Produktbeschreibung

MELAstore Sterilization Paper dient dem Verpacken von Medizinprodukten für die Dampfsterilisation oder Ethylenoxid-

Sterilisation. Wenn das Sterilisationspapier richtig angewendet wird, hält es die Sterilität der verpackten Produkte bis zu deren

Verwendung aufrecht. Das Sterilisationspapier ist zum Beispiel für das Verpacken von MELAstore Trays geeignet. Es besteht

aus synthetischen Fasern und Zellstoff, die dem Produkt eine gute Flexibilität, Verformbarkeit und flüssigkeitsabweisende

Eigenschaften verleihen. Das MELAstore Sterilization Paper entspricht der ENISO11607-1 und EN868-2.

Das Produkt ist mit einer LOT-Nummer versehen. Diese Nummer ermöglicht die Rückverfolgung des Produktes.

nVerpacken Sie das Sterilisiergut entweder mit der Diagonal- oder Parallelverpackungstechnik. Nur so ist später ein kontami-

nationsfreies Öffnen möglich.

Parallelverpackung

1. Stellen Sie das Sterilisiergut in die Mitte des Sterilisationspapiers, so dass

die Kanten des Sterilisierguts parallel zu den Kanten des

Sterilisationspapiers sind.

2. Falten Sie die untere Seite des Sterilisationspapiers nach oben über das

Sterilisiergut. Schlagen Sie die Kante bis in Höhe des Sterilisiergutes nach

außen um.

3. Falten Sie die obere Seite des Sterilisationspapiers nach unten. Schlagen

Sie die Kante bis in Höhe des Sterilisiergutes nach außen um.

4. Schlagen Sie alle vier Ecken des Sterilisiationspapiers nach vorne um.

5. Schlagen Sie beide Seiten des Sterilisationspapiers zur Mitte hin um.

6. Verschließen Sie das Sterilisationspapier mit einem geeigneten

Verschlusssystem (z.B. MELAstore Sterilization Tape mit

Prozessindikator).

Diagonalverpackung

1. Stellen Sie das Sterilisiergut wie abgebildet auf die Mitte des

Sterilisationspapiers.

2. Ziehen Sie das Sterilisationspapier von unten nach oben über die Breitseite

des Sterilisierguts, so dass das Sterilisiergut vollständig bedeckt ist.

Schlagen Sie die Ecke nach unten um.

Ein Dreieck (Zipfel), welches das Öffnen unter aseptischen Bedingungen

ermöglicht, ist entstanden.

3. Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang mit der rechten Seite des

Sterilisationspapiers.

4. Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang mit der linken Seite des Sterilisationspapiers.

Eine an der Längsseite offene Tasche ist entstanden.

um.

6. Wenn das Ende des Sterilisationspapiers zu weit übersteht, schlagen Sie

das Sterilisationspapier nach innen um, sodass nur die Spitze über das

Sterilgut hinausragt.

7. Verschließen Sie das Sterilisationspapier mit einem geeigneten

Verschlusssystem (z.B. MELAstore Sterilization Tape mit

Prozessindikator).

Lagerung

Unbenutztes MELAstore Sterilization Paper lagern

Lagern Sie das Sterilisationspapier in Innenräumen zwischen 10-30°C und 35-60% Luftfeuchtigkeit sowie geschützt vor

übermäßigem Staub, Feuchtigkeit und direktem Sonnenlicht, Feuer oder anderen Wärmequellen. Nach dem Öffnen und der

Entnahme die Verpackung wieder staubgeschützt schließen. Bei Einhaltung der Lagerbedingungen hat das unbenutzte Produkt

eine Haltbarkeitsdauer bis zu dem auf dem Etikett angegebenen Verfallsdatum (5 Jahre ab Produktionsdatum).

In MELAstore Sterilization Paper verpackte und sterilisierte Medizinprodukte lagern

Die maximale Lagerfähigkeit ist von der Verpackung und den Lagerbedingungen abhängig. Beachten Sie die regulatorischen

Vorgaben für die Lagerdauer von Sterilgut (in Deutschland z.B. DIN 58953, Teil 8 oder die DGSV-Leitlinien) sowie die

folgenden aufgeführten Kriterien:

nHalten Sie die maximale Lagerdauer entsprechend der Verpackungsart ein. Beachten Sie die Herstellerangaben der Verpa-

ckung.

nLagern Sie das Sterilgut staubgeschützt, z.B. im geschlossenen Instrumentenschrank.

nLagern Sie das Sterilgut geschützt vor Feuchtigkeit.

nLagern Sie das Sterilgut geschützt vor zu großen Temperaturschwankungen.

nDie Räume dürfen dem allgemeinen Personenverkehr nicht zugänglich sein.

Entsorgung

Entsorgen Sie das Produkt gemäß den nationalen Vorgaben. Entsorgen Sie benutztes Sterilisationspapier über den Hausmüll.

HINWEIS: Kennzeichnen Sie kontaminiertes Sterilisationspapier und entsorgen Sie dieses im dafür vorgesehenen Spezialabfall

(z.B. in Biohazardbeuteln).

Instructions for use

Product description

MELAstore Sterilization Paper is used to package medical devices for steam sterilization or ethylene oxide sterilization. If the

sterilization paper is used correctly, it maintains the sterility of the packaged products until they are used. The sterilization paper

is suitable, for example, for packaging MELAstore Trays. It is made from synthetic fibres and wood pulp, which lend the product

good flexibility, formability and liquid-repelling properties. The MELAstore Sterilization Paper meets the requirements of

ENISO11607-1 and EN868-2.

The product has a LOT number. This number allows the product to be traced.

Parallel packaging

1. Place the sterilization material in the middle of the sterilization paper so that

the edges of the sterilization material are parallel with the edges of the

sterilization paper.

2. Fold the bottom side of the sterilization paper upwards over the sterilization

material. Turn over the edge to the outside until it is at the height of the

sterilization material.

3. Fold down the top side of the sterilization paper. Turn over the edge to the

outside until it is at the height of the sterilization material.

4. Turn over all four corners of the sterilization paper to the front.

5. Turn over both sides of the sterilization paper to the middle.

6. Seal the sterilization paper with a suitable sealing system (e.g. MELAstore

Sterilization Tape with process indicator).

ÊThe packaged product is ready for sterilization.

Diagonal packaging

1. Place the sterilization material in the middle of the sterilization paper as

illustrated.

2. Pull the sterilization paper from the bottom up over the wide side of the

sterilization material, so that the sterilization material is completely covered.

Turn down the corner.

A triangle (corner), which enables opening under aseptic conditions, has

been created.

3. Repeat the procedure with the right side of the sterilization paper.

4. Repeat the procedure with the left side of the sterilization paper.

An open pocket has been created on one of the long sides.

5. Turn down the sterilization paper pocket that has been created.

6. If the end of the sterilization paper protrudes too far turn down the

sterilization paper on the inside so that only the tip protrudes beyond the

sterilization material.

7. Seal the sterilization paper with a suitable sealing system (e.g. MELAstore

Sterilization Tape with process indicator).

ÊThe packaged product is ready for sterilization.

Storage

Storing unused MELAstore Sterilization Paper

Store the sterilization paper in indoor rooms between 10-30°C and 35-60% humidity and protected against excessive dust,

moisture and direct sunlight, fire or other heat sources. After opening and removing, reseal the packaging to protect against

dust. If the storage conditions are met, the unused product has a shelf life up to the expiry date given on the label (5 years from

production date).

Storing medical products packed and sterilized in MELAstore Sterilization Paper

The maximum storage time is dependent on the packaging and the storage conditions. Please observe the regulatory

requirements for the storage period of sterile materials (in Germany e.g. DIN 58953, Part 8 or the DGSV guidelines) as well as

the following listed criteria:

nComply with the maximum storage duration in accordance with the packaging type. Comply with the manufacturer’s infor-

mation on the packaging.

nStore the sterile material in a dust-protected environment e.g. in a closed instrument cabinet.

nStore the sterile material in an environment protected against moisture.

nStore the sterile material in an environment protected against excess temperature variations.

nThe rooms must not be accessible to the general public.

Disposal

Dispose of the product according to the national regulations. Dispose of used sterilization paper in the household waste.

PLEASE NOTE: Mark contaminated sterilization paper and dispose of it in the special waste containers provided for this

purpose (e.g. in biohazard bags).
