empfehlen wir, das Gerät immer im voll-
geladenen Zustand zu benutzen.
Die Ladezeit beträgt ca. eine Stunde.
Die Ladekontrollleuchte blinkt, solange
das Gerät geladen wird. Sie leuchtet
konstant, wenn das Gerät voll geladen ist.
Sie können das Gerät nun kabellos ver-
wenden. Während das Gerät verwendet
wird, leuchtet die Kontrollleuchte kon-
stant. Falls die Kontrollleuchte während
der Benutzung ausgeht, ist es Zeit das
Gerät erneut aufzuladen.
Eine Akkuladung reicht für ca. 30 Minu-
ten kabellosen Betrieb.
Die ideale Umgebungstemperatur für
das Laden, die Benutzung und Aufbe-
wahrung des Gerätes liegt zwischen
15 °C und 35 °C. Bei erheblichen Tempe-
raturabweichungen kann sich die Lade-
zeit verlängern oder die Akku-Kapazität
verringern.
Ist die Akku Lebensdauer abgelaufen,
kann dieser vom autorisierten Braun
Kundendienst ausgetauscht werden.
Einschalten
Drücken Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter (4) zum
Einschalten auf Geschwindigkeitsstufe 1.
Drücken Sie den Schalter (4) erneut für
Geschwindigkeitsstufe 2. Um das Gerät
auszuschalten, drücken Sie den Schalter
ein drittes Mal.
Epilation
Stellen Sie sicher,
dass Ihre Haut gut angefeuchtet ist. Für
optimales Gleiten können Sie während
dem Epilieren Duschgel anwenden.
Der Epilierkopf (2) ist mit verschiedenen
Aufsätzen ausgestattet (1, 7 oder 8,
abhängig vom Modell). Wählen Sie den
Aufsatz je nach Ihren Bedürfnissen:
Aufsatz für optimalen Hautkontakt (1):
sorgt für eine perfekte Anpassung in allen
Anwendungszonen.
Massageaufsatz (7): kann anstelle des
Aufsatzes (1) verwendet werden. Er sti-
muliert die Haut und macht dadurch den
Epilierprozess angenehmer.
Straffen Sie immer Ihre Haut während
dem Epilieren. Halten Sie das Gerät in
einem rechten Winkel (90°) an Ihre Haut
und führen Sie es in einer langsamen,
gleichmäßigen Bewegung mit der Ein-/
Ausschalter-Seite entgegen der Haar-
wuchsrichtung.
Epilation der Beine: Epilieren Sie die
Beine von unten nach oben. Bei der
Anwendung an den Kniekehlen muss das
Bein immer gestreckt sein.
Epilation im Achselbereich und in der
Bikinizone:
Da diese Körperzonen besonders
schmerzempfindlich sind, empfehlen wir
Geschwindigkeitsstufe 1. Bei wiederholter
Anwendung lässt das Schmerzempfinden
nach. Vor dem Epilieren sollten Sie den
entsprechenden Bereich gründlich reini-
gen, um Rückstände zu entfernen (z. B.
Deodorant). Bei der Anwendung im Achsel-
bereich strecken Sie den Arm nach oben
und führen Sie das Gerät in verschiedene
Richtungen über die Haut, um alle Härchen
zu erfassen, die in verschiedene Richtun-
gen wachsen können.
Der Anfängeraufsatz (8) für die
Ein gewöhnungsphase kombiniert Epilation
und Rasur. Er wurde ausschließlich für
die Bein-Anwendung auf nasser Haut
entwickelt.
Verwenden Sie immer Rasiergel oder
-schaum auf nasser Haut wenn Sie den
Anfängeraufsatz nutzen.
Verwenden Sie in der Anfangsphase (die
ersten 4 Wochen) den Epilierer mit dem
Anfängeraufsatz einmal pro Woche zum
Epilieren und Rasieren. Seien Sie achtsam
an knochigen oder unebenen Stellen, um

Verletzungen durch die Rasierklinge zu
vermeiden. Entfernen Sie nach jeder
Anwendungen den Schaum, der sich im
Aufsatz ansammelt.
epilieren.
Es kann vorkommen, dass dünn nach-
wachsende Härchen nicht an die Haut-
oberfläche gelangen. Die regelmäßige
Verwendung eines Körper-Peelings
hilft, das Einwachsen von Härchen zu
verhindern. Damit wird die obere Haut-
schicht entfernt und feine Haare können
an die Oberfläche gelangen.
Reinigung des Epilierkopfes
Aus Hygienegründen, reinigen Sie das
Gerät bitte regelmäßig. Entfernen Sie
dafür den Aufsatz (1,7 oder 8) und reinigen
Sie ihn unter fließendem Wasser. Um den
Epilierkopf abzunehmen, drücken Sie die
Entriegelungstaste (5).
Trocken: Reinigen Sie die Pinzettenwalze
mit der Reinigungsbürste.
Nass: Nach jeder Nassanwendung
(besonders mit Rasierschaum) sollte der
Epilierkopf unter fließendem Wasser
abgespült werden. Während des Reinigens
schalten Sie den Epilierer für einige Sekun-
den ein. Nehmen Sie danach den Epilier-
kopf ab und lassen Sie diesen trocknen.
Den Epilierkopf und die Aufsätze nur im
trockenen Zustand wieder aufsetzen.
Informationen zur Epilation
Bei allen Formen der Haarentfernung an
der Wurzel kann es zum Einwachsen von
Haaren oder zu Hautreizungen (z.B. Bren-
nen, Rötungen, Jucken) kommen, abhän-
gig auch von Ihrem jeweiligen Haut- und
Haartyp. Das sind normale Reaktionen,
die auch rasch wieder abklingen. Sie kön-
nen jedoch stärker auftreten, wenn Sie
zum ersten Mal epilieren oder wenn Sie
empfindliche Haut haben. Falls diese
Hautreaktionen nach 36 Stunden noch
anhalten, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt um Rat
fragen. In aller Regel nehmen die Hau t-
reaktionen und das Schmerzempfinden
nach mehrmaliger Anwendung deutlich ab.
Es kann vorkommen, dass sich die Haut
durch das Eindringen von Bakterien ent-
zündet (z. B. wenn das Gerät über die
Haut gleitet). Eine gründliche Reinigung
des Epilierkopfes vor jeder Anwendung
reduziert weitestgehend dieses Infekti-
onsrisiko.
Falls Sie Zweifel haben, ob Sie dieses Ge-
rät benutzen sollen, fragen Sie bitte Ihren
Arzt. In folgenden Fällen sollten Sie das
Gerät nur nach ärztlichem Rat anwenden:
bei Ekzemen, Wunden, entzündeten
Hautreaktionen wie Follikulitiden
(Eiterknötchen) und Krampfadern.
im Bereich von Muttermalen.
bei Schwächung der Abwehrkräfte Ihrer
Haut, die auftreten kann bei Diabetes,

sure that the skin is very moist. In order
to achieve optimum gliding conditions
for the appliance, you may use a
shower gel while epilating.
The epilation head (2) is equipped with
different caps (1, 7 or 8 depending on
model). Choose the cap according to your
needs:
Skin contact cap (1): provides a close
skin contact and adapts to all body areas.
Massage cap (7): can be used instead
of the skin contact cap (1). It stimulates
the skin to make the epilation process
more comfortable.
Always stretch your skin while epilating.
Hold the appliance at a right angle (90°)
against your skin and guide it in a slow,
continuous motion against the hair growth
in the direction of the switch.
Use on legs: Epilate your legs in an
upward direction. When epilating behind
the knee, keep the leg stretched out
straight. Keep your leg stretched out
straight when removing hair in the area
behind the knee.
Use on underarm and bikini zone: Since
these areas are sensitive to pain, start
with speed I. With repeated usage, the
pain sensation will diminish. Before epilat-
ing, thoroughly clean the respective area
to remove residues (like deodorant).
When epilating the underarm, keep your
arm raised up and guide the appliance in
different directions in order to catch all
hairs that might grow in various directions.
Beginner cap (8) for first time users:
combines epilation and shaving to help
getting used to hair removal from the root.
It has been designed for wet usage on legs
only. Always apply shave foam or gel on
your wet skin when using the beginner cap.
In the beginning phase (first 4 weeks), use
the epilator with the beginner cap once a
week to epilate and shave. Take special
care on bony, uneven skin areas in order
to avoid injuries caused by the blades.
Between usages, rinse off the foam built
up on the beginner cap.
After 4 weeks, you will be used to hair
removal and can switch to epilation using
the skin contact (1) or massage cap (7).
If you want to continue to use the beginner
cap, make sure to replace it after 12 usages
(or in case the blade shows signs of wear,
kinks, or damage). Replacement caps
(reference #771WD) are available from the
retailer where the appliance was bought,
from Braun Service Centres or via
www.service.braun.com.
Epilation tips
If you have not used an epilator before,
or if you have not epilated for a long
period of time, it may take a short time
for your skin to adapt to epilation.
The discomfort experienced in the
beginning will decrease considerably
with repeated use as the skin adapts to
the process.

When epilating for the first time, it is
advisable to epilate in the evening, so
that any possible reddening can disap-
pear overnight. To relax the skin we rec-
ommend applying a moisturizing cream
after epilating.
Epilation is easier and more comforta-
ble when the hair is at the optimum
length of 2 to 5 mm. If hairs are longer,
we recommend that you first shave and
epilate the shorter, re-growing hairs
after 3 to 5 days.
Fine, re-growing hairs might not grow
up to the skin surface. Exfoliation helps
preventing in-grown hairs by scrubbing/
removing the upper skin layer so that
fine hairs can get through to the skin
surface.
Cleaning the epilation head
Regularly cleaning the epilation head
ensures good hygienic conditions. First
remove the cap used (1, 7 or 8) and rinse
it under running water. To remove the epil-
ation head, press the release button (5).
Dry: Thoroughly clean the tweezers ele-
ment using the cleaning brush.
Wet: After each wet usage (especially
with gel), clean the epilation head under
running water. During cleaning, turn on
the epilator for a few seconds. Re-attach
one of the caps only when the epilation
head is completely dry.
General information on epilation
All methods of hair removal from the root
can lead to in-grown hairs and irritation
(e.g. itching, discomfort or reddening of
the skin), depending on the condition of
the skin and hair. This is a normal reaction
and should quickly disappear, but may be
stronger when you are removing hair from
the root for the first few times or if you
have sensitive skin.
If after 36 hours the skin still shows irrita-
tion, we recommend that you contact your
physician.
In general, the skin reaction and the sen-
sation of pain tend to diminish considera-
bly with repeated use of Silk·épil.
In some cases inflammation of the skin
could occur when bacteria penetrate the
skin (e.g. when sliding the appliance over
the skin). Thorough cleaning of the epila-
tion head before each use will minimize
the risk of infection.
If you have any doubts about using this
appliance, please consult your physician.
In the following cases, this appliance
should only be used after prior consulta-
tion with a physician: eczema, wounds,
inflamed skin reactions such as folliculitis
(purulent hair follicles), varicose veins,
around moles, reduced immunity of the
skin, e.g. diabetes mellitus, during preg-
nancy, Raynaud’s disease, haemophilia,
immune deficiency or candida.
Shaving (see picture section B)
The shaver head (9) is designed for a fast
and close shave of legs, underarms and
bikini line, contour trimming and cutting
hair to 5 mm length. Use the shaver head
only on dry skin and with speed II.
a Shaving: Select « ».
b Contour trimming: Select « ».
c Cutting hair to 5 mm length:
Select « » and put on the trimmer
cap (I).
d Cleaning
Tap the shaver foil (II) on a flat surface.
Do not clean it with the brush as this
may damage the foil.
e The shaving parts need to be lubrica-
ted regularly every 3 months.
f Replace the foil frame (II) and cutter
block (III) when you notice a reduced
shaving performance. Replacements
parts can be obtained from your
retailer or Braun Customer Service
Centres or via www.service.braun.com.
Do not shave with a damaged foil.

Charge
Gardez votre jambe bien tendue lorsque

tion d’inconfort ressentie au début s’at-
