nichtbeachtung dieser Hinweise können Materialschäden

oder Verschleißerscheinungen auftreten, welche die

einwandfreie Funktion der Matratze beeinträchtigen und zum

Erlöschen der Garantie führen.

Infektionskontrolle

Unzureichende Reinigung = Infektionsrisiko

(biologische Gefahr)!

Um ein Infektionsrisiko auszuschließen, müssen alle Teile sauber

gehalten werden. Sie müssen geeignete Maßnahmen ergreifen, um

sichtbare Verschmutzungen zu beseitigen.

Die nachstehenden Pflegehinweise sind kein Ersatz für

angemessenere Reinigungs- und Desinfektionsprotokolle, die

für den Fall besonderer infektiöser Situationen vom

Hygieneverantwortlichen oder anderen Gremien für Ihr

Krankenhaus erstellt wurden.

Befolgen der Herstellerempfehlungen

Die nachstehende, speziell auf die Matratze und deren Zubehör

zugeschnittene Reinigungs- und Desinfektionsmethode ermöglicht

eine zeitsparende Reinigung/Desinfektion und beugt nosokomialen

Infektionen wirksamer vor.

Hill-Rom empfiehlt, die Matratze NP100 vor der ersten

Verwendung zu desinfizieren.

Untersuchen Sie den Matratzenbezug bei der Reinigung

grundsätzlich auf Schnitte, Risse, Bruchstellen oder Schlitze. Die

Matratze darf nicht mit einem beschädigten Bezug verwendet

werden.

Wenn die Schaumstoffeinlage der Matratze verschmutzt ist und

eine Infektionsgefahr darstellt, wechseln Sie die Matratze aus.

Die Verwendung von anderen Reinigungs- und

Desinfektionsprotokollen bzw. von anderen als den von Hill-Rom

empfohlenen Produkten kann die Qualität der Matratze

beeinträchtigen, die Patientensicherheit gefährden und die

Garantie nichtig machen.

Hill-Rom empfiehlt, die Matratze vor der Entsorgung in

Übereinstimmung mit den lokal geltenden

Umweltschutzvorschriften zu desinfizieren.

Außerbetriebnahme

Hill-Rom empfiehlt, die Matratze vor der Außerbetriebnahme

desinfizieren.

Kunden verpflichten sich zur Einhaltung aller staatlichen,

landesstaatlichen, regionalen und lokalen Gesetze und Vorschriften in

Bezug auf die sichere Entsorgung von Medizinprodukten und

Zubehörteilen. Im Zweifelsfall muss sich der Benutzer mit Fragen zur

sicheren Entsorgung an den technischen Support der Hill-Rom-

Vertretung in seinem Land wenden.

Zu vermeidende Produkte

Um eine Beschädigung der Matratze zu vermeiden, dürfen Sie keine

Industriereiniger, chemischen Reinigungsmittel, Entfettungsmittel oder

Lösungsmittel mit einem der folgenden Inhaltsstoffe verwenden:

Verwenden Sie keine stark sauren Reinigungs- oder

Desinfektionsmittel (pH < 4).

Verwenden Sie keine stark basischen Reinigungs- oder

Desinfektionsmittel (pH > 10).

Verwenden Sie keine scheuernden Reinigungsmittel oder

-produkte, z. B. Scheuerschwämme.

Reinigung und Desinfektion nach der Entlassung

des Patienten oder nach dem Wechseln der Laken

Empfohlene Produkte

Terralin® Protect (Schülke)1

Konzentration: 5 ml/l (= 0,5%), Kontaktdauer: 1 Std.

Reinigung

Reinigen Sie die Matratze mit einem feuchtwarmen Tuch

und einer neutralen Reinigungslösung. Vergewissern Sie

sich, dass die Lösung keine der obengenannten zu

vermeidenden Produkte enthält.

Beseitigung von hartnäckigen Verschmutzungen

Wischen Sie Spuren pharmazeutischer Lösungen, die zur Behandlung

von Patienten verwendet wurden, so schnell wie möglich weg, um eine

dauerhafte Beschädigung der Oberfläche zu vermeiden.

• Entfernen Sie hartnäckige Flecken mit einer weichen Bürste und einem

neutralen Reinigungsmittel oder einer Lösung auf Chlorbasis mit einer

Konzentration von maximal 1.000 ppm oder 10.000, je nach

Anweisungen auf dem Etikett.

• Angetrocknete Flecken (Exkremente, andere Verschmutzungen)

müssen ggf. vorher aufgeweicht werden. Der Bezug muss vor dem

Überziehen über die Matratze gründlich getrocknet werden.

Desinfektion

Sichtbare Verschmutzungen der Matratze sollten gemäß der

Empfehlung von Hill-Rom sowie geltender Vorschriften (beispielsweise

gemäß der Anforderungen der Verordnung (EU) 2017/745/EG) mit

tuberkuloziden Desinfektionsmitteln entfernt werden.

Für alle anderen Desinfektionsmittel gilt Folgendes:

Fahren Sie mit den abschließenden Schritten fort, bevor Sie die

gereinigte und desinfizierte Matratze wiederverwenden (Siehe „Ziehen

Sie den Bezug wieder auf das Bett“, Seite 3).

Reinigung und Desinfektion in regelmäßigen

Abständen oder im Fall eines hohen

Kontaminationsrisikos

Befolgen Sie die gleichen Anweisungen wie oben (Siehe „Reinigung

und Desinfektion nach der Entlassung des Patienten oder nach dem

Wechseln der Laken“, Seite 2), verwenden Sie jedoch die

nachstehend aufgeführten Produkte.

Empfohlene Produkte

Nach Entlassung eines Patienten mit einer

Infektionskrankheit:

•Dismozon® Pur (Bode)1

Konzentration: 40 g/l (= 4 %), Kontaktdauer: 1 Std.

Nach Entlassung eines Patienten mit einer

Clostridium Difficile-Infektion:

•Dismozon® Pur

Konzentration: 15 g/l (= 1,5 %),

Kontaktdauer:

2 Std.

•Anioxy-Spray WS (Anios)

Trockendampfreinigung der Matratze

Trockendampf bzw. überhitzter Heißdampf enthält max. 6 % Wasser

in Suspension und verhindert eine Kondensation.

Um Schäden durch hohen Druck oder ungewöhnliche

Oberflächentemperaturen zu vermeiden, ergreifen Sie die folgenden

Vorsichtsmaßnahmen:

• Verwenden Sie kein Zubehör wie z. B. Hochdruckschläuche (A).

Bevorzugen Sie weiche nichtmetallische Bürsten (B) und Tücher (C),

und wenden Sie nur mäßigen Druck an.

• Verwenden Sie im Bereich von Aufklebern und Kennzeichnungen

keine Bürste, und üben Sie nur wenig Druck aus.

• Trocknen Sie die Matratze vor der Wiederverwendung gründlich und

untersuchen Sie, ob Wasser eingedrungen ist.

Hill-Rom empfiehlt die Sanivap®-Methode:

• Vom Hersteller empfohlene Anwendungsdauer:

ungefähr 1 Sekunde

• Vom Hersteller empfohlener Abstand zwischen der Quelle und der zu

desinfizierenden Oberfläche:

ungefähr 3 mm

• Anwendung: Außenseite der Matratze (Bezüge)

• Häufigkeit: bei jedem neuen Patienten

Maschinenwäsche des Matratzenbezugs

Der Bezug muss nicht immer in der Maschine gewaschen werden.

Anderenfalls ist mit einer Verkürzung der Lebensdauer der

Komponenten zu rechnen. Maschinenwäsche ist nur bei erhöhter

Infektionsgefahr erforderlich.

Wenn Sie den Bezug nach dem Waschen wieder aufziehen,

müssen Sie sich vergewissern, dass Bezug und Matratze

zueinander passen (Siehe „Kombination aus Matratze /

Schaumstoff / Bezug“, Seite 3)

Achten Sie beim Aufziehen des Bezugs auf die

Markierungen am Fußende der Matratze, um den Bezug

richtig herum aufzuziehen.

Abschließende Schritte

• Beseitigen Sie stets sämtliche Spuren der zum Waschen und

Desinfizieren der Matratze verwendeten Produkte.

• Vergewissern Sie sich vor Wiederverwendung der Matratze, dass alle

Teile vollständig trocken sind, um das Risiko einer Kondensation

innerhalb der Matratze zu vermeiden.

Empfohlene Bedingungen für den Transport

und die Lagerung

*Gilt nur, wenn die Matratze in der Originalverpackung

transportiert bzw. gelagert wird.

Die Matratze muss in ihrer Originalverpackung gelagert werden:

• Vor Licht und Feuchtigkeit geschützt

• Wenigstens 10 cm über dem Boden, um das Eindringen von

Flüssigkeiten zu verhindern

• Vor Staub geschützt

• Nicht in Durchgängen

Grundsätzlich nicht mehr als 15 Matratzen übereinanderlegen.

Tips voor veiligheid en gebruik

Gebruiksbestemming

Het NP100 matras voorkomt doorligwonden. Het is geschikt

voor volwassen patiënten met een laag of matig risico, met

een gewicht dat idealiter ligt tussen de 30kg en 150kg.

Milieu

Het kan gebruikt worden als matras in de volgende

omgevingen, zoals vastgelegd in de norm IEC 60601-2-52:

• toepassingsomgeving 1 (acute zorg);

• toepassingsomgeving 2 (kortdurende zorg in ziekenhuis of

andere medische instelling);

• toepassingsomgeving 3 (langdurige zorg in medische

instellingen);

• toepassingsomgeving 5 (poliklinische of ambulante zorg).

Contra-indicaties

Het NP100 matras is niet bedoeld voor direct contact met de

beschadigde huid en is niet geschikt voor patiënten met een

afwijkende lichaamsbouw.

Beoogde gebruikers

De matrassen uit de NP-serie zijn bedoeld voor gebruik door

gekwalificeerd personeel voor de verzorging van patiënten uit

verschillende toepassingsomgevingen.

Eerste gebruik

Hill-Rom adviseert het matras te desinfecteren voor het eerste

gebruik.

Gebruiksinstructies

Lees alle instructies zorgvuldig door. Het niet opvolgen

van deze instructies kan lichamelijk letsel en materiële

schade tot gevolg hebben.

Voordat u de patiënt op het matras plaatst

Haal het NP100-matras uit de polyethyleenverpakking.

Zorg er voor dat u het matras niet beschadigt met een schaar

of een mes. Controleer of de rits geheel gesloten is.

Bewaar het matras voor gebruik gedurende tenminste 24 uur

op kamertemperatuur (18°C tot 20°C).

Zorg dat de matras goed geplaatst is, in het midden van het

ligvlak.

Bedek het matras met een laken om direct contact tussen de

huid van de patiënt en de oppervlakte van het matras te

voorkomen.

Voorwaarden voor gebruik

Toezicht wordt aanbevolen wanneer de bovenkant

van het bedhek minder dan 22 cm boven het matras

uitkomt.

Het wordt aanbevolen om het bed in de laagste

stand te zetten als de patiënt zonder toezicht wordt

gelaten.

Als niet goed wordt gecontroleerd of bedframe en

NP100-matras goed op elkaar aansluiten, kan dit

leiden tot beknelling met ernstig letsel of de dood tot

gevolg.

Plaats indien nodig een harde plaat tussen de

patiënt en het matras tijdens cardiopulmonaire

resuscitatie (reanimatie).

De veilige gebruikslast is de hoogte

toelaatbare belasting die kan worden

toegepast, waarboven schade aan het

matras kan ontstaan.

De veilige werkbelasting, inclusief het totale

gewicht van de patiënt, accessoires en de

belasting die door deze accessoires

ondersteund wordt.

Het matras verplaatsen naar een ander bed

Laat de patiënt nooit op het matras liggen wanneer u het

matras verplaatst.

Controleer of de wielen van het bed op de rem staan om

onbedoelde bewegingen te voorkomen.

Als de matras handgrepen heeft, gebruikt u deze om het

gemakkelijker te verplaatsen.

Neem alle noodzakelijke voorzorgsmaatregelen om schade bij

het verplaatsen van het matras te voorkomen.

Niet aan het hulpmiddel werken wanneer het bezet is.

Schoonmaken en desinfecteren

Reiniging en desinfectie zijn twee verschillende procedures.

Veiligheidsinstructies

• Controleer of het bed waarop het matras ligt, op de rem

staat.

• Sluit alle elektrische functies af.

• Maak het matras nooit schoon door er water op te gieten

en gebruik geen hogedrukstraal.

• Gebruik nooit water met een temperatuur boven de 70°C.

• Raadpleeg de aanbevelingen van de fabrikant voor

reiniging en desinfectie van het product.

• Droog het matras grondig af voordat u het gebruikt.

• Draag geschikte persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen

tijdens het reinigen (schort, handschoenen,

oogbescherming, enz.).

Als een of meer aanbevelingen niet worden opgevolgd,

kan dit beschadiging of slijtage tot gevolg hebben,

waardoor het product niet meer kan worden gebruikt en

de garantie vervalt.

Infectie voorkomen

Onvoldoende reiniging = Infectierisico

(biologisch gevaar)!

Alle onderdelen moeten altijd schoon gehouden worden om

het risico op infectie te voorkomen. Alle noodzakelijke

voorzorgsmaatregelen moeten worden genomen om alle

zichtbare vuil te verwijderen.

De volgende instructies zijn niet bedoeld als vervanging

van passende reinigings- en desinfectieprotocollen die in

uw ziekenhuis voor bepaalde infectieziekten van kracht zijn.

Aanbevelingen van de fabrikant

Onderstaande reinigings- en desinfecteermethode is specifiek

van toepassing op het matras en bijbehorende accessoires en

is ontwikkeld voor snelle en effectieve bestrijding van

ziekenhuisinfecties.

Hill-Rom raadt aan om het bi-density NP100-matras voor

het eerste gebruik te desinfecteren.

Controleer de hoes tijdens het reinigen altijd op scheuren,

gaten of slijtage. Gebruik geen matras met een

beschadigde hoes.

Vervang het matras als het schuimrubber in het matras

vuil is en een besmettingsrisico vormt.

Gebruik van andere reinigings- en desinfectieprotocollen

of producten dan aanbevolen door Hill-Rom kan het

materiaal en de patiëntveiligheid in gevaar brengen, en

het recht op garantie doen vervallen.

Hill-Rom beveelt aan het matras te desinfecteren voordat

het volgens de plaatselijke voorschriften wordt afgevoerd.

Afgeschreven materiaal

Hill-Rom adviseert om het matras te ontsmetten alvorens het

af te schrijven

Klanten dienen de landelijke, regionale en/of lokale wetgeving

in acht te nemen wat betreft het veilig wegwerpen van

medische apparatuur en accessoires. Bij twijfel dient de

gebruiker van het hulpmiddel eerst contact op te nemen met

de technische dienst van Hill-Rom voor de protocollen op het

gebied van veilig wegwerpen.

Te vermijden producten

Gebruik geen schoonmaakmiddelen, wasmiddelen,

ontvettingsmiddelen of industriële oplosmiddelen die een van

de volgende bestanddelen bevatten om beschadiging van het

matras te voorkomen:

Gebruik geen sterk zure reinigings- of ontsmettingsmiddelen

(pH-waarde < 4).

Gebruik geen sterk alkalische reinigings- of

ontsmettingsmiddelen (pH-waarde > 10).

Gebruik nooit schurende reinigingsmiddelen of -materialen,

zoals schuursponzen.

Reiniging en desinfecteer na vertrek van een

patiënt en bij verschoning van het beddengoed

Aanbevolen producten

Terralin® Protect (Schülke)1

Concentratie: 5 ml/l (= 0.5%), contacttijd: 1 uur.

Reiniging

Reinig het matras met een doek die is bevochtigd

met heet water en een neutraal reinigingsmiddel.

Controleer of het reinigingsmiddel geen van de

hierboven genoemde bestanddelen bevat die

vermeden moeten worden.

Reinigen van hardnekkig vuil

Neem resten van farmaceutische oplossingen die voor de

patiënt zijn gebruikt snel weg om te voorkomen dat het

matrasoppervlak beschadigd raakt.

• Verwijder hardnekkige vlekken met een zachte borstel en

een neutraal reinigingsmiddel of een oplossing op

chloorbasis in een concentratie van minder dan of gelijk

aan 1000 ppm of 10.000 ppm volgens het label.

• Verwijder opgedroogde vlekken (fecaliën of ander vuil)

door ze te weken en laat de hoes zorgvuldig drogen

voordat u deze terugplaatst op het matras.

Desinfecteren

Wanneer er sprake is van zichtbare vervuiling, raadt Hill-Rom

aan het matras te ontsmetten met een gemiddeld sterk

desinfectiemiddel (tuberculocidaal) dat voldoet aan de van

toepassing zijnde regelgeving (bijv. aan de eisen van richtlijn

2017/745/EEC).

Voor alle andere ontsmettingsmiddelen:

Doorloop ook de laatste stappen voordat u het gereinigde en

ontsmette matras opnieuw gebruikt (Zie “De hoes terugplaatsen”

pagina 3).

Reinigen en desinfecteren op regelmatige basis of

bij hoog besmettingsrisico

Volg dezelfde instructies als hierboven (Zie “Reiniging en

desinfecteer na vertrek van een patiënt en bij verschoning van

het beddengoed” pagina 2), maar met de producten die

hieronder zijn vermeld.

Aanbevolen producten

Na het vertrek van patiënten met besmettelijke ziekten:

•Dismozon® Pur (Bode)1

Concentratie: 40 g/l (= 4%), contacttijd: 1 uur

Na vertrek van een patiënt met

Clostridium Difficile:

•Dismozon® Pur

Concentratie: 15 g/l (= 1.5%),

contacttijd:

• Anioxy-Spray WS (Anios)

Stoomreiniging van de matras

Droge stoom of hete stoom bevat niet meer dan 6% waterdamp

waardoor condensatie-effecten worden voorkomen.

Neem de volgende voorzorgsmaatregelen om schade door

hoge druk of een afwijkende oppervlaktetemperatuur te

voorkomen:

• Gebruik geen accessoires zoals hogedrukslangen (A).

Gebruik bij voorkeur zachte, niet-metalen borstels (B) en

doekjes (C) en oefen daarmee niet te veel druk uit.

• Borstel labels en markeringen niet en oefen slechts zachte

druk uit om te reinigen.

• Droog het matras zorgvuldig en let op dat er geen water

binnendringt voordat u het matras weer gebruikt.

Middelen op chloorbasis zijn toegestaan.

De concentratie dient minder dan of gelijk te

zijn aan 1000 ppm.

Hill-Rom adviseert het gebruik van de Sanivap®-methode:

• Toepassingstijd aanbevolen door de leverancier:

ongeveer 1 sec.

• Afstand (aanbevolen door de leverancier) tussen de bron

en het te desinfecteren oppervlak:

ongeveer 3 mm.

• Toepassing: buitenste gedeelte van het matras (hoes).

• Frequentie: voor iedere nieuwe patiënt.

De matrashoes wassen in de wasmachine

De hoes niet altijd in de wasmachine wassen. Dit verkort de

levensduur van de onderdelen. Uitsluitend in de wasmachine

wassen als er een duidelijk infectierisico is.

De hoes terugplaatsen

Wanneer u de hoes opnieuw aanbrengt na het wassen in de

machine, controleert u of het past bij de passende

schuimkleur (Zie “Matras / schuim / hoescombinaties”

pagina 3).

De bovenkant van de hoes moet in de juiste aangegeven

richting worden aangebracht op het schuim van het voeten-

naar het hoofdeinde.

• Verwijder altijd alle resten van producten die voor reiniging

en desinfectie van het matras zijn gebruikt.

• Zorg ervoor dat alle onderdelen van het matras droog zijn

voordat u het opnieuw gebruikt om het risico op

condensvorming binnen in het matras te voorkomen.

Istruzioni per l’uso

Suggerimenti per la sicurezza e l'utilizzo

Destinazione dell'apparecchiatura

Il materasso NP100 offre il vantaggio di contribuire a prevenire

le piaghe da decubito. È adatto ai pazienti adulti a rischio da

basso a moderato, di peso compreso tra i 30 kg e i 150 kg.

Ambiente

Può essere usato come materasso nei seguenti ambienti,

definiti in base alla norma IEC 60601-2-52:

• ambiente di utilizzo 1 (trattamento pazienti in fase acuta);

• ambiente di utilizzo 2 (brevi degenze in ospedali o altre

strutture sanitarie);

• ambiente di utilizzo 3 (lungodegenze in strutture sanitarie);

• ambiente di utilizzo 5 (pazienti esterni o terapie

ambulatoriali).

Controindicazioni

Il materasso NP100 non è progettato per entrare direttamente

a contatto con la pelle danneggiata e non è adatto a pazienti

con atipicità anatomiche.

Utilizzatori previsti

I materassi della serie NP sono progettati per essere utilizzati

da personale qualificato per la cura di pazienti di molti ambienti

d'impiego terapeutici.

Primo utilizzo

Hill-Rom raccomanda di disinfettare il materasso prima del

primo utilizzo.

Rimuovere l'imballo in polietilene del materasso NP100.

Assicurarsi di non danneggiare il materasso con forbici o

taglierini. Verificare che la lampo sia completamente chiusa.

Assicurarsi che il materasso sia installato e centrato

correttamente sul piano rete.

Coprire il materasso con un lenzuolo per evitare il contatto

diretto tra la pelle del paziente e la superficie del materasso.

Condizioni d’uso consigliate

È consigliabile la supervisione da parte del personale

sanitario se la distanza tra la parte superiore della

sponda laterale e il materasso è inferiore a 22 cm.

Quando il paziente non è sorvegliato, il letto deve

sempre trovarsi nella posizione più bassa possibile.

Un'errata valutazione nel posizionamento del

materasso NP100 e delle relative strutture può

aumentare il rischio di intrappolamento del paziente

con conseguenze quali lesioni gravi o decesso.

Se necessario, inserire un pannello tra il paziente e

il materasso per effettuare la rianimazione

cardiopolmonare (massaggio cardiaco esterno).

Il carico di lavoro sicuro è il carico massimo

consentito applicabile oltre il quale il

materasso potrebbe essere danneggiato.

Carico di lavoro sicuro, compreso il peso

totale del paziente, gli accessori e il carico

sostenuto da tali accessori.

Trasferimento del materasso da un letto all’altro

Non lasciare mai il paziente sul materasso durante il

trasferimento.

Per evitare spostamenti accidentali, accertarsi che i freni del

telaio del letto siano stati azionati.

Se il materasso dispone di maniglie, usarle per trasferirlo più

agevolmente.

Quando si maneggia il materasso occorre adottare tutte le

precauzioni necessarie per evitare qualsiasi danno.

Non lavorare sul dispositivo quando è occupato.

Pulizia e disinfezione

La pulizia e la disinfezione sono due procedure separate.

Suggerimenti per la sicurezza

• Controllare che siano azionati i freni ai letti su cui è stato

montato il materasso.

• Disattivare tutte le funzioni elettriche.

• Non pulire il materasso versandovi sopra acqua o con

un'idropulitrice.

• Non utilizzare acqua a una temperatura superiore ai 70°C.

• Attenersi alle raccomandazioni fornite dal fabbricante del

materasso per le operazioni di pulizia e disinfezione.

• Asciugare completamente il materasso prima di

riutilizzarlo.

• Durante le operazioni di pulizia occorre indossare idonei

dispositivi di protezione individuale (camice, guanti,

dispositivi di protezione per gli occhi ecc.).

La mancata osservanza di queste raccomandazioni

potrebbe causare danni o deterioramento, impedire l’uso

del materasso e invalidare la garanzia.

Controllo delle infezioni

Pulizia insufficiente = Rischio di infezione

(pericolo biologico)!

Tutti gli elementi devono essere mantenuti sempre puliti per

evitare il rischio di infezioni. Occorre adottare tutte le

precauzioni necessarie per eliminare tutte le macchie visibili.

Le seguenti istruzioni non intendono sostituire i relativi

protocolli di pulizia e disinfezione redatti dal responsabile

sanitario o da altri enti specificatamente per l'ospedale in

cui si utilizza il materasso, in cui sussiste il rischio di

infezioni.

Raccomandazioni del fabbricante

Il metodo di pulizia e disinfezione descritto di seguito si

riferisce specificamente al materasso e ai relativi accessori ed

è stato concepito per aiutare a risparmiare tempo e a

prevenire le infezioni nosocomiali in modo più efficace.

Hill-Rom consiglia di disinfettare il materasso NP100

Bidensity prima di utilizzarlo per la prima volta.

Durante la pulizia, controllare regolarmente che il

coprimaterasso non presenti tagli, strappi, fori o

lacerazioni. Non utilizzare in alcun caso un materasso con

un coprimaterasso danneggiato.

Se la schiuma interna del materasso è sporca e presenta

un rischio di infezione, si consiglia di sostituire il

materasso.

L’uso di protocolli o prodotti di pulizia e disinfezione

diversi da quelli raccomandati da Hill-Rom può

danneggiare il dispositivo e mettere a rischio la sicurezza

del paziente, oltre a rendere nulla la garanzia.

Hill-Rom raccomanda che il materasso venga disinfettato

prima dello smaltimento conforme alla normativa locale

applicabile in materia ambientale.

Smantellamento

Hill-Rom raccomanda di disinfettare il materasso prima di

smantellarlo.

I clienti devono attenersi a tutte le leggi e norme federali,

statali, regionali e/o locali sullo smaltimento in sicurezza dei

dispositivi medicali e dei loro accessori. In caso di dubbio,

l'utilizzatore del dispositivo deve innanzitutto contattare

l'Assistenza Tecnica Hill-Rom per ottenere le istruzioni sui

protocolli di smaltimento sicuro.

Prodotti da evitare

Per non danneggiare il materasso, non usare mai prodotti di

pulizia, detergenti, agenti sgrassanti o solventi industriali

contenenti una qualsiasi delle seguenti sostanze:

Non utilizzare detergenti o disinfettanti molto acidi (pH<4).

Non utilizzare detergenti o disinfettanti molto alcalini (pH>10).

Non utilizzare mai materiali o prodotti di pulizia abrasivi, ad

esempio spugnette abrasive.

Pulizia e disinfezione dopo la dimissione del

paziente o al cambio delle lenzuola

Prodotti raccomandati

Terralin® Protect (Schülke)1

Concentrazione: 5 ml/l (= 0,5%), tempo di contatto: 1 ora.

Pulizia

Pulire il materasso servendosi di un panno

inumidito con acqua calda e una soluzione

detergente neutra. Assicurarsi che la soluzione

non contenga nessuno degli agenti da evitare

indicati sopra.

Pulizia delle macchie ostinate

Rimuovere rapidamente eventuali tracce di soluzioni

farmacologiche usate per i pazienti per evitare di danneggiare

permanentemente la superficie.

• Togliere le macchie ostinate servendosi di detersivi neutri o

di una soluzione a base di cloro con concentrazione

inferiore o pari a 1.000 ppm o 10 000 ppm secondo

l’etichetta utilizzando una spazzola morbida.

• Per rimuovere le macchie indurite (escreti, altre forme di

sporcizia), ammorbidirle bagnandole e fare attenzione ad

asciugare completamente il coprimaterasso prima di

sistemarlo sul materasso.

Disinfezione

In caso di sporcizia evidente, Hill-Rom raccomanda di

disinfettare il materasso con un disinfettante intermedio

(antitubercolare) conforme alla normativa in vigore (per es. ai

requisiti della norma 2017/745/EEC).

Per tutti gli altri disinfettanti:

Prima di riutilizzare il materasso pulito e disinfettato,

procedere con i passi finali (Vedi “Reinstallazione della copri”,

a pagina 3).

Pulizia e disinfezione a intervalli regolari o in caso

di rischio elevato di contaminazione

Seguire le stesse istruzioni indicate sopra(Vedi “Pulizia e

disinfezione dopo la dimissione del paziente o al cambio delle

lenzuola”, a pagina 2), ma utilizzando i prodotti indicati di

seguito.

Dopo la dimissione di un paziente affetto da malattia

infettiva:

Pulizia del materasso con vapore secco

Il vapore secco o il vapore surriscaldato contiene meno del 6%

d'acqua in sospensione ed evita gli effetti dovuti alla

formazione di condensa.

Per evitare danni dovuti ad alta pressione o ad una

temperatura della superficie anomala, prendere le seguenti

precauzioni:

• Non servirsi di accessori quali i tubi flessibili ad alta

pressione (A). Usare preferibilmente spazzole morbide

non metalliche (B) e strofinacci (C) in modo da ridurre la

pressione a un livello accettabile.

• Non passare la spazzola sulle etichette e i contrassegni ed

evitare di applicare una pressione eccessiva su di essi.

• Prima del riutilizzo, asciugare con cura e ispezionare

attentamente per individuare eventuali segni di

penetrazione di acqua.

Si possono usare soluzioni a base di cloro.

La concentrazione deve essere inferiore o

pari a 1.000 ppm.

• Tempo di applicazione raccomandato dal fornitore:

circa 1 sec.

• Distanza (consigliata dal fornitore) tra la fonte e la

superficie da disinfettare:

circa 3 mm.

• Applicazione: parti esterne del materasso

(coprimaterasso).

• Frequenza: per ogni nuovo paziente.

Lavaggio in lavatrice del coprimaterasso

Non lavare sempre in lavatrice, in tal modo si ridurrebbe la vita

utile dei componenti. Si deve ricorrere al lavaggio in lavatrice

solo in caso di particolari rischi d’infezione.

Reinstallazione della copri

Nel rimontare la copri dopo il lavaggio in lavatrice,

assicurarsi della corrispondenza con la schiuma associata

(Vedi “Combinazioni di materasso / schiuma / copri”, a

pagina 3)

Orientare opportunamente la copri sulla schiuma

osservando la marcatura posta sulla schiuma verso la

sommità, nella zona piedi.

• Rimuovere sempre dal materasso eventuali tracce di

prodotti utilizzati per il lavaggio o la disinfezione.

• Accertarsi che tutte le parti del materasso siano

materasso.

Il dispositivo deve essere immagazzinato nel suo imballaggio

originale:

• al riparo dalla luce e dall'umidità,

• ad almeno 10 cm dal pavimento per evitare l'ingresso di

liquidi,

• al riparo dalla polvere,

• lontano dalle aree di passaggio.

Non impilare mai più di 15 materassi.
